10 Fantasy Movies That Will Keep You Hooked From Start to Finish
A movie can have kingdoms, prophecies, monsters, curses, gods, ghosts, impossible landscapes, swords, spells, and lore stacked to the ceiling, and none of it matters if the story ever starts pausing to show off instead of pulling you forward. The best fantasy movies never make that mistake. They understand that wonder is strongest when it is attached to movement.
That is why the Lord of the Rings franchise or Harry Potter franchise became what they did. And those are the kind of movies this list is about. Not just the best fantasy movies in some broad museum sense. I mean the ones that grab hold early and keep tightening.
10
‘Stardust’ (2007)
I will always go to bat for Stardust because it understands something a lot of fantasy forgets: charm is not softness. Charm can be propulsion. This movie moves because it keeps turning every fairy-tale idea into a story problem with actual momentum behind it. Tristan (Charlie Cox) goes searching for a fallen star for the dumbest, most human reason possible: romantic humiliation and the need to prove himself. That is a great start. Then the movie makes the star a woman, gives her opinions, puts witches after her, puts dead royal sons in the sidelines mocking everything, and suddenly the whole thing has comic velocity.
That is why it stays so watchable. Yvaine (Claire Danes) keeps changing the emotional center of the story because once Tristan starts actually knowing her, the original goal becomes embarrassing. Lamia (Michelle Pfeiffer), meanwhile, comes in with exactly the right amount of wicked glamour. Every time the witches get involved, the movie sharpens. And then Captain Shakespeare (Robert De Niro) shows up and the film somehow gets even more lovable without losing pace. Stardust works because every fantasy element is there to complicate love, survival, identity, or succession. Nothing just sits there looking whimsical.

‘The Northman’ (2022)
This movie hooks because it does not flirt with myth. It commits to it at full intensity. From the opening, The Northman tells you that this is not going to be one of those fantasy-adjacent epics where revenge sits politely in the background while the movie arranges prestige imagery around it. And then, what makes it work from start to finish is that revenge never becomes abstract. The movie keeps dragging it through new emotional terrain.
First there is the boy seeing his father die and his mother taken. Then there is the years-later transformation into a man who has built his entire identity around returning to that moment and answering it with blood. Then the film starts complicating him. Amleth (Alexander SkarsgÄrd) is shaped by murder, exile, prophecy, and a vow so absolute. Olga (Anya Taylor-Joy) changes the energy. The farm changes the energy. The truth about his mother changes everything because revenge stops being a clear inheritance story and becomes something much nastier. Suddenly Amleth is not just avenging purity and gets caught in a lineage of corruption, appetite, and violence that predates him.
8
‘Panâs Labyrinth’ (2006)
Panâs Labyrinth follows Ofelia (Ivana Baquero) moving through tasks, creatures, and riddles while fascist violence is sitting in the next room, at the dinner table, in the forest, in the face of Captain Vidal (Sergi LĂłpez). Every fantasy beat matters more because it is positioned against cruelty that is painfully human. What makes the movie impossible to shake is that the real-world thread stays just as gripping. Vidal, just like most monsters of fantasy, does not belong to fantasy at all. He belongs to power, patriarchy, and fascism in their ugliest plain form. The film keeps cutting between worlds and both worlds keep tightening. That is why it never lets go.
And it never loses that grip. The toad sequence is strange and gross and immediately tells you this underworld runs on rules, not soft dream logic. Then the Pale Man scene arrives and basically brands itself into your brain forever. Ofelia is such a strong center too because she behaves like a child with imagination, fear, and will. You believe that she wants to be brave and also that she is terrified.
7
‘The Green Knight’ (2021)
I love this movie because it hooks by refusing to explain away its strangeness. It starts with a challenge that sounds simple enough. Gawain (Dev Patel) takes the Green Knightâs blow and must seek him out a year later to receive one in return and then lets that promise haunt everything afterward. The genius of the movie is that it keeps turning the journey into a test not just of bravery, but of self-concept.
Who does Gawain think he is? Who is he pretending to be? What part of knighthood is courage and what part is theater?
That question gives every episode on the road weight. The scavengers matter. The ghost matters. The lordâs castle matters. The sash matters. The giants matter. None of it feels like random fantasy decoration because every encounter presses on Gawainâs insecurity from a different angle.
6
‘The Princess Bride’ (1987)
Almost 40 years later, The Princess Bride still keeps people hooked. The movie circles the fact that sincerity and wit can be romantic, funny, dangerous, ridiculous, and surprisingly moving without ever feeling unstable. The setup is perfect. Buttercup (Robin Wright) and Westley (Cary Elwes) fall in love in the most storybook way possible, Westley disappears, Buttercup is pushed toward a political marriage, and then suddenly the film becomes a kidnapping tale, a sword-fight comedy, a revenge story, a miracle story, and a fairy tale that keeps one-upping itself without losing shape.
Every character helps. Inigoâs (Mandy Patinkin) cleanest emotional motor with his six fingers makes every scene with him gain force. Fezzik (AndrĂ© the Giant) adds warmth. Vizzini (Wallace Shawn) adds manic comic pressure. Humperdinck (Chris Sarandon) keeps the stakes mean. Miracle Max (Billy Crystal) shows up late and somehow the movie gets bigger without getting baggier. That is hard to do. And the reason this works on almost everyone is that the movie never acts above its own pleasure. It wants you delighted. It wants you invested. It wants you laughing and then suddenly surprisingly touched. That confidence is what makes the whole thing fly.
5
‘Crouching Tiger, Hidden Dragon’ (2000)
Crouching Tiger, Hidden Dragon hooks with longing. Not vague beauty. Longing. The first theft of the Green Destiny opens a whole chain of desire, discipline, resentment, and fate that keeps tightening until the movie becomes emotionally unstoppable. You have Li Mu Bai (Chow Yun-fat) carrying years of restraint. You have Shu Lien (Michelle Yeoh) carrying those same years from the other side. You have Jen (Zhang Ziyi) exploding into the story with talent, arrogance, hunger, and the refusal to accept the cage her life is supposed to become.
That triangle of emotional energy is why every action scene matters. The fights are gorgeous, yes, but they are never empty grace notes. Jenâs rooftop flight is thrilling as she is showing off power she has not emotionally earned control over yet. Her duel with Shu Lien is thrilling because it is basically discipline and fury arguing with weapons. The desert flashback with Lo (Chang Chen) changes the whole movie because suddenly Jen is no longer just reckless disruption. You understand the appetite underneath her rebellion. And then the ending comes and the movie leaves you with that ache only great fantasy can deliver: the feeling that beauty, freedom, and tragedy were all braided together from the beginning.
4
‘Spirited Away’ (2001)
Spirited Away grabs hold the second Chihiro (Rumi Hiiragi) enters a world that is operating on rules she does not understand and adults around her are already being punished for greed and stupidity. That is a perfect fantasy hook. Even viewers donât understand or can expect what would happen next. And what makes it great is that the film keeps deepening rather than simply escalating. Every new element pulls you further in. Haku (Miyu Irino). Yubaba (Mari Natsuki). The bathhouse. No-Face. The stink spirit. The train ride. Kamaji. Zeniba. The reason the movie never loosens its hold is that each of those things changes Chihiro. She is constantly working, adapting, observing, and becoming a person with more steadiness than the frightened child we met at the start. That growth gives the fantasy world emotional structure.
And what I love most is that the movie never behaves as though mystery needs to be solved into flatness. The world stays strange. Spirits arrive with their own textures and moods. The train sequence is one of the most hypnotic passages in fantasy because it slows down without losing grip at all. You are still locked in. Maybe even more than before.
3
‘The Fellowship of the Ring’ (2001)
The Fellowship of the Ring hooks because it gets the order of things exactly right. First it makes the Shire feel worth loving. Then it threatens it. That is why everything after works. Frodo (Elijah Wood) is asked to carry a ring that immediately begins bending the atmosphere around him. And then once the journey starts, the film just keeps feeding you reasons to stay in. Bree, Weathertop, Rivendell, Moria, LothlĂłrien, Amon Hen â every stop changes the emotional shape of the story.
The Fellowship itself is the key. Aragorn (Viggo Mortensen), Legolas (Orlando Bloom), Gimli (John Rhys-Davies), Boromir (Sean Bean), Gandalf (Ian McKellen), Merry (Dominic Monaghan), Pippin (Billy Boyd), Sam (Sean Astin), the film keeps making the group dynamic richer, so when danger comes you are not just responding to spectacle. You are responding to people whose strengths, weaknesses, loyalties, and temptations matter. Boromir is a huge part of why the movie has so much pull late. His weakness is not random. The ring has been pressing on exactly the wound he carries, and when he breaks and then tries to answer that failure with courage, the film suddenly becomes devastating. That is why The Fellowship of the Ring is not just great setup but a full-blown emotional journey with its own heartbreak. And itâs only the beginning of a trilogy and then prequels.
2
‘Mad Max: Fury Road’ (2015)
Yes, it belongs here. Mad Max: Fury Road is a fantasy by force of world, myth, and pure invented reality, and it hooks harder than almost anything. This movie is basically one long chase. Every stretch of movement introduces a new problem, a new emotional pressure, or a new visual idea. It is perhaps the best revival of a franchise in the past two decades. One of the reasons it stays addictive is its characters and on top of which are Furiosa (Charlize Theron) and Max (Tom Hardy).
Once you understand what Furiosa is trying to do, not just flee, but take these women out of a life of ownership and rape and turn escape into possibility, the movie gains a heart hot enough to power all the spectacle. Max, on the other hand, gets dragged into purpose rather than striding nobly toward it. That reluctance helps. It lets Furiosa become the filmâs blazing center. You have to watch it to know what it does.
1
‘Pirates of the Caribbean: The Curse of the Black Pearl’ (2003)
This is number one because it may be the most entertaining fantasy movie of the modern blockbuster era, full stop. It hooks immediately because it starts with atmosphere and mystery the right way: the ship in the fog, the child, the gold medallion, the pirate song hanging in the air before we even fully understand what it means. Then it grows outward with ridiculous confidence. Will (Orlando Bloom) wants Elizabeth (Keira Knightley). Elizabeth wants more than the life she is boxed into. Jack Sparrow (Johnny Depp) enters the frame already operating like he belongs to a better, weirder movie than everyone else and then the film brilliantly becomes his movie without ever losing the others.
That balance is why it never slips. Jack is funny, yes, but he is also slippery in a plot-driving way. Every alliance with him is unstable. Every scene gets better because he is always trying to tilt it. Barbossa (Geoffrey Rush) is the perfect villain. And then there is the pure propulsion of it. Port Royal, Tortuga, the Black Pearl, the island, the mutiny history, the underwater walk, the final duel â the film just keeps delivering without that sag so many blockbusters get after the midpoint. It understands exactly when to give you romance, when to give you comedy, when to reveal the supernatural hand, and when to let a characterâs choice matter more than the spectacle around it.

