This rack looks great but i would say that it would be great to have this rack in bigger size models like 8U or ideally 12U as , generally you have other equipment to put.

If you need more U, a fixed rack is probably a better choice. I can see these for small offices and moving them aside for cleaning and maintenance. Otherwise I think fixed racks are a better choice.

It’s a gimmick with limited use. The nice thing about the standard 19” rack is that it is a… “standard”. The mounting system used in this one is only guaranteed to work with Ubiquiti gear. No Middle Atlantic shelves, drawers, brush panels or blanks. No APC UPS, and possibly but no guarantee for any non-UBNT device with removable ears. It looks shiny and nice, but it’s not for me or my clients.

We are think of stopping the use of Ubiquiti as they are unable to keep stock. We can't wait for months to have a product available.

Useless if you have no space on the sides.
And usually you do not have.
In another case there are no reasons to use such a compact "rack".

Good job on the review, especially the closing comments which i agree with. I think there are other products on the market that are better priced and have some other features but i think Ubiquiti offering this kind of rounds off their offerings as an all in one network gear provider. i.e. if you want to just order everything with 1 site visit, this gives you some more options. The wheels are kinda funny tho…

The website says the following devices are not compatible:

US-48-750W, does anyone know why?
Also, I assume the US 24 PoE 250W is the same as the US-24-250W in terms of rack incompatibility?
