Manchester United are now reportedly considering a shock move to sign an alternative Chelsea attacker to Cole Palmer, who has been deemed untouchable at Stamford Bridge.

Rosenior: Palmer move “unrealistic”

The Red Devils have certainly been feeling bold lately, having defeated Manchester City and then champions-elect Arsenal in their first two games under interim boss Michael Carrick. And that could translate to their transfer plans ahead of the summer window.

Whilst this month has been quiet, recent reports have indicated that INEOS could be ready to spend big once again when the current campaign comes to an end. Some have even name-dropped Palmer.

Reports have claimed that the former Man City star has become home-sick in London, leaving those at Old Trafford to take full advantage. Chelsea boss Liam Rosenior has since shut those rumours down, however, telling reporters that his star man is untouchable.

Rosenior said: “There’s no reason for assurance. It’s so unrealistic. It’s come from nowhere. There’s nothing in it. There’s no reason to have the conversation. That’s where I’m at.

“Cole is very happy. I’ve had numerous conversations with him. Our thoughts are on how we can make this team better, how he can improve and how I can help him.

Manchester United have identified one player who could emulate Bruno Fernandes at Old Trafford.

“He loves being here and he wants to be a Chelsea player. You can’t stop speculation, but some speculation is so far from the truth. There’s no point in having a discussion about it.”

But Palmer is not the only Chelsea attacker that Man United have on their radar. INEOS are also reportedly eyeing a move to sign one of the most promising stars in West London.

Man Utd considering Tyrique George move

As reported by the Daily Mail, Man United are now considering a move to sign Tyrique George from Chelsea instead of Palmer. He is a name that INEOS reportedly appreciate and he will be allowed to leave Stamford Bridge this year after struggling for game time.

It wouldn’t be the first time that Man United have signed a young player from a Premier League rival. They’ve already welcomed the likes of Ayden Heaven from Arsenal, who has shown plenty of promise at Old Trafford.

Now, they could hand George the opportunity that he’s not currently receiving in West London – getting one over on Chelsea in the process.

Praised for his “fantastic” form by talent scout Jacek Kulig back in November, the 19-year-old is still so full of potential. He just needs the chance to prove it at first-team level.
