GME Stock: DRS to ComputerShare Why It Should Matter to You

This video goes over why ComputerShare matters and what it actually means to register your shares in your own name. All in all, just providing my GME update and documenting the journey of my own personal investment in GameStop.

This channel does NOT provide financial advice. I do not provide financial advice. Only sharing my thoughts and opinions, always do your own research!

Found this video completely randomly. Not sure at all how it showed up on my feed, but it is so right. DRS is the way to remove the corruption from the system. You don't own anything not in your name.

I understand the safety aspect, however, look at Dillards. About 70% of the companies stock is in fact drsd. And with the current free float and the reported SI% there is more than 100% of the float in circulation. But there is nothing done about it. The aspect of it "locking the float" is therefore completly usles and in fact probably fud.

    October 2, 2024 at 6:54 am

I understand the possibility of brokers removing the buy or even sell buttons. But do you think it’s possible they can liquidate your GME position without your permission? Like you said, this is uncharted waters. If such a squeeze is possible, can they force sell your shares?

  10. @shazadster

    October 2, 2024 at 6:54 am

    Hell yeah

  11. @slickvim

    October 2, 2024 at 6:54 am

So my shares are not DRS… what happens to my shares when they'll do a stock split dividend?

Should I sell all my shares and try to buy direct registered shares?

I'm new in stocks and I'm trying to understand…

  12. @skale1963

    October 2, 2024 at 6:54 am

The question I have is why are these brokers so eagerly lending at rates like 2-3% annual rate. I know lately the rate is higher now. But still why are they helping shorts?

  13. @skale1963

    October 2, 2024 at 6:54 am

Another question is if you DRS them, can we get out of our positions during MOASS in a timely manner? Has anyone done DRS from TD Ameritrade? How long does that process take?

  14. @raynardjohnson3680

    October 2, 2024 at 6:54 am

  15. @Jnrkrisp

    October 2, 2024 at 6:54 am

Can you sell at current market price on computer share and is it instant like a regular broker ? Only concern of mine is not being able to sell some of my shares at current market price during MOASS

  17. @evettmystique7081

Is there a way to transfer shares from other stock brokers to Computershare ?

  18. @bufordhicks337

    October 2, 2024 at 6:54 am

Brokerage firms can only lend out shares that in a margin and account and is actively using that margin (has a margin debit).

  19. @JHMGlass

    October 2, 2024 at 6:54 am

I only just started DRS, waaaay overdue

  20. @superdup9118

    October 2, 2024 at 6:54 am

I have my GME in my Chase brokerage account. Thinking about DRS, it’s only 4 shares, yeah I’m late to the “game”. I read CS doesn’t charge to accept transfer but the transferring brokerage might. Does any one know if Chase charges?

  23. @gingerilla21

    October 2, 2024 at 6:54 am

Is is smart to DRS amc shares?
When I sell during MOASS with fidelity, can they not pay me? Help me understand

  24. @bitcoinbull6564

    October 2, 2024 at 6:54 am

I own both stocks. I would hate to miss out on one simply because others say not too. That way if 😢hey both rip at least I have exposure.

  25. @Technosauce

    October 2, 2024 at 6:54 am

Kek baggies. Over two years since the squizzle. It's extremely counterintuitive to claim you are orchestrating a short squeeze when you aren't allowing your shares that you own to be shorted, thus diminishing the net short exposure. Trust the plan though. I'm sure that almost 19,000 percent move in GME in 2021 totally wasn't the squeeze

  26. @jd-yo2is

    October 2, 2024 at 6:54 am

Terrible video lol. Brokerages can’t lend out shares in cash accounts and they need your permission in margin account (loan consent form is optional)

  27. @PukeSkinwalker

    October 2, 2024 at 6:54 am

We need to understand that DRSing is only going to lead to dilution at or near where the obvious point of near no shares are accounted for. This is to be anticipated but the goal needs to be DRSing and then pointing it out. It will give GME tons of cash in the process but it will be obvious. We also need to get people from the Superstonk community appointed to GME's board to prevent corruption in the previous manner. This is the way.

  28. @86RAggie

    October 2, 2024 at 6:54 am

6/4 and the madness got me here.

  29. @AndrewLida

    October 2, 2024 at 6:54 am

DRS is CRUCIAL!!!! Otherwise the shares are imaginary! And live in the dark pools, not affecting the price of GME.

  30. @AndrewLida

    October 2, 2024 at 6:54 am

The shorts on GME from 2021 never closed!!!!
    Let that sink in people!!!

what is a server? In computing, a server is a dedicated computer or device that provides functionality on behalf of other devices or clients. This architecture is called the client server model, servers can provide various functionalities, often called services, such as sharing resources or data among multiple clients, or performing computation for a clients

server could be dedicated to handle one of these services only where you would have one dedicated server for a website, one server for data storage, and is server for email. And this model is what larger organizations use. Well, you can also set up a server to handle each of these services on the same machine, which is what typically happens in smaller organizations.

What is Computer Engineering?

Computer engineering is the combination of electrical engineering and computer science. Computer engineering majors will take basic circuit analysis classes where they will learn about voltage and current in resistor, capacitor, and inductor circuits.

They will learn the basics of binary and how computers read 1’s and 0’s. Additionally computer engineers learn about memory, registers, microprocessors, and more of the computer hardware.

Computer engineers will then share many of their classes with computer scientists where they will learn computer programming.

The curriculum will consist of at least learning C and java. C programming can then be applied to programming hardware like robotic vehicles.

After learning different aspects of programming, computer engineers will have an option to take various elective classes that focus on specific aspects of either computer engineering, computer science, or electrical engineering. Computer engineering is a very flexible major because of having experience on both the hardware and software side so you can cater your career path based on your interests.
