Do you think the weird mainboard configuration is to enable it to work in 1u,2u and tower chassis? Kind of like IBM did with the x3650-M3? Seems like a smart way to design a server series. BTW, grat video as always!

LMAO 2019 is not bad, that server probably has 20 years of non-stop use ahead of it. Our Data Center is using 10 year old servers right now that this could run circles around easy but industries that are not Google or Facebook or Amazon don't look to upgrade every year, they use equipment for many years.

Nice of Arrows to let you play at their PlayHouse. I like seeing those servers too, thank you. At 1U, those fans are going to be noisy, especially if you were to start up cpu intensive jobs like folding at home.

The small card that you have – is an OCP network card.

Why is it that so many rackmount servers still use analog connections for displays? Is it it a legacy thing, that displays in data centers are slow to get updated, a cost thing, or what?

Surprised front 3.5" are not NVMe compatible slots

nice server but unfortunately Lenovo started to lock amd cpu both in servers and even regular computers… and that a shame because if you even put cpu for 1 second it will lock it to vendor. and cpu will be useless

That RAID controller looks like not properly slotted, also the line just above PCI-E slot on the card itself indicates that..

Great video of the new Lenovo servers! Interesting to see that they use ASPEED GPU's instead of Matrox ones now for the display. I need to get my hands on one.

Very interesting and educational videos and above all original.
    Just one question?
What are all these servers for?
Host space rental – crypto mining.
    or something third
Because they all consume a lot of electricity and it is still a cost and investment plus their technical maintenance.
Signs have to do something to pay off their work.

lenovo is sketchy – not suitable for corp environs and they are locking chips to boards – smb clients will be better served with diy but should hold off til after zen4 – til then refurbs work but after it makes sense to upgrade – roi and tco – big hw is all well and good but bandwidth constraints apply – the smartest thing people can do is faster bw and or vpn to vps or local colo

    Does Lenovo have security issues?
Various security risks and vulnerabilities have plagued Lenovo PCs. … Over the years, Chinese computer and smartphone manufacturer Lenovo has been caught pushing bad software on its users. It's not just bad: it's flawed. Whether drivers, workarounds, or bloatware, Lenovo has a terrible record for protecting its users.Dec 14, 2020

What is Roblox? ROBLOX is an online virtual playground and workshop, where kids of all ages can safely interact, create, have fun, and learn. It’s unique in that practically everything on ROBLOX is designed and constructed by members of the community. ROBLOX is designed for 13 to 18 year olds, but it is open to people of all ages. Each player starts by choosing an avatar and giving it an identity. They can then explore ROBLOX — interacting with others by chatting, playing games, or collaborating on creative projects. Each player is also given their own piece of undeveloped real estate along with a virtual toolbox with which to design and build anything — be it a navigable skyscraper, a working helicopter, a giant pinball machine, a multiplayer “Capture the Flag” game or some other, yet-to-be-dreamed-up creation. There is no cost for this first plot of virtual land. By participating and by building cool stuff, ROBLOX members can earn specialty badges as well as ROBLOX dollars (“Robux”). In turn, they can shop the online catalog to purchase avatar clothing and accessories as well as premium building materials, interactive components, and working mechanisms.
