    Fun fact, almost all audio professionals position desk speakers at a 45 degree angle. This is pretty standard for stereo mixing

    Does it make any sense to switch to an OLED panel for gaming? I'm just wondering, because every OLED I see looks so damn beautiful. I'd want at least 165 Hz though – I don't think 120 Hz is enough for me.

    I've been researching setups for a while now, and i'm so sad that ALL of them look the same, trying to be fancy with their minimalism or design choices, speficifly the creative ones are less creative than any other, in the end, they are all the same flavour of bland. why is there never any personality in them. i will try to make my own video of my future CREATIVE desk setup soon. (sorry i had to rant on this specific one, but a comment is n interaction, right 😉 )

    As a 50-ish man working in IT, I still enjoy some RGB goodness on my desk (Philips Hue lights and Elgato light strip).

    I am 40 and have rgb everything LOL. I have an LG CX 42" oled that I have been using is my primary monitor since the 48" was released (has 14,602 hours screen on time as of this moment). No discernable burn in on that. I have two acer preditor 27" 1440p monitors as portrait wings. So a very similar display setup. I wall mounted the 48" with an ultra thin wall mount to get the display as deep as possible. All 3 line up perfectly like your 24/42/24 setup. wing monitors have similar desk mounts. Desk is an Ikea countertop that is like 8ft long, so its huge. Computer is a 13900k/4090 windows gaming PC. I have been loving the 27/48/27 display setup, works great for work, editing, gaming, whatever I throw at it. I also have a iPad air 11, stream deck xl and a laptop stand and dock to switch between a work PC and the gaming PC. I use a USB switcher to switch the keyboard between the two. Also some 5" studio monitors under the 27" monitors which nicely hide the monitor mounts so the whole thing looks like its floating. Cool to see someone else using a similar setup with the monitors as it seems to be super uncommon.

    I've been using triple 24inch 1080P displays for the last 8 years. I wanted to upgrade my main monitor to 1440P or 4K but don't feel like updating the other 2.
    Are there any scaling issues with having monitors resolution not match up?
    Are your side monitors 1080P 60hz?

    Has anyone found any smaller monitors with another monitor that fit as cleanly vertically together as this set up?

    42 inches is just too big for my set up. I'd love a 27-32 with a second vertical matching up!

Having your own home server rack or homelab is really useful, but you have to have a relatively large space to set it up, it generates a lot of heat and can be pretty noisy. So that’s why I built this, the world’s smallest server rack that fits right in on my desk alongside a drink or cup of coffee. In this video, I’ll show you how I made it.