10 Greatest Action Movies That Are Pure Cinema, Ranked
Action movies are a dime a dozen. Most of the time, audiences aren’t asking for a lot. Like horror fans with a predictable slasher, action junkies are usually happy if a movie gives them plenty of thrilling fight scenes, suspenseful car chases, and a few gun fights and cool one-liners thrown in. Actors like Steven Seagal and Chuck Norris built very successful careers this way, even though many of their films weren’t all that great.
When done well though, action can transcend the tropes and do so much more because the genre has so few limitations. In these worlds, whatever you can think of is possible. The Fast and Furious franchise recognized this. But then there are those action masterpieces that are something more, becoming a stunning visual work of art on the big screen. These 10 action movies will make your jaw drop.
10
‘Sicario’ (2015)
Sicario is the product of two current Hollywood heavyweights. Directed by Denis Villeneuve from a script by Taylor Sheridan, the film follows FBI agent Katie Macer (Emily Blunt) as she joins a government task force to take down a drug cartel. Sicario isn’t a simple action flick with good guys and bad guys, because the more Kate gets involved, the more she sees that those show works for aren’t so trustworthy.
With Blade Runner 2029 and the Dune films, Villeneuve is regarded as a visionary. He’s treated his movies like art since the very beginning and Sicario is no different. Famed cinematographer Roger Deakins was hired to shoot the director’s seventh film. Instead of using chaotic camerawork to match the chaotic plot, Deakins pulls back and stays steady, putting the audience with the characters and letting them and the stunning visuals tell the story. His efforts resulted in a Best Cinematography nomination at the Academy Awards.
9
‘Die Hard’ (1988)
It’s not hyperbole to say that John McTiernan‘s Die Hard might be the greatest and most famous action movie of all-time. Coming out in the late 80s, it could have been just another over-the-top shoot ’em up, but casting Bruce Willis, in the era of Arnold Schwarzenegger and Sylvester Stallone, to play the iconic John McClane added a touch of realism. In the film, McClane is a New York cop separated from his wife who must now save her when a group of terrorists led by Hans Gruber (Alan Rickman) takes over a Christmas party at L.A.’s Nakatomi Plaza.
Die Hard does have the tropes of 80s action, including a badass catchphrase, but what puts it among the greats is its cinematic flare. Most of the plot takes place indoors in the same building, and it’s never suffocating. Cinematographer Jan de Bont, who would later go on to direct Speed and Twister, creates unforgettable imagery. Bruce Willis, lit by the flame of a lighter in an air duct, is a perfect shot. So is the third act slow-motion leap from the top of Nakatomi Plaza, explosions going off in the background. Every scene makes full use of its limited space.
8
‘The Dark Knight’ (2008)
Three years after Batman Begins, Christopher Nolan returned with The Dark Knight. As good as the first film was, the follow-up took things to a different level. Christian Bale was back as Bruce Wayne, this time going up against his most well known enemy, the Joker. It can’t be understated what Heath Ledger brought to the Oscar-winning role, but none of it would have mattered if everything around them didn’t work so well.
The Dark Knight also received Academy Award nominations for Art Direction, Visual Effects, and Cinematography, winning for Best Sound Editing. IMAX cameras made the film feel larger than life, while realistic blue and green hues brought it down to Earth with a real-world look not interested in the bright colors of the superhero genre. The Joker is especially framed perfectly in everything from the opening bank reveal of Ledger removing his mask, to the finale, where the camera twists and turns to show an upside-down Joker right side up.
7
‘Raiders of the Lost Ark’ (1981)
If anyone knows how to make a movie pure cinema, it’s Steven Spielberg. By 1981, he’d already proven it several times over with movies like Jaws. Then, pairing up with George Lucas, he created a modern action classic with Raiders of the Lost Ark, the first entry in the Indiana Jones franchise. Harrison Ford‘s dry humor adds so much to the character as the adventurer sets out on a journey to get to the Ark of the Covenant before the Nazis can.
Raiders of the Lost Ark is a fun epic built for the big screen. The settings are dazzling and John Williams‘ bombastic score is known by all. At the 1982 Oscars, the film won five trophies, including for Best Sound and Best Visual Effects. It’s a shame that cinematographer Douglas Slocombe didn’t win one too. He brought the elements to cohesion with skilled lighting techniques and lingering tracking shots. From the brilliant opening scene onward, Raiders of the Lost Ark showed audiences what they had to look forward to for the next decade.
6
‘Terminator 2: Judgment Day’ (1991)
James Cameron‘s The Terminator is a mixture of horror and sci-fi, with a killer cyborg on the hunt for Sarah Connor (Linda Hamilton), the future mother of the human resistance. Just like he did with Aliens, following Ridley Scott‘s Alien, everything about Terminator 2: Judgment Day is bigger and better. Now, the Terminator (Arnold Schwarzenegger) is the badass good guy, and he’s tasked with protecting Sarah’s preteen son, John (Edward Furlong). With such a big plot, Cameron goes all in.
Terminator 2: Judgment Day is near the top of every list for the best action movie ever made. The CGI effects are revolutionary and a supplement to a non-stop plot with one big set piece after another. The semi vs motorcycle chase scene is shot with precision by cinematographer Adam Greenberg. Another chase scene, where Robert’s Patrick T-1000’s chases after the heroes in a helicopter that swoops under bridges, is stunning in its impossibility. It won four Oscars and flipped the script on what action was capable of doing.
5
‘Seven Samurai’ (1954)
Akira Kurosawa is a filmmaking legend responsible for such classics as Rashomon and Ikiru. Seven Samurai, however, is his masterpiece. You want cinematic? How about an action film that’s 207 minutes long?! When news spreads that bandits are planning to invade a small town, the residents are desperate for help. This leads them to the seven samurai who can protect them.
That’s a too easy synopsis for such a giant movie. Kurosawa nails it with the execution. He takes his time, establishing his characters first and letting the suspense build. When the action reaches a crescendo in an all-out climax, the director has the viewer on the edge of their seat with his multi-camera fight scenes and sweeping shots. Kurosawa’s directing style influenced everything from the American westerns that came after to more modern action films.
4
‘The Raid: Redemption’ (2011)
Written and directed by Gareth Evans, the Indonesian action film The Raid: Redemption is remembered for its innovations. It stars Iko Uwais as Rama, a rookie cop who is one of the only members of his team left alive when they’re gunned down during a raid on a drug lord’s territory. He and a few others are in a fight to death in one violent gun battle after another all the way to the stunning finale.
The Raid: Redemption is absolutely brutal in its violence. It’s like a non-stop video game where a new bad guy is around every turn for our hero to deal with. It does it all in quarters tighter than what Die Hard had to deal with. Despite its intense pace, Gareth does not give into the usual 21st century shaky cam tropes. He focuses on the action, letting it play out like a twisted painting leaping off the screen.
3
‘John Wick’ (2014)
You can take your pick about which movie from this franchise to put on the list. All of them are action perfection, but we’ll go with the 2014 original John Wick. Directed by former stuntman Chad Stahelski, Keanu Reeves stars as the titular character, a hitman looking for a way out. He only wants to grieve for his dead wife, but one day, thugs break in and kill the puppy his wife had left him. Pushed to the brink, Wick fights back and slaughters everyone in his path.
John Wick is like a samurai movie with guns in place of swords. It’s not about easy point and shoot gun fights. Stahelski delivers highly-stylized and choreographed fight scenes in front of dark, slick colors. The fact that it was made by a man who once made stunts his livelihood shows. The plot is thin, but it more than makes up for it with its unrelenting mayhem. Keanu Reeves’ performance in the chaos resurrected a lagging career and made him one of the most famous actors on the planet all over again.
2
‘The Matrix’ (1999)
Before John Wick, there was The Matrix. It defined pop culture and science fiction in 1999. Written by the Wachowskis, Keanu Reeves is a computer programmer named Neo who discovers that the world he’s living in is a simulation. Now he helps lead a revolution to break free with the likes of Morpheus (Laurence Fishburne) and Trinity (Carrie-Anne Moss) as they battle the Agent Smiths (Hugo Weaving) programmed to stop them from getting out.
The cinematography, led by Bill Pope, in The Matrix was legendary at the end of the 20th century and has been copied often. The film won four much deserved Oscars for Best Film Editing, Sound, Sound Effects Editing, and Visual Effects. Perhaps most impressive of all is what is called “Bullet Time”, which allowed multiple cameras to film the same scene from different angles, which made the viewer feel like they were witnessing the camera swoop in through a still shot.
1
‘Mad Max: Fury Road’ (2015)
Several entries on this list were so good that they launched a franchise. Then there’s Mad Max: Fury Road, the fourth movie in George Miller‘s sweeping epic and the first without Mel Gibson. Now played by Tom Hardy, the post-apocalyptic sees Max mostly playing second fiddle to Charlize Theron‘s Furiosa, a War Rig driver who has decided to fight back and save her people.
The original trilogy was highly regarded, but no one was prepared for Fury Road put on the screen. It’s an action movie pushed to the limits in every technical aspect. The sweeping desert setting is amazing to look at, the score will make you sweat, and the characters are perfect over-the-top zaniness. What really sets this one apart, though, is how hard it pushes. Once it gets going, it doesn’t slow down, with one spectacularly wild scene after another. Nothing has been able to compare to it since.

