Kinda feels like you under-appreciate why ethics and having the experience to be a good person outside of work is important to everyone.

I like you; but man that was disappointing to hear that minimizing aside from you. A classical social education is important; even to us technical types. Soft skills are valuable.

    Hi, I have a question.
Regarding Computer Science graduate schools, what impact does the US News ranking have on getting a job as a software engineer?
I am not sure whether or not to go on to graduate school to which I have been accepted.

dunno why im watching this lol. i finished 1st year of software engineering and I'm changing it to nothing in the STEM sector. you're lucky that you made friends there however. nothing beats being in a central London university, being the only female of colour and making ZERO friends :)));( peace #EnjoyLife

    Hi Mayuko,
Thank you for sharing your journey. (And for acknowledging honors chemistry is difficult 😀). Chemistry (all courses) I think is one of the most abstract and difficult sciences I have ever studied. Does it pay well to be a software engineer? And can you achieve a work/life balance with your career? When I took python programming just to test it out without background it wasn’t an easy course but I did ok. Let me know what you think about my other questions above. Thanks. I am secretly vying to earn 170K and above salary. Thanks

Hi! I want to be a Java Developer. I've already done Bachelors in Computer Science so I've all the basic knowledge of programming in general. So which Masters I should choose which will help me purely in Java Development/coding(not machine learning kind of stuff and all the very basic theoretical stuff like linear algebra, discrete mathematics, Data struc & Algo, OOP,AOOP ). I must have to do Masters in Germany (on student visa, also have to find a job in there) so bootcamp etc is not an option for me . Kindly suggest.

Watching this video actually made me more nervous and is making me question if computer engineering is really for me. I am taking calculus at rhe moment, and oh my goodness, it's a lot of work for a short term course. Sometimes I don't think I have what it takes.

Thank you so much for making this video and keep doing what youre doing.

When I started CS was part of EE. Your start into CS was ASM and Basic, C, c++ after you had some electronics and electrical. I then ended up going to the Naval Nuclear Power program trained as a Reactor operator. After the navy worked for DOD while going to school. I really believe they taught CS far better then than they do now. A person who made it through the course work then understood the underlying fundamentals a lot better and tends to have fewer issues solving problems. Most CS degrees are like the one you got these days or worse. There are probably only 2 colleges I would accept the degree from as to mean you actually know how to do the job.

  27. @manvirkaur7163

    November 3, 2024 at 6:45 am

Oh my.. our journey quite similar lol. I’m a CS major as well! Entering college with no idea whatsoever.. wasted a couple of courses 😂 like THE PSYCHOLOGY! And finally my sister one day mentioned for me to maybe try CS and Java was my very first introduction class as well! No regrets ever since!!!!

I'm in my third year right now taking OS, AI, Multimedia, Database and Computer network. Tbh, most of my teachers suck very much because they are mostly academicians who don't really do many field works. They don't know how to teach and being passionate towards the topic. Sooo Youtube is where I learn mostly. I think when choosing college, it is really important to check the curriculum and the professors

Firmware engineering teams are usually a mix of computer science and electrical engineering people. The CS engineers criticize the EE engineers because the EE engineers don’t have the most common algorithms memorized. The EE engineers criticize the CS engineers because the CS engineers have trouble understanding datasheets and hardware.

What is Roblox? ROBLOX is an online virtual playground and workshop, where kids of all ages can safely interact, create, have fun, and learn. It’s unique in that practically everything on ROBLOX is designed and constructed by members of the community. ROBLOX is designed for 13 to 18 year olds, but it is open to people of all ages. Each player starts by choosing an avatar and giving it an identity. They can then explore ROBLOX — interacting with others by chatting, playing games, or collaborating on creative projects. Each player is also given their own piece of undeveloped real estate along with a virtual toolbox with which to design and build anything — be it a navigable skyscraper, a working helicopter, a giant pinball machine, a multiplayer “Capture the Flag” game or some other, yet-to-be-dreamed-up creation. There is no cost for this first plot of virtual land. By participating and by building cool stuff, ROBLOX members can earn specialty badges as well as ROBLOX dollars (“Robux”). In turn, they can shop the online catalog to purchase avatar clothing and accessories as well as premium building materials, interactive components, and working mechanisms.
