Question, i have my old SSD and new SSD, can i put them both on my new motherboard and everything transfers like that? i’d have to check if its sata or m.2 but can i have two separate brands of SSD on my new motherboard at the same time?

A build tip is if you feel like you are in over your head while building your pc, stop. Get in touch with someone like Jay who knows things or go onto a build forum and ask questions. Do not be afraid to ask, we have all been there. If you are attempting water cooling for the first time save yourself some time and watch the videos, Jay has some good ones and ask questions if you do not know. Never guess, that could cost you alot of $

I just realised I have it in single channel. For future build, that will change. The comment about fan placement was also spot on. Excellent observation.

My number 1 tip is – Build a pc for what you are using it today.
    – Don't buy an extreme big case with 6 or 8 – 3.5" HDD drive bays, if you're not going to use it.
    – Try to save money on parts and consider a performance gain where you can.

    – Believe me, building a pc is an unique experience but, keep in mind.
it's not an cheap 'toy' that you're going to remove parts or make an upgrade anytime soon as you'll think.

Any stand outs in the wrong place can short circuit & fry your system.

Rule number One. Use ESD safe station. I am aware most components are protected to some extent, but better be safe than sorry…

  12. @peterwstacey

    November 1, 2024 at 7:58 am

Some less obvious ones that I have learned over the years: (1) make sure motherboard standoffs are installed before you put the motherboard in the case, (2) connect the EPS power before screwing the motherboard down (some cases can be tight in that corner), and (3) download drivers (especially ethernet and WiFi) on another computer onto a USB Flash Drive (depending on your hardware and OS, you might not have working internet upon installation)

I’ve been building computers for over 30 years now and the best part about building a computer today is having YouTube reviews on almost every part you’ll ever want to use. I just built a TT Tower300 and I watched a ton of video builds with that case and I knew exactly what I wanted and what was going to work and what wouldn’t work.

Anti static strap, I have always been told that if you don't ground yourself using the strap you will end up frying your components so for the sake of speaking £10 or less on a strap it's complete peace of mind

I installed dual-channel, though I will check to be sure. However, I was taught, over a decade ago, to use 1 and 3. I only recently learned to use the end of each channel, which is typically 2 and 4.

I have a 4060 card 280mm and my case says it only acceots 270mm. But it did fit even though there's little space to the front fans, like 1cm. Is this okay? Or should there be more space for something?

  25. @christianvincentrivera7901

The hose of the aio cooler should always be on the higher end of the radiator to promote better cooling

  26. @ryaningram5385

    November 1, 2024 at 7:58 am

Generally, the only things I'll install on a mb before screwing it into the case are RAM & m2 SSDs. And that's about it. I don't even mess with those plastic cpu fan/placeholders until I get the mb installed, since i dont want to risk the metal plate falling off the back and creating extra work for myself. I also take this time to organize the case/front panel LED wires and get those plugged in and tucked away somewhere.
I always use a spotlight on whatever i'm working on too….usually just my cell phone light, but a stationary hanging spotlight or headlight would work too…and make sure the headlight is one of the real dorky ones that your wife/sig other will roll their eyes at. 😉

I bought a Be Quiet Dark Rock Pro 4 years ago and it works great but it's so god damn big it makes maintenance extremely painful. I'll never buy a giant cooler again lol

If you building a computer, dont buy a box that looks good and everything just fits nice. later you want to upgrade and upgrade does not fit. People see a box and just say it looks nice and buy it.

To those who are lost 17:50 he was trying to say even though there appear to be 2 cables in that pigtail it is still a single cable if you look. A single cable can only supply 150 watts. Here 20:00 he is plugging a 2nd set of pigtail cable into the GPU thus supplying a total of 300 watts.

Cooling is probably the most important part of a build. Air flow, and correctly done, improves performance and longevity of parts to no end. It’s the same in any engineering, building cars etc. keeping things cool prevents a myriad of issues occurring.

