    The 48V version of these batteries are 109 pounds each (49.5 Kg)! I got a good workout trying to slide them into a rack. The 24V version seems to be slightly lighter at 101.4 lb.

    Good video Will. I am looking to replace wet cell batteries on a backup power system connected to the grid. I am old fashioned and instinctively looked at replacing them with AGM. Your videos have opened my eyes and changed my mind. I really like this rack mount system.
    I was tempted to go for individual cells and make a DYI battery set. Your common sense approach talked me out of it.

    I live in the tropics and only have a small set-up for the time being, but should I go big, I will consider building a small air conditioned solar room. A small 6000 btu mini split should do the trick using about 2kw/day.

    So far I am real disappointed with my 200 amp hour 24 volt EG4 battery. At a 3 light state of charge it will not start a 3/4 horsepower wood jointer motor nor a 13 amp Skill Saw nor even an old 5 amp heavy duty drill. The last 2 motors have easy starting DC/AC type motors with commutators.

    Will,
    I have a troubleshooting question.
    My lifepower4 battery setup of (6) is going into alarm mode and not allowing my inverter to power up.
    It leaves my inverter turned off with the batteries on alarm mode.

    I can run tests on the system. I can turn off the power to the inverter and it will transfer to the batteries and run flawlessly.
    I had it fail (3) times now where it goes into alarm mode and leaves the power completely off.

    Any thoughts ?

    Will, I have a Mpp 2724 all-in-one, plus a EG4LL -do I still need to fuse anything?, I have a circuit breaker for the PV coming in , is that overkill?

    I have. 4. Of these batteries just under 2 years. From signature solar. I am having problems with them. Soh. Is. 80 and 90. On 2 of them. They had me do a drain to. 46 volts. But. 1 crashed at. 50 volt lockout. And the others crashed at. 47 volts and now they will not charge and I seem to can't get them to warranty them
