Temperatures will fall below freezing overnight with ice expected to form
A 10-hour ice warning has been issued for all of Cambridgeshire. The Met Office has issued a yellow weather warning for the county tomorrow (Wednesday, January 28).
This is set to be in place from midnight until 10am. The Met Office warns it could lead to “some disruption” through the morning.
A Met Office spokesperson said: “Clearing skies Tuesday (January 27) night will allow temperatures to fall below freezing soon after midnight and on Wednesday morning. After the recent wet weather, icy patches are likely to develop on some untreated surfaces.”
People are warned to leave earlier than normal and if they need to make journeys on foot, to use pavements along main roads. People have also been advised to give themselves the “best chance” by checking road conditions if driving or travelling by bus or train.