Young and the Restless Next Week: Cane & Matt Both Arrested in Shocker!
Young and the Restless brings some wild new spoilers for next week, including Patty Williams (Stacy Haiduk) bizarre run-in with Matt Clark (Sean Dominic) that has some sparks flying. Weâve also got Phyllis Summersâ (Michelle Stafford) big move and Adam Newman (Mark Grossman) hurling accusations at Nick Newman (Joshua Morrow).
Nick Tells Victoria About His Drug Addiction
So, first of all, letâs talk about Nick and Adam Newman. So, at the end of this week, Nick was up at the GCAC to meet Victoria Newman (Amelia Heinle). But when Christian Newman, you know, that kid of his we never see or hear about, actually calls Nick, maybe to say, âHey, Dad, when are you coming home?â Um, he kind of turns around to take the call and thatâs how he misses seeing that Matt Clark is at the GCAC and the guy walks right by. So after that, Nick goes to sit with his sister Victoria and sheâs got questions about exactly what happened in Vegas. Because nobody has really given her a lot of details.
So Nick fills in Victoria about Adam and Rizza Thomas (Tina Casciani) and also about how Matt lured Sharon Newman (Sharon Case) and Noah Newman into basically a death trap and held them captive in the gas station garage and then tried to blow all of them up. And Nick also told Victoria they donât know if Matt is really dead. Because his body hasnât turned up. Then Nick tells Victoria that he fell into drug addiction after the car accident and surgery. And Nick tells her he got in over his head with fentanyl. He also says Matt gave him some bad fentanyl and then he overdosed. And Victoria says this isnât Nickâs fault.
Young and the Restless Spoilers: Victoria Blamers Herself
And Victoria actually blames herself for not seeing the signs and not being there for Nick, which is very sweet. And Victoria asks if Nick is sure that he wonât relapse. That is a great question. Because he really should be in inpatient rehab, but instead heâs going to meetings and Sharon recommended I donât know if it was an outpatient or an online thing, but probably not what he needs, you know.
So, the big reveal that Matt is alive and in Genoa City could push Nick back onto fentanyl. Because in next weekâs Young and the Restless spoilers, Adam confronts his brother when we see Nick looking worse for wear. Heâs all edgy. Heâs kind of rumpled and stained. So, he tells Adam, âJust spit it out.
You know, if youâre going to accuse me, just do it.â And so, he asked Nick, âAre you using again?â So given that Adam saw the symptoms when Nick was tweaking in Las Vegas, yeah, Iâd be worried that he did fall off the wagon and start using again and Adam has noticed. Because really Nickâs addiction cleared up way too fast to be believable. So a relapse seems likely.
Matt Has a Run-In with Noah
All right, letâs talk now a little more about Matt. At the end of this week, he was at the GCAC bar. He was chatting with Phyllis about being a town pariah, not knowing who he is. There was a little bit of a flirty vibe. And after narrowly avoiding a run-in with Nick, weâve got Matt up at the Chancellor Park Cafe where Audra Charles (Zuleyka Silver) sees him and calls out Mitch, the name that sheâs always called him.
So Noah happens to be nearby. Because he was chatting with Audra. And of course, Noah flips out when he sees Matt. So, as this week of episodes end, Noah charges at Matt and the guy doesnât know whatâs going on. Heâs trying to stop Noah from attacking him, saying he lost his memory. And Mattâs begging Noah to please tell me who I am. And of course, he thinks Matt is faking.
When Noah goes to grab him again, weâve got Matt punching him basically in self-defense. Because he has no idea why this is happening, and he runs off. Then Noah calls Grandpa Victor Newman (Eric Braeden) and tells him Matt is in Genoa City and sucker punched him and took off. So, by the way, it looks like Roger Howarth is sticking around. As of earlier this week, he was still filming scenes as Matt. Michelle Stafford posted a video of the two of them in hair and makeup earlier this week together. That means weâre likely going to have villainous Matt at least until early June on Y&R, which is interesting.
Matt Runs into Patty Williams
So clearly Victorâs security people are lax as always. Because next week Young and the Restless spoilers have Matt walking right into Sharonâs coffee shop. Heâs up at Crimson Lights and he runs into another lunatic town pariah, Patty Williams. And Matt gives Patty kind of a really flirty look and she gives him one back and theyâre smiling at each other. Letâs hope these two just keep walking because the idea of Matt teaming up with Patty could be a real problem for everybody in Genoa City because they are both violent psychos.
Phyllis Has Something Better In Mind
And speaking of psychos who dislike the Newmans, letâs talk about Phyllis. So, turns out the Newmans not only, you know, fed fake evidence to petty new DA Cricket, but theyâre also sabotaging Summerâs conglomerate. And Lauren Fenmore (Tracey E. Bregman) tells Phyllis that thereâs deals being scrapped. And Phyllis assumes Victorâs behind it. Lauren warns Phyllis even if she wins the court case, things could still fall apart. Because Victorâs destabilizing everything. Lauren will stick around and stay loyal, but she worries Phyllis isnât going to be able to deal with all this.

