Home Depot’s Milwaukee Black Friday doorbuster is a steal
It’s that time of the year again. Not only is Black Friday and holiday shopping right around the corner, but the cold winter months are nearly here, which means more time in a warm garage working on DIY projects. If you’re looking for some new power tools and battery packs, Home Depot just revealed some of its doorbuster deals, and one particular Milwaukee option caught my attention.
As you all know, Milwaukee makes excellent tools and many of its best options are readily available at Home Depot. While we’ve already seen some early Black Friday deals from the company, such as the popular buy-one-get-one offer, the in-store-only deals sound pretty great too.
A big battery upgrade
The Home Depot’s official Black Friday local ad is out, and it has a small preview of some of its doorbuster deals. Keep in mind that this is an in-store deal, meaning you’ll have to decide if it’s worth fighting the crowds and waiting in lines to secure the goods. But if you’re brave enough, here’s what you’ll get.
Home Depot has a Milwaukee M12 compact drill and impact driver two-tool kit, which includes two large 6 Ah battery packs, a charger, and a case, all for only $149. That’s one heck of a deal. The battery packs alone are usually over $100 each. This kit is only available in-store, with limited quantities, and technically runs from November 28th through December 3rd.
For comparison, you can purchase this same toolkit online right now, but it only comes with two small 2Ah battery packs, and it costs $199. That means you’ll save $50 during the Black Friday doorbuster sale on the same kit and receive two significantly larger battery packs.
I’m not sure about you, but I’d take extended capacity 6 Ah battery packs over the small 2 Ah batteries any day of the week. That said, it’s sometimes nice to have a smaller, lightweight battery with some of Milwaukee’s compact tools, especially when working on cars and in tight spaces.
The doorbuster also features an inexpensive Ryobi starter drill that I would not recommend; however, there’s an excellent 18-foot multi-position Gorilla ladder, heavily discounted. Either way, decide if you need these tools, then decide if it’s worth leaving the house on Black Friday. If you do, you’ll score quite the tool and battery package.