  34. @Benadiction

    November 1, 2024 at 7:58 am

Pick your components in this order:

CPU: Choose the CPU you want that's right for your budget, as this will dictate your RAM speed, as well as motherboard. Look at the specs of the CPU, find out what RAM speed it can handle so you don't pay more money for RAM you'll be losing out on. Also, then your motherboard socket type and gen type to match your CPU.

CPU Cooler: Though this might have to be adjusted depending on the case you settle on. Remember though, cooling is better that looking cool as a rule of thumb.

Motherboard: To match your CPU, this will then also have parameters limiting how much, what type, and how fast the RAM supported is. Also your interfaces like headers, IO's etc.

RAM: Select your ram that's compatible with the previous two steps.

GPU: This is pretty free, but don't fall into the trap of getting a high end GPU with a low end CPU, as you'll likely end up bottlenecking the card. Do your research and find out what GPU is a good match for your budget and build.

Storage: Choose the storage that's right for you and supported by your motherboard, easy enough

Power: Now choose your PSU, you can use sites to calculate your builds wattage requirements so you can select a PSU that's right for you and your budget, as well as has the right connections for your chosen components. Aim to give yourself 20% headroom.

Case: Now choose your case so the parts you have chosen fit in it!

One common mistake people make is they think it’s ok to touch all the sockets and ports with their bare dirty hands 🤣

  37. @anthonywilson-s9b

    November 1, 2024 at 7:58 am

Building my first PC everything you talked about I did correctly the only thing I did wrong I added another 1 terabyte of SSD had to remove my 4070 super and did not push the unlock tab enough thank God I'm pretty sure I did not break my graphics card Too scared to pull it out the check Pretty sure it's OK because video card works fine could've broke my motherboard only thing I broke was the latch and I put it right back on and it's working fine

  38. @TheSeth1992

    November 1, 2024 at 7:58 am

So, when i built my PC i built it as i went, the first two items were the case then the motherboard when i got it i put the motherboard in immediately – heres the thing thats fine if you do this however 1 thing everyone should keep in mind when doing this is those motherboards do flex and flexing too much can damage it, not that i damaged the motherboard i noticed this when installing the ram it wanted to flex so do not just slap it in there that is bad.

  39. @Wizmoisa

    November 1, 2024 at 7:58 am

Thank you! I realised that I messed up the fan on my CPU cooling tower! Will do a little stress test to collect temp before after under stress

ive been using my laptop for 2 years and i noticed that it only caps for 60FPS but i did not mind coz i thought it is the highest my graphics card can run. but now the last tip is about the refresh rate default in the monitor, and i discovered that it was capped at 60. this warrants a like 😀

Bro the hz thing… ive been running my fucking pc for 3 years on 60hz -_-

A tip I learned last week: Make sure to upgrade your bios before changing your CPU

y do u have a bunch of hydrogen in the back

  45. @andydaimon9898

    November 1, 2024 at 7:58 am

Another tip for the graphic card, buy a support for it. As cards going "bigger" and taller, we've seen a lot of problems due to weight between the card and the pcie connector. Add a support from bottom to corner or install just beneath your card a support that will fit the entire length of your card. You'll lose 1 slot for PCIe then. But add that support to avoid breaking your card.

What is Roblox? ROBLOX is an online virtual playground and workshop, where kids of all ages can safely interact, create, have fun, and learn. It’s unique in that practically everything on ROBLOX is designed and constructed by members of the community. ROBLOX is designed for 13 to 18 year olds, but it is open to people of all ages. Each player starts by choosing an avatar and giving it an identity. They can then explore ROBLOX — interacting with others by chatting, playing games, or collaborating on creative projects. Each player is also given their own piece of undeveloped real estate along with a virtual toolbox with which to design and build anything — be it a navigable skyscraper, a working helicopter, a giant pinball machine, a multiplayer “Capture the Flag” game or some other, yet-to-be-dreamed-up creation. There is no cost for this first plot of virtual land. By participating and by building cool stuff, ROBLOX members can earn specialty badges as well as ROBLOX dollars (“Robux”). In turn, they can shop the online catalog to purchase avatar clothing and accessories as well as premium building materials, interactive components, and working mechanisms.