Young and the Restless Spoilers: Will Phyllis Accept Help?
So, next week, Young and the Restless spoilers have Michael Baldwin (Christian LeBlanc) hoping that Phyllis is ready to let him really help her. And Michael is hoping Phyllis will give back Newman Enterprises to Victor if the criminal charges can be dropped. But no, of course, canât be that easy. She tells Michael that she has something better in mind. So, the big question is, what in the world is Phyllis up to now? We know sheâs not going to go down. Sheâs not going to cave to Victor without a fight. I expect more dirty moves from her. And we still have to see if the arrests are done or if Billy Abbott (Jason Thompson) also winds up in handcuffs soon.
Iâm still hoping that Victor is outed for using the AI on others because he did it all first. I mean, surely Cane or Mattâs business records could prove that the AI was in there doing its thing. Honestly, Josh Griffith just got pushed out as executive producer. And if this plot ends with Victor facing no consequences, they should go ahead and fire him as head writer, too. I mean, honestly, I think Josh should be fired as head writer anyway, because heâs a mediocre, repetitive writer who loves retcons and ridiculous stuff. And the AI plot is just the latest bad thing that explains why he needs to go.
More Spoilers for Next Week
Weâre also going to see next week more of Lily Winters (Christel Khalil) getting closer to Cane Ashby (Daniel Goddard) now that he is doing all he can to save Malcolm Winters (Shemar Moore) despite his arrest. Plus, Claire Grace Newman (Hayley Erin) gets closer to Holden Novak (Nathan Owens) and theyâre going to be headed to New York City for Malcolmâs procedure.
Claireâs definitely going because Holden promised the whole truth about what went down with him and Audra and Claire cannot resist. Meanwhile, Audra keeps putting herself in Noahâs orbit, and Sienna Bacall (Tamara Braun) is not going to like that one bit. She has never been a fan of Audraâs anyway, and now with her checking out Noah, thatâs a problem.
Y&R is on fire next week, so donât miss an episode and check back for our weekly spoilers video, our weekly predictions, and lots more for the week of May 11th through the 15th.

