    @GMSamuelRhine Nah, that's a bit too expensive 😛

  4. @MrVijfhoek

    October 3, 2024 at 3:39 am

    @GMSamuelRhine Depends on which tape and which device you are using, don't know the exact speed though. I think I once saw one with 300 GB/s. Could be 3GB/s or 30GB/s too, but I'm sure it was in GB/s, and not MB/s, Mb/s or Gb/s.

    dam. how many porn movies are you going to burn?

  10. @ViperTr99

    October 3, 2024 at 3:39 am

    The pointer points at 10. But the speed ist 4,8.
    Plz fix that.

  11. @mattislarsson

    October 3, 2024 at 3:39 am

    @ViperTr99 the pointer only goes to 100 (10×10), the value is at 4800, so it will stick at max. In the end you see that they have changed the multiplier to x1000.

    Ok, this is bullshit. A Megabyte is commonly expressed as "MB", both letters being capitalized. A Megbit is expressed as "Mb". Notice the lower case b.

    I highly doubt they have them in a RAID 0 configuration, likely they have them in a RAID 10 configuration with 192 TB of actual drive capacity.

    1. SSD stands for Solid State Disk, so a Solid State Disk Drive is perfectly possible.

    High write speeds are easy to achieve in RAIDs. Getting high read speeds is impressive.

Liquid Blade: Hardcore's Liquid-Cooled Blade Servers

In 2010, Hardcore Computer adapted its liquid-cooling technology for PCs to the server environment. Liquid Blade immerses the blades in Hardcore’s Core Coolant — a clear dielectric fluid that is odorless and biodegradable. The submerged servers eliminate the need for rack-level fans, and would require only enough room air conditioning to keep staff comfortable. At the recent Data Center World expo in Orlando, Hardcore’s Craig Drugge provided us with an overview of LiquidBlade and how it works. .
