Dell PowerEdge M620 Blade Server Review & Overview | Memory Install Tips | How to Configure RAM
The Dell M620 – This 12th generation blade server is a first-rate virtualization technology powerful enough to handle critical data environments. In our video, we will provide a general system overview and dive into the different memory options. Our goal is to help end users and Dell enthusiasts learn more about the M620 blade server as a whole. Its fail safe technology utilizes redundant SD media to provide fail over response for embedded hypervisors. For infrastructure serviceability, the M620 server has a classic M-blade series Chassis Management Controller (CMC) with a single or multiple chassis that can easily be managed cross-network or cross-platform. Fully scalable, the M620 offers large memory capacity and a variety of I/O options.
The M620 supports up to two Intel® Xeon® E5-2600 processors and a maximum of eight cores per processor. Each core is coupled with Intel Advanced Vector Extensions for x86 architecture, Intel Trusted Execution for secure boot and system security; and Intel AES New instructions for protecting network traffic and IT infrastructures data. The M620’s optimized Intel Turbo Boost technology allows the processor to automatically run each processor core beyond marked frequency; and Intel DDIO allows I/O traffic to direct memory straight to processor cache enabling reduced latency.
The M620 is available in three different hard-drive backplane options and a new Express Flash PCIe SSD option that can provide accelerated performance beyond its predecessor technology. Its internal storage can manage up to 1.2 terabytes.
For maximum speed and bandwidth, the M620 can handle up to 768 gigabytes of buffered, registered or load reduced memory within a dual processor system. The M620 has twenty-four DIMM slots and accepts 4GB, 8GB, 16GB or 32GB DDR3 memory modules up to 1600 Mt/s. For added security, the M620 includes advanced reliability, availability, serviceability (RAS) features for increased performance and decreased data loss in the event of crashes caused by system errors.
The M620 is compatible with Microsoft Windows, Linux, and Citrix software which makes it the perfect server for any medium to large scale business environment.

Супермикро, в отличии от 3000$ техподдержки ibm, над которыми ржут на официальном сайте, которую у нас в городе заменяют Реальные пацаны с паяльником за 3.500₽…В отличии от Dell с его Гениальным ходом встроить в ipmi- модуль контроль скоростей вентилятора и статистику по контролю температур😂 Про hp, с хитачи, то ли Fujitsu, лучше промолчу… 1.5 года максимум…

I never heard of the company before and was wondering why the actual SSDs had Intel SSD branding. Did some quick research and found that Intel sold off their flash storage business, which is an understandable move as I don't think they were able to stay competitive in the consumer/prosumer PC SSD space and had already shifted focus to enterprise storage.