Valerie Bertinelli Caught In Surprise Live TV Slip-Up
Valerie Bertinelli had an unexpectedly unfiltered moment on live television after accidentally dropping not one, but two explicit words during an appearance on âToday with Jenna & Sheinelle.â The actress appeared on the show on Thursday to promote her upcoming âLove, Again,â but the conversation quickly went off-script thanks to a pair of accidental slip-ups that left both Valerie Bertinelli and the hosts stunned.

The first moment happened while Bertinelli was discussing her emotionally heavy role in âLove, Again,â where she plays a caregiver supporting her husband through Alzheimerâs.
âSheâs just trying to hold it together. I just identified with her wholeheartedly,â Bertinelli explained. âWhere Iâm one of those people where no matter what Iâm going through, I will put that happy face on so I donât bring my sh-t to other, sorry. Bring my stuff to other people.â
The actress immediately realized what she had said and quickly apologized to co-hosts Jenna Bush Hager and Sheinelle Jones. âIâm so terrible. Iâm so sorry,â she said.
Bertinelli Dropped Curses Again Minutes Later
But the live TV chaos didnât stop there. Later in the interview, Bertinelli began discussing dating and independence when she accidentally let another curse word fly. âI am so independent and I can do anything I want, so leave me the f-ck alone,â she declared. âOops, thatâs a second one!â
Bush Hager quickly pointed out as Bertinelli appeared shocked by herself. âGeez Louise! Iâll never be invited back again,â the actress joked afterward. âIâm sorry! God, what is wrong with me?â
She then blamed the mishaps on getting older. âYou know what, itâs the 66-year-old disease where you just donât care what comes out of your mouth,â she explained, before once again apologizing to viewers.
âLove, Againâ Marks Valerie Bertinelliâs Return To TV Acting

The appearance came as Bertinelli gears up for the premiere of âLove, Again,â which debuts May 9. The film explores themes of grief, resilience, caregiving, and rediscovering love later in life. Ahead of the movieâs release, Bertinelli also shared a heartfelt Instagram post revealing how deeply the project affected her while filming.
âThis is the first time I have not regretted an all-nighter and instead welcomed it and everything that went into it,â she wrote. âThe gorgeous sunrise and the bird song was the gift at the end of a challenging, yet productive, 14 hour day.â She also praised writer Nancy Silvers for creating what she called a âraw, beautiful and heartbreakingâ script.
It marks Bertinelliâs first major scripted television role in more than a decade following the end of âHot in Cleveland,â where she starred alongside Betty White, Jane Leeves, and Wendie Malick from 2010 through 2015.
Valerie Bertinelli Says She Hasnât Experienced âIntimate Loveâ In Over A Decade

During the interview, Bertinelli also opened up about her personal life and admitted that while sheâs surrounded by love, she still misses having a true romantic partner. After co-host Jenna Bush Hager asked whether her new movie inspired her to think about love again following her split from Tom Vitale in 2022 and the loss of ex-husband Eddie Van Halen in 2020, Bertinelli reflected candidly on where she currently stands emotionally.
âI have such exquisite love in my life. I have my animals. I have my girlfriends. I have my son and his beautiful wife. I have my brothers. I have my family. I have beautiful love in my life,â she shared. âBut thereâs something about intimate love, and I write about it in my book,â she continued, referencing her memoir âGetting Naked: The Quiet Work of Becoming Perfectly Imperfect.â âThereâs something about an intimate love with a partner, and I havenât had a partner in over a decade at least.â
The actress explained that although she values her independence, thereâs still part of her that misses having a true companion. âI do miss that,â she admitted. âBut then thereâs another part of this, like, I am so independent and I can do everything on my own.â
Valerie Bertinelli Reflects On Love, Divorce, And What She Still Wants In A Partner

Bertinelli has also been increasingly honest about her complicated relationship history and what sheâs still searching for emotionally. The actress was married to legendary guitarist Eddie Van Halen from 1981 until 2007, and the former couple shares a son, Wolfgang Van Halen. She later married Tom Vitale in 2011 before the pair split in 2022. Following that divorce, Bertinelli confirmed she was dating writer Mike Goodnough in April 2024, though the relationship reportedly ended later that same year.
During a recent conversation with PEOPLE, Bertinelli admitted the end of both marriages left her struggling with feelings of failure. âTwo divorces behind me, I felt like a failure,â she shared. âI didnât know what love actually meant, really, real true (love).â
While reflecting on her marriage to Van Halen, Bertinelli revealed he came the closest to giving her that feeling. âEd and I had it for glimpses, but I really never really experienced it for any length of time. And I still havenât,â she admitted. âYou know, Ed was the closest Iâve ever come to feeling true true love.â
The actress also explained that emotional safety has become one of the most important qualities she looks for in a relationship. âI want someone to feel emotionally safe with me, like they can open up and be vulnerable with me because Iâll protect that and I want to feel protected,â she said. âAnd I havenât experienced that either where my vulnerability has been respected and held on to.â
Still, despite the heartbreak sheâs experienced over the years, Bertinelli confirmed she remains open to finding love again, though sheâs also reached a point where sheâs comfortable on her own if it never happens.

