In this video, we take a look at a rackmount solution from some STH readers at MyElectronics.nl. This kit allows you to install a single Mac Mini (including the new M1), two Mac Minis, and/ or the Raspberry Pi into 1U of rack space. We take a look at the solution and show both the 2x Mac Mini and a 1x Mac Mini + Raspberry Pi (RPi) solution.
Note: The MyElectronics.nl folks sent the two kits, but the review/ video were totally at my discretion (they did not even know there would be a video.) We are marking this as “paid promotion” for that reason.

About I/O on the front of the rack. Normally you don't. For the typical server rack turn your switch around so all your cables are inside the rack and not hanging out the front. Of course this isn't a typical server rack.

I’ve had my Mac have been racked for a while in a competitors system for a while and I love it. I’ve also 3D printed a 2u solution for my pi cluster and it works without issue ..

This is great! I can see this being super useful in a classroom environment where I want to create “learning pods” – I’ll be looking at these in the new year for sure.
I might use single Pi mounts on the right side to expose the pins from the Pi – but chances are I wouldn’t use that aspect of the Pi if I was rack mounting them.

I have two 2010 Mac Minis I want to rack mount (facing in the same direction as the ones you show). Your rack mount says "2011" or later. Is there a 2010 solution?
