Police are appealing for a man to come forward in connection with an alleged assault in Cardiff
- In the early hours of the morning on Saturday, September 2, 2025, a 27-year-old man was assaulted, according to the force. The incident took place between St John Street and Queen Street in Cardiff.
- CCTV images have been enhanced by South Wales Police in order to identify a male they believe could be from the Ystrad Mynach area of Caerphilly, and whom they would like to speak to in connection with the incident.
- A spokesperson for South Wales Police said: “We need to speak to this male in connection with an assault in Cardiff city centre. Efforts are being made to enhance the CCTV for a clearer image, but we are hoping someone will recognise him.
- “Most of the time we rely on CCTV images from private premises or properties so we can’t determine the quality of the image, but we follow up as many investigative options as possible.
- “A 27-year-old man was assaulted between St John Street and Queen Street during the early hours of September 7, 2025. It is believed the suspect may be from the Ystrad Mynach area of Caerphilly.
- “The individual or anyone with information is asked to please contact us, quoting 2500288643.”