Hyper-Violent Fantasy Action Reboot Is Dominating Streaming Again
The 2021 Mortal Kombat reboot is the #1 movie streaming on HBO Max.
By Charlene Badasie
| Published

Mortal Kombat has fought its way into the top ten on the U.S. HBO Max streaming charts. The data is recorded by Flixpatrol, a site that tracks viewing data across multiple platforms worldwide. Based on the popular video game franchise created by Ed Boon and John Tobias, the 2021 movie is now streaming on HBO Max and serves as a reboot of the film series following the critical and commercial failure of Mortal Kombat: Annihilation in 1997.
Directed by Simon McQuoid from a screenplay by Greg Russo and Dave Callaham, Mortal Kombat follows a mixed martial arts fighter named Cole Young. Dealing with a failed career, he is unaware of his hidden lineage or why he is being hunted by an assassin known as Sub-Zero. Concerned for his familyâs safety, he seeks out Sonya Blade.

After speaking with a Special Forces Major named Jax, who bears the same dragon marking Cole had since birth. His journey leads him to the temple of Elder God Lord Raiden. As protector of Earthrealm, he offers sanctuary to those bearing the dragon mark. To stand with Earthâs protectors against the Outworld enemies, Cole trains with Liu Kang, Kung Lao, and Kano as they prepare for battle.
After an intense battle, Shang Tsung vows to return with an army for the next fight. As a result, Raiden declares his intention to train new warriors for the next tournament, tasking his current champions with their recruitment. Cole leaves for Los Angeles to find Hollywood martial arts movie star Johnny Cage, setting up the story for the Mortal Kombat sequel.
The Cast Of Mortal Kombat 2021

The film stars Lewis Tan as Cole Young alongside Jessica McNamee as Sonya Blade, Josh Lawson as Kano, Mehcad Brooks as Jackson âJaxâ Briggs, Ludi Lin as Liu Kang, and Max Huang as Kung Lao. Other popular characters from the Mortal Kombat video game are also featured. This includes Tadanobu Asano as Raiden, Hiroyuki Sanada as Hanzo Hasashi/Scorpion, and Joe Taslim as Bi-Han/Sub-Zero.
The cast also showcased the talents of Sisi Stringer as Mileena, Chin Han as Shang Tsung, Matilda Kimber as Emily Young, Laura Brent as Allison Young, Mel Jarnson as Nitara, Nathan Jones as Reiko, and Daniel Nelson as Kabal. Damon Herriman and Angus Sampson lend their voices to Mortal Kombat bad guys Kabal and Goro, respectively.
Response To Mortal Kombat

Mortal Kombat was a hit with fans, grossing $84.4 million worldwide. Critics had mixed feelings about the film, which currently holds a 54% rating on review aggregator Rotten Tomatoes.
The siteâs general consensus says the film is mainly for fans of the source material, but is flawed. Audiences polled by CinemaScore gave the movie a B+ average on a scale from A to F.
Why Everyoneâs Streaming Mortal Kombat Now

The renewed interest in Mortal Kombat is being fueled by the release of Mortal Kombat II, which arrives in theaters this weekend. Directed once again by Simon McQuoid, the sequel finally centers the franchise around the actual Mortal Kombat tournament while introducing fan favorite Johnny Cage, played by Karl Urban.
The new film expands the roster significantly with the addition of Kitana, Jade, Shao Kahn, and Noob Saibot, while trailers have emphasized larger-scale fights, more recognizable game mythology, and far more elaborate fatalities. Early reactions suggest the sequel leans harder into the over-the-top tone and tournament structure that fans wanted from the 2021 reboot, positioning it as a much bigger, more crowd-pleasing adaptation of the games.

Mike Vrabel and Dianna Russini Were âCautiousâ About Photos
New England Patriots head coach Mike Vrabel and NFL reporter Dianna Russini were reportedly nervous to be seen together amid their years-long relationship.Â
Vrabel, 50, and Russini, 43, were âcautiousâ about pictures being taken during their private boat trip together in June 2021, according to TMZ Sports, who posted video of the excursion on Thursday, May 7.Â
âCoach Vrabel wanted to enjoy a private weekend,â TMZ Sports alleges the boating company was told about the trip, which came just months before Russini gave birth to her first baby with her husband, Kevin Goldschmidt.Â
Vrabel did pose for one photo with staff members, but the employees were allegedly told not to share anything publicly. Russini did not take any pictures.Â
The boating trip happened in Putnam County, Tennessee, during the 2021 NFL offseason, when Vrabel was head coach of the Tennessee Titans.Â
Vrabel has been married to his wife, Jen, since 1999 and the couple share two sons: Tyler, 25, and Carter, 24.Â
Russini and Goldschmidt welcomed their first son, Michael, in August 2021, and their second son, Joey, in October 2022.Â
Us Weekly has reached out to Vrabel and Russini for comment.Â
Vrabel and Russiniâs relationship has been a viral sensation since last month, when Page Six published photos of them together at a luxury resort in Arizona. The pictures showed the two linking hands, sharing a hot tub and sunbathing together by the pool.Â
Both Vrabel and Russini vehemently denied their relationship was romantic right after the first batch of photos was released.Â
Since then, however, multiple outlets have shared additional photographic evidence of their relationship, with Page Six publishing photos of the pair seemingly kissing at a bar in New York City in 2020.Â
Before the start of the NFL Draft last month, Vrabel announced he was briefly stepping away from the team to attend counseling.
âI promised my family, this organization and this team that I was going to give them the best version of me that I can possibly give them. In order to do so, I have committed to seeking counseling, starting this weekend,â Vrabel said in a statement to ESPN on April 22. âThis is something that I have given a lot of thought to and is something I would advise a player to do if I was counseling them.â
He continued, âI have always wanted to lead by example, and I believe this is what I have to do to be the best husband, father and coach that I possibly can be. This is not an easy thing for me to admit, but it is one that I know will make me a better person. I appreciate the support that everyone has given me and promise a stronger resolve as a result.â

