I'm glad back when i was in uni i had the health to do overtime grindset stuff & exercise & extra tech reading & projects & creative projects & studying with 2 schools at once at some point & networking with industry veterans on twitter, that really got me ahead of the competition (top 5% of students, top 1% of intern applicants in a AAA game studio). Nowadays I have chronic fatigue, long covid, and i can barely work 2h a day, but my dummy thick profile still got me in the door, thanks past me & school mates who teamed up with me, and thanks europe and socialism, and thanks my parents. (got 9 years of uni (masters+extra bachelors in game art) for 5k€).

This is a dense, inexperienced commentator – might as well be a boot camp coder, products like Cursor Ai will ensure you're out of a job by next year – while a genuine CS programmer you'll need that math, trust… if not, you're a hack Ai will own.

This scares me, Im a senior high school student (Grade 11) and need 2 more years before i finally enter college that takes another 4 years. I want to be a Game Developer and the course for it is Computer Science. Im an ordinary student, not a bad student but also not a student who get straight line of 9's (Or straight A's) that has no knowledge about basic computer and programmings. Am i cooked?

I wish I went to a school where the CS program had you building your own compilers and making programming languages. I'm at the halfway point and every course is a new language where we learn the absolute basics of flow control and intro to OOP over and over and over again.
