‘Stranger Things 5’ Drops Tonight, So You May Want to Shuffle Your Dinner Plans

You’ve waited three-and-a-half years, and finally, Stranger Things is back. Season 5 is the show’s final season, so expect the action to escalate to epic proportions. I mean, more epic than what Hawkins, Indiana, is used to.

Netflix’s global hit series revealed the origin story of both the Upside Down and Vecna in its fourth season, which was also its darkest installment. While I’m uncertain if the new episodes will match that gruesome tone, I should remind you that last season’s finale ended with the town cracking open, providing a new entry point for the creatures of the Upside Down into our world. What could possibly go wrong?

Season 5 will find Eleven, Mike, Will, Dustin, Lucas, Steve, Hopper and the rest on a mission to find the villainous Vecna, who has up and disappeared. Get ready for hunting season.

Millie Bobby Brown, Finn Wolfhard, Noah Schnapp, Caleb McLaughlin, Maya Hawke, Sadie Sink, Gaten Matarazzo, Joe Keery, David Harbour, Natalia Dyer, Winona Ryder, Charlie Heaton, Jamie Campbell Bower, Brett Gelman and Priah Ferguson star in Stranger Things 5. Linda Hamilton and Nell Fisher are among the newcomers this season.

Stranger Things 5 premiere time: When the new episodes drop

Season 5 of Stranger Things will premiere in three volumes: three episodes drop tonight, Wednesday, Nov. 26; four episodes premiere on Christmas Day, Friday, Dec. 25; and the series finale drops on New Year’s Eve, Wednesday, Dec. 31. 

The new episodes will premiere at unusual times, compared to the previous seasons’ rollouts. Vol. 1, Vol. 2 and Vol. 3 will all premiere at 8 p.m. ET/5 p.m. PT.

How to watch Stranger Things 5 on Netflix

You can watch Stranger Things with a subscription to Netflix. The streamer increased its prices earlier this year, which means the Standard with ads plan now costs $8 a month. If you’re interested in going ad-free, you can choose the Standard plan for $18 or the Premium plan, which costs $25 a month.
