Learn Network Cable Management Inside Rack From Scratch

Hello everyone this is Hafiz with you and welcome to my channel.. As you can see this video is about building a network cabinet from scratch it is very important to build your network cabinet properly. If you don’t have a good network cable management strategy in place, not only your racks will look unorganized, but it can make maintenance more complicated, so i recorded this video from scratch so you can have an idea how to professionally setup network cabinet.

Best video I've seen that actually shows how patch panels work in practice. Didn't realise there was that interface at the back that your twisted pairs went into until now.

Cable ties are fine, these clowns have no clue. Invest in a Panduit GTS-E and never tighten past torque setting 3. The people saying you overtightened are correct though, you don't want to see loom deformation. Ideally, your looms look straight and flowy, not pinched.

Thats technical wrong! By seperating the twisted pair you will get into Problems like next/fext etc awful job!

Why such circuitous routing of cables? Why not use shorter patch cables and run them directly from patch panel to switch?

    Velcro not cable ties

  20. @aaronmctainsh872

    October 2, 2024 at 5:06 pm

The patch panel will likely test with near end cross talk faults as hes taken all the twist out of the pairs before the point of termination. Massive error

I do not understand why we cannot directly plug the ethernet cables coming out from the walls directly to the PoE switch. What is the reason to have an intermediate device in between the ethernet cables coming out from wall and PoE switch?

Just to let you know that for more than a decade now (it's 2023), there has been a concerted effort in the Networking and Broadcasting industry to avoid using nylon cable ties.

Today I got the idea that what's the actual use of patch panel👍🏻
And noticed that patch panel port number should be equal to switch port number 😅

5:00 On the bottom cable you first connected white-brown. And in the top one you connected the brown one.
