Ive been thinking for a few days now about something.

This may be a idea for video , Surely i cant be the only one that has thought about doing this , maybe as a community it can be decided, or through one of your legendary and nice to watch vids.

Hear me out but no need to respond with advise but maybe warn me if i will cause a nuclear meltdown , this is my setup.

2x 5kw mmpt inverters in parallel ( same battery bus bar, and same output on the ac side = 10kw ) , each inverter has 2800w of panels on it ( i know its under the required amount of panels) ofcause running on its fuses and breakers.

I was thinking as a video idea for you, run 1 charge controller on a solar panel, then run 2 charge controllers off 1 panel and see if the system is more efficient, does it then utilise more of the panels potential or does this cause less output.

With my panels ,was thinking of making it 1 large array with both inverters pulling from the 1 array ( as everything is running parallel except the solar input)

Its horryfying trying to google this as most people have to separate batteries on the charge controllers which will of cause charge the lowest battery the most.

I have been binge-watching a bunch of your videos. I like how you enunciate the
word "tighten". You reminded me of a fellow in the shop who would routinely
encourage others after they had done an exceptional job by calling them a Titan.
Will, you are definitely a Titan!

Love the video.. was wondering what way would be cheaper bringing the power from my solar system on a shed to my other loads.. Do I inverter to AC close to my solar array or can I run DC underground.. mainly worried about voltage drop even though it's only about 50 yards away..

Will, love your channel. Forgive my ignorance but if I went up to the sungold 15 kw split phase inverter would I be able to wire the output to my house panel? If so would I be getting 2 offset phases of 110 volts thereby creating my 220 volts just like off the grid?

Ok please clear up my confusion, why dont people just use a all in one invertor in rv builds…..I am building a 24ft travel trailer this looks as if its the best way to do my solar to keep from having a bunch of individual components can you give me pros and cons because I respect your expertise……Thank You in Advance

Can I AC couple my Enphase solar system to this inverter? Will it create its own micro-grid when the grid is down so my solar panels don't shut down?

Will, off subject here but do you know of a bluetooth multicell monitor that all it does is just show cell status with a 4 digit display per cell? No bms or cell balancer wanted. I can't find 1 anywhere.

    November 3, 2024 at 8:36 pm

Does mounting the SCC / Inverter in this way affect any heat dissipation? and chance of heat issues? (I should say, since setting up, any heat issues?)

I am in need of putting an off grid system in a tiny home. I know little about solar and do not want to pay a solar guy 40 k if this is something I could do. Do you have any videos on good full off grid systems and how to install and put together? If not would you consider doing one. Thank you 🙏

Questions regarding emf or dirty electricity…are you familiar with these things? Do you test for them? If so, what kind of emf/dirty electricity are they putting out? Same question for solar panels. I guess dirty electricity is only a matter of the shielding. Just curious though. Thanks

    November 3, 2024 at 8:36 pm

i like this system and would like to do something like this in a cargo trailer later on.
I'm looking into a bean teardrop trailer. their black bean model boasts a battery system 1/2 that of a tesla house system (but doesnt look efficiently set up). I dont know enough about it though, but see many overland solar systems going to red arch.

anyone in the comments (or Will) have a input if Bean is doing it right, or if there's a better setup I could do on my own?

Forget removing the display screen for remote viewing. Just buy solar assistant running on a raspberry for $200 and you can update the inverter settings and view all data from anywhere on the internet, all you need is wifi avbl at the inverter location. I have 2 lv6548 and 6 eg4 batteries

Hey Will, love this idea, you can also add a 1U surge protector and have a nice all in one with the plugs facing the front and your wiring in the back

    November 3, 2024 at 8:36 pm

can i charge this system with a propane generator converted to run off wood chips in the winter? I'm worried about my propane generator not being a pure sign wave. I'm thinking that i would be better off bypassing the propane generator's inverter and running the dc into the dc solar inputs. whats the best way to charge a solar setup with a propane or natural gas generator

Hi Will, the Axpert King RACK 48V 5000W PF1 inverter is designed to fit into a server rack, but it's for EU 230V.
Otherwise the Axpert inverters look the same as the MPP inverters, but are designed for EU 230V.

    November 3, 2024 at 8:36 pm

What about using a standard rack like what's behind you? A U Line modular rack?

? will this system work on AC charging only as well?

  35. @davidsanker8904

    November 3, 2024 at 8:36 pm

Does this inverter aio work in a ups kind of mode?

  38. @WillProwse

    November 3, 2024 at 8:36 pm

The rack is wobbly because my garage floor is not flat (even though it looks like it in the video). Furthermore, there are holes in the feet to anchor it to the ground. It is solid.

The $7000 price includes everything you see in the video. It does not include the solar panels or the mc4 extension cable. Or the ac panel you wish to add.

The bracket we need to add cannot obstructe air flow to the unit. Using server rack ears would not work.

What is Roblox? ROBLOX is an online virtual playground and workshop, where kids of all ages can safely interact, create, have fun, and learn. It’s unique in that practically everything on ROBLOX is designed and constructed by members of the community. ROBLOX is designed for 13 to 18 year olds, but it is open to people of all ages. Each player starts by choosing an avatar and giving it an identity. They can then explore ROBLOX — interacting with others by chatting, playing games, or collaborating on creative projects. Each player is also given their own piece of undeveloped real estate along with a virtual toolbox with which to design and build anything — be it a navigable skyscraper, a working helicopter, a giant pinball machine, a multiplayer “Capture the Flag” game or some other, yet-to-be-dreamed-up creation. There is no cost for this first plot of virtual land. By participating and by building cool stuff, ROBLOX members can earn specialty badges as well as ROBLOX dollars (“Robux”). In turn, they can shop the online catalog to purchase avatar clothing and accessories as well as premium building materials, interactive components, and working mechanisms.
