Full list of 21 bars disappearing from UK’s high street as major chain collapses with over 500 jobs lost
A MAJOR bar chain has announced it is shutting 21 venues across the UK and axing over 500 jobs.
Some of the establishments have been open for 30 years, but the group of bars has fallen into administration.
Over 20 Revolution and Revolution de Cuba bars will shut their doors for good in towns and cities across the country.
The Revel Collective – which runs venues under the Revolucion de Cuba and Peach Pubs brands – put itself on the market in October.
The company has been struggling for years, and has blamed the pandemic, younger customers drinking less and Government Budget changes for declining footfall.
FTI Consulting have been brought in as administrators for the pub and bar operator, and they agreed a pair of deals which will secure the future of 41 sites and 1,582 jobs.

FTI have also confirmed that 14 Revolution Bars venues, six Revolucion de Cuba sites and one pub under its Peach Pubs division, will close with immediate effect.
This includes Manchester’s Oxford Road Revolution, which was the first to open in 1996. By 2000, the company had established 21 bars, including three in London.
The closures are resulting in 591 redundancies.

The Almanack pub in Kenilworth, operated by Peach Pubs, is also set to close.
The Revolution and Revolucion de Cuba brands and assets have been bought by Neos Hospitality Group, which runs the Barbara’s Bier Haus and Bonnie Rogues brands.
Meanwhile, the remaining Peach Pubs business has been bought by newly-formed group Coral Pub Company.
Revolution Bars was also forced to close 36 sites last year after the High Court approved a restructuring plan for the business.
A spokesperson for NEOS Hospitality said: “NEOS Hospitality has doubled the size of its estate after acquiring Revolution Bars Group and Revolución de Cuba via pre-pack administration in a rescue deal that will see NEOS acquire 20 bars, safeguarding over 800 jobs.”
