Police received reports sheds had been broken into on an allotment
Three men have been arrested on suspicion of burglary offences after a police helicopter tracked them down over the weekend. A police helicopter carried out a search over the St Neots area.
The helicopter tracked three men who reported to have broken into sheds on an allotment in Mill Lane, St Neots at around 11.15pm on Friday (January 23). Officers arrested the men.
The men, aged 36, 37, and 42, and all from Peterborough, were arrested on suspicion of attempted burglary, criminal damage and going equipped for theft. They have been released on bail until April 22.
A police spokesperson said: “Three men have been arrested following a search by the police helicopter over the weekend. The helicopter tracked three men who were reported to police as breaking into sheds on an allotment in Mill Lane, St Neots, at about 11.15pm on Friday, January 23.
“The men aged 36, 37, and 42 from Peterborough were arrested on suspicion of attempted burglary, criminal damage and going equipped for theft. They have been bailed until April 22.”
