The RM42-502 is a complete high-end server chassis from SilverStone which was designed in order to meet the needs of home server users. As it is still rare to see custom high end parts installed on a server chassis, RM42-502 is designed for space optimization which supports liquid cooling radiators, motherboard up to SSI-EEB and graphics card length of up to 337mm.
The two 5.25 drive cages are directly compatible with two 3.5″ drives or four 2.5″ drives, making this 4U chassis unparalleled in compactness and space utilization.

    This is nice. I wonder though. Do you make a variant that supports SSI-EEB server boards? That would be a game changer. If you don't have this particular line, do you have ANY options for SSI-EEB?

    I know this would depend on the configuration. But if a 240mm radiator is installed in the front, would there possibly be enough space to apply a push/pull method with fans on both sides of it? Would that be an incorrect way of using it or actually beneficial? Also, when the chassis is locked closed in the front, is the design all made with mesh holes so that the front fans can grab from the exterior air?

    Can you confirm which rails you can use with this ? The RMS06-22 kit listed on the product page when you go to the retailers sites don't list this case being one of them ?

    FT05 is still the GREATEST Case ever MADE only never available anymore, I am looking for a third fortress FT05… If the top was METAL it would of been PERFECT which it is nearly now except replace with REAL mirrors and ALL quality materials and a SOLID HEAVY Sliding TOP…. I will take it how it is even now it is still PERFECTION….. Maybe make the side a magnet to hold the top slider and RATE the "handles" as genuine Handles, new 2021 edition of SilverStone Fortress FT05? …… CEB/reatx was perfect, it is – the perfect TIDY fit!…..

    This is a killer workstation and gaming rackmount case, I'm glad I found this.. I've been looking for something like this for a LONG TIME. Great job team who pushed for something new. The only thing that would make it better imo, is going for the full 360mm radiator mount setup for even better cooling, along with some removable side-case vents (filtered) to help with airflow. (above the rail mount location) I am using a Samson SRK-12 rolling rack stand for mounting my PC's and gear into a clean small form factor. RGB is nice, but even better is keeping things quiet and out of the way.

    Do you make a case that's any shallower? These things are massive for transport. Who uses 5 1/2" bays anymore?? Everyone uses SSDs at worst or NVME for most applications. Height is fine – good GPUs are important, but you could literally cut this thing in half depth wise and still build out an incredible performing machine inside.

    Excellent case! I just ordered two. They seem to bridge the gap between server/industrial/workstation. The legacy 5.25 inch drive bays will give you max flexibility. Love how you can switch to tower mode.