‘She-Hulk’ Star Officially Weighs In on a Potential MCU Return
Some Marvel characters arrive, save the day, and then get neatly folded into the next crossover. Others leave behind a much stranger question mark. This one has not been seen in the MCU since her Disney+ debut, but the conversation around her has never exactly gone quiet. Between the fan backlash, the defenders, the meta finale, the budget chatter, and the lingering possibility of a future crossover, it has always felt like a return was possible, even if nobody seemed entirely sure what shape it would take.
Tatiana Maslany (Orphan Black, Perry Mason) has now weighed in on a potential return as Jennifer Walters, aka She-Hulk, and her answer makes it clear that she would not want the character simply dropped into a random Marvel crossover without the right creative voice behind it. Speaking on The Playlistâs Bingeworthy podcast while promoting her new Apple TV series Maximum Pleasure Guaranteed, Maslany joked about the reaction to her coming back before explaining what would make a return feel right.
âI donât know. I think people would be so mad at me being on their screens again,â Maslany said. âWhat I think is so special about the character is Jessica Gaoâs writing and the tone that she brought to the show. I think if She-Hulk were to be in an ensemble, that tone has to be honored.â
Maslany expanded on that idea, saying any future MCU appearance would need someone who really understands Jennifer Waltersâ voice, especially if Marvel wants to move her into a bigger ensemble setting. Marvel TV boss Brad Winderbaum recently pushed back against the idea that the show was a failure, saying it was one of Marvelâs best-performing Disney+ series and reached a broader general audience despite the negative online response. He also said he would âlove to make more,â though Marvel has not officially announced a second season.
âYeah. I mean, I donât know,â Maslany said. âI think it would take somebody like Jessica Gao to weave her into that world because she knows that character so deeply and loves her and gets her tone, but there is something about She-Hulk being the star of her own show that makes sense. Do you know what I mean? Because of the direct address, she is our narrator. So, I think it would be a real cool challenge to see her in some other context, but I do think like the sort of joy of She-Hulk is in the singularness of it.â
Who Stars in ‘She-Hulk’?
âââââââ
The cast of She-Hulk: Attorney at Law includes Maslany as Jennifer Walters/She-Hulk, Mark Ruffalo (Spotlight, Poor Things) as Bruce Banner/Smart Hulk, Jameela Jamil (The Good Place, Marry Me) as Titania, Ginger Gonzaga (Kidding, True Lies) as Nikki Ramos, Josh Segarra (Scream VI, Arrow) as Augustus âPugâ Pugliese, RenĂ©e Elise Goldsberry (Hamilton, Girls5eva) as Mallory Book, Tim Rothâââââââ (Reservoir Dogs, The Incredible Hulk) as Emil Blonsky/Abomination, and Charlie Cox (Daredevil, Kin) as Matt Murdock/Daredevil.

General Hospital: Ninaâs Costly Error Frees Drew â Major Twist Ahead!
General Hospital just saw Nina Reeves (Cynthia Watros) make a real doozy of a mistake when she got distracted and didnât give Drew Cain (Cameron Mathison) the injection that keeps him paralyzed and locked in. Unless she notices and circles back around to give him the shot, this could change everything.
So, weâre going to talk about how Nina getting distracted could give Drew the advantage he needs over Willow Corinthos (Katelyn MacMullen) to regain his freedom. Ninaâs little oopsie could cost Willow everything.
Nina Gets Distracted While Babysitting Drew
All right. So, this week we saw Nina over at Willow and Drewâs place. Sheâs over there all the time. Because again, Willow asked Nina to babysit Drew while she takes care of some congressional work. And Willow told Nina about her deal with Jack Brennan (Chris McKenna) to get more funding for the WSB.
General Hospital: Willow Fills Nina in on her Evil Plan
Willow said that she was doing that in exchange for Jack getting her leverage to use against Drew so he canât retaliate against her for the shooting or paralyzing him. And Willow told Nina that if Jack doesnât do what she wants that she promised she would make sure to cut funding to the WSB. Now Nina thinks this is a bad idea and sheâs playing with fire, but of course Willow doesnât.
So, sheâs got calls to make so that she can abuse her congressional power for her own benefit, you know, like Drew used to do. And Willow asks Nina to babysit Drew and move him into the bedroom to keep Kai Taylor (Jens Austin Astrup) away from Drew. And then Nina asked Willow, shouldnât she just fire Kai.
Because he knows Willow shot Drew? This was not a great conversation to have in front of Willowâs locked-in hubby. Because Drew just got critical info he didnât have before because now he knows that Kai knows the truth about Willow shooting him. So heâs the perfect person to try and communicate with.
Willowâs Watching Kai Like a Hawk
So Willow then told Nina that she wants to keep Kai close to keep an eye on him, a keep your enemies close thing. And Nina compared those tactics to mob boss Sonny Corinthos (Maurice Benard), which is kind of interesting. So Kai showed up to drop something off. He asked to see Drew, but Willow lied and said Drew was taking a nap. And then before Willow bailed on her mom, she told Nina, âBe sure to give Drew his next paralytic injection.â
So once they were alone, Nina got the shot ready and apologized to Drew for drugging him, but said, you know, she has to support Willow. Thatâs when things started going off the rails. Because Nina got distracted by a phone call and she put the syringe down and it was Valentin Cassadine (James Patrick Stuart) calling to say he had a job for her.
Ninaâs Mistake Could Blow Up Willowâs Plan
Now, Iâm sure this is something to do with trying to find out what happened to Josslyn Jacks (Eden McCoy), you know, so that Carly Spencer (Laura Wright) doesnât go berserk with worry. Because they both suspect that Jack might have been involved. So, Nina made a huge mistake by not giving Drew his shot.
And since Valentin is likely going to urge Nina to do what he wants ASAP, I donât think that she will remember to give Drew the shot, you know, weâll see. But if she doesnât, this mistake of Ninaâs could blow up Willowâs plan, blow up her whole life, honestly, because missing his scheduled injection could help Drew function just enough to get a message to somebody.
So, while I doubt Nina forgetting the shot will be a miracle cure, it could be a game changer. I donât expect Drew to just stand up and walk off if his shot is a couple of hours late, especially because heâs been drugged and locked in for several months. He shouldnât be able to walk around or run off. But then again, Lulu Spencer (Alexa Havins Bruening) woke up from what a multi-year coma and then just jogged out the door. So, thereâs that to keep in mind.
Drew Will Try to Communicate with Kai
But Iâm guessing itâll be Kai that Drew tries to communicate with, seeing as Nina was just telling Willow to fire him. And Drew just found out that Kai knows that Willow is a would-be killer. And plus, Drew really likes Kai. He knows the young man is a good person. They got to be friends when he interned for Drew on General Hospital.
And while Kaiâs opinion of Drew plummeted once he found out how awful he is, Kai is still worried about Drew because Willowâs his caregiver and he knows she tried to kill her husband. Plus, knowing that Kai would do the right thing, you know, I think Drew can see right away heâs the perfect person to try to communicate with. Elizabeth would have been a good person to figure it out medically, you know, what Willow is doing to Drew, but Willow seems to have convinced Liz to back off.
How Drew Might Be Saved by Kai on General Hospital
So, letâs talk about some ways that Drew might end up being saved by Kai very soon. First, if Drew can regain the ability to speak because it seems like that, you know, speaking would come first and maybe bodily movement later. Even if he could just whisper a few words to Kai, he might be able to alert him to whatâs going on. You know, Drew could whisper, âHelp me. Willowâs drugging me.â
I think that would be enough to let Kai know that Willow is again doing a very bad thing to her husband. You know, Drew might whisper, âCall 911.â And you know, Kai could call an ambulance. And since he knows Willowâs schedule, he might be able to get an ambulance or the cops there when Willow isnât there because he knows her schedule since he works for her.
General Hospital: New Charges for Willow?
While Willow cannot, as weâve talked about before, be arrested or charged for shooting Drew because that would be double jeopardy because she already had a trial for it. She could absolutely be charged with drugging Drew, with spousal abuse, Iâm sure other charges, and that could definitely land Willow in prison and make sure she loses her kids.
Another option is that Kai might think enough is enough. And when he finds out what Willow is doing to Drew, he may just go to the cops himself and tell top cop Dante Falconeri (Dominic Zamprogna) that he knows that Willow shot Drew. You know, Kai can go ahead and confess. Okay, look, I didnât come clean before. But I was at Drewâs that night. I think he would leave, you know, his girlfriend out of it. Leave Trina Robinson (Tabyana Ali) out. And Kai could say that he heard Willowâs ringtone for Wiley when the shooter was in the house. And then Kai can also tell the cops about the drugs that Willowâs using on Drew now.

