Will you always have the best videos. Are there any Server Rack batteries made that are hearty enough to install 4 of them in a Super C RV? The form factor seems better than Anything else.

I don't have solar yet, but love watching your channel and getting schooled on what to look for and what is good and reliable so that when I do jump into the solar market (as I'm planning to do with my new house … get occupancy in 2 weeks). Learning about efficiencies, build quality etc. is so important to me so that when I do purchase one I've got a good understanding of what I'm getting. I'm DIY just about everything I do, so that to will be part of the complete package = me doing the installation of the solar panels, inverter, batteries et all.

    October 16, 2024 at 8:15 am

I cannot trust you anymore, I bought 4 battleBorn batteries after watching your videos. 2 of them failed withing 6 months and I am not in a country where I can return units and get the warranty replacement.

  11. @Warm_Pepsi

    October 16, 2024 at 8:15 am

Why the claim that the power pro batteries are cheaper? 3 of these have a higher capacity than a power pro; and $100 less.. (no rack). So when all is said and done with the rack; your cost per KWh seems to be slightly better with the Ruixu, correct?

  12. @heathjames7154

    October 16, 2024 at 8:15 am

Question – these are only 100Ah. with cells that are 300+ AH available, why build 100Ah batterires. I rather have 5 – 300 AH batteries than 15 100 ah primarily due to space.. Is anyone building something larger than 100AH that is recommended?

  17. @mayakovski

    October 16, 2024 at 8:15 am

Wow, you really need to check your prices. The cheapest version in Canada is $4,456.000 not including taxes and $500 shipping. So final cost is almost $5,500.00. So you are way off base.

Where we can find the compatibility with inverters?

  25. @eastmanresearch3143

    October 16, 2024 at 8:15 am

i don't think the rack will ever be UL9540 certified; 20kwh maximum capacity at this time. SOK has the same problem; basically you'll have maximum 3-4 batteries per rack and the racks have to be separated at least 3'. This is how permitting is done in CA now and it's a PIA.

  32. @Lancemanion

  35. @cjordan7284

    October 16, 2024 at 8:15 am

It looks like in this video you are running this battery open circuit (I don't see a comm cable exiting the rack). Is that accurate? If so, do you prefer to charge open circuit on the RUiXu?

  36. @jsauerii

Hi will, can you test the 48V 5.12Kw model V5 Pytes Battery? it has a diferent inteface, very robust though. I really would like you to test it. Thanks!

  44. @AppliedAIAutomation

    October 16, 2024 at 8:15 am

These sounds great. The only issue I see is that they charge a 40% restocking fee if you return for any reason. I'm not sure this is even allowed within Europe, but that's their policy. In Spain I have been buying from AutoSolar, which is not perfect, but at least they have a more sensible return policy.

@willprowse would be awesome if you did a review of the Tensite 48V TS-L5000/LV – it's a 4.8kWh 48v battery in Europe for €1,280 (€120 cheaper than the RUiXU)

  45. @ErossaanBooming

    October 16, 2024 at 8:15 am

Ive had a lot of people request Europe/Canadian distributors so this video will serve as a good test! If this video does well and gets shared a lot, then I'll cover more products in these regions. If not, this will be the last one 😂

New Home Backup Server (Dell T640 with 18 20TB Disks)

In this video I create a new backup server from a Dell EMC PowerEdge T640 with 18x 20TB Seagate Exos refurbished drives. Also there’s some more ranting about backups in general. But idk, there are chapters so you can skip to whatever. And it’s not technically a server, in that it doesn’t serve files. It’s really more of a client that takes files from other servers and holds onto them. But I call it a backup server because hardware-wise it’s a server. Anywho, that’s the description. It’s probably not optimal for the YouTube algorithm, but hey, I’m not an influencer even though I have a TikTok account that I don’t use.

The Man Who Revolutionized Computer Science With Math

The Man Who Revolutionized Computer Science With Math

Leslie Lamport revolutionized how computers talk to each other. The Turing Award-winning computer scientist pioneered the field of distributed systems, where multiple components on different networks coordinate to achieve a common objective. (Internet searches, cloud computing and artificial intelligence all involve orchestrating legions of powerful computing machines to work together.) In the early 1980s, Lamport also created LaTeX, a document preparation system that provides sophisticated ways to typeset complex formulas and format scientific documents. In 1989, Lamport invented Paxos, a “consensus algorithm” that allows multiple computers to execute complex tasks; without it, modern computing could not exist. He’s also brought more attention to a handful of problems, giving them distinctive names like the bakery algorithm and the Byzantine Generals Problem. Lamport’s work since the 1990s has focused on “formal verification,” the use of mathematical proofs to verify the correctness of software and hardware systems. Notably, he created a “specification language” called TLA+ (for Temporal Logic of Actions), which employs the precise language of mathematics to prevent bugs and avoid design flaws.