Kai Steps Up for Drew
And Kai might be willing to face whatever consequences there is for not coming forward before. I mean, they could charge him with obstruction of justice, but likely Kai wouldnât face any charges at all because heâd be coming forward to save Drew from ongoing spousal abuse at the hands of his awful wife, Willow. I also think thereâs a chance Drew could whisper to Kai that Willow drugged him and may tell Kai, âGo tell Elizabeth.â You know, since she already realized he was trying to tell her something. So, he might try a multi-pronged approach.
This Is Drewâs Big Chance to Get Help
However it goes down, this I think is Drewâs big chance to get help and get out of this locked in situation. And Kai seems like his best option. Of course, Drew also knows that Sidwellâs coming to kill him. Heâs not planning on letting him come out of this locked in state. So, thereâs a deeper urgency there. And Willow, of course, doesnât know any of that. So, I think if Nina is the reason that Drew gets out of this, Willow might be enraged. You know, she may never forgive Nina, even though itâs an honest mistake.
With May sweeps ending May 20th, next week is the last full week of sweeps. Iâve been expecting Willow to be busted and diabolical Drew saved from her during sweeps. So, things are moving along right as I expected. And the thing is, whatâs funny with this plot is most fans hate Willow. A lot of fans donât like Drew any better. So, itâs almost hard to decide who to cheer for in this scenario. All I know is Cameron Mathison has done a great job of acting using nothing but his eyeballs. Not sure if the eyeball stuff would be good for an Emmy reel, but it is impressive work.

Josh Duggar Flirts With Wife Anna in Messages From Jail
Josh Duggar sent several sexual messages to his wife, Anna Duggar, while waiting to be sentenced for his child porn arrest.
People obtained multiple conversations between the couple that took place in 2022 while Josh, 38, was in custody at the Washington County Detention Center in Arkansas following his arrest.
â[I] miss you my lover. I miss being in the shower with you scrubbing, I miss watching you try on clothes, I miss watching you being sexy,â Josh wrote to Anna, 37, before congratulating her for âmaking the scale numbers lower than expectedâ and suggesting she buy herself âsomething low cut.â
He continued: â[O]r you can try on clothes and send me a pic of you in your bra and panties đ or try on âgo to the private pool for sunâ swimsuit? Btw you should order you a 2-piece swimsuit since summer is coming on soon, get something hot and fun.â
Josh gushed about his love for his wife in the intimate message.
âI LOVE YOU FOREVER! HUGS AND KISSES ⊠AND EVERYTHING ELSE TOO! XOXOXOXOXO O: I LOVE YOU SEXY! x: :}v :}OvO,â he concluded.
In a separate message, Josh made a request of his wife, writing, âP.s. â send pics asap as requested, imlied [sic], inferred or otherwise stated lol. nice one(s) with your twos in it! (OvO).â

Josh followed that up with his response to the photos.
âP.s. â i cant [sic] wait till we can be alone again,â he added. âI miss ALL of you! what specificially [sic] are you thinking/dreaming/fantasizing about today that you miss? i miss you and me being US! tell me later? :Oâ
Days before his sentencing, Josh described to Anna âwhat we could be doing,â which included âa really awesome foot rub,â âa back rubâ or âsomething relaxing.â
âAnd then we could really have some fun ⊠once we were nice and relaxed! So many memories flooding my mind right now,â he wrote while asking for more photos of Anna. âYour sexy cleavage is amazing! Thank you for thinking of me!â
Another message included Josh sharing new details about his time behind bars.
â[W]ell, i did a lot of writing. it helped. It was inverted, both of us going. both of us being alone. Both of us enjoying our newest adventure. Both of us having fun, with only us! Both of us enjoying each other and taking things up a notch,â he wrote. âThe intensity is off the charts! You are amazing. You are fun! You are gorgeous, sexy, and beautiful â all in one! You are my precious, lovely bride. my lover. my passion. my dream girl! I am yours and thank you for being mine! I LOVE ALL OF YOU ANNA!â
Before his arrest, Josh and Anna weathered several scandals in the public eye. In 2015, it was revealed that Josh had molested multiple girls as a teenager, some of whom were his sisters. He noted in a statement at the time that he previously sought counseling for his âwrongdoings.â
âTwelve years ago, as a young teenager, I acted inexcusably for which I am extremely sorry and deeply regret,â he wrote via the familyâs Facebook account. âI hurt others, including my family and close friends.â
Months later, hackers released stolen data from the website Ashley Madison, which led to Josh admitting he was unfaithful to his wife after his account was exposed. The couple, who tied the knot in 2008, remained married and now share seven children.
Josh was arrested in 2021 and later convicted of receiving and possessing child sexual abuse materials. He is currently serving his 151-month sentence in federal prison.

YNW Melly Denied Bond Again Ahead Of Double Murder Retrial
A new development has emerged in the long-running case involving rapper YNW Melly. The Florida artist has once again been denied bond as he awaits retrial in his double murder case.

YNW Melly Denied Bond Again After Seven Years In Jail
On Wednesday, May 6, a Broward County judge denied YNW Mellyâs latest bond request, according to NBC 6 South Florida. The rapper, whose real name is Jamell Demons, will remain in custody as he awaits his retrial, scheduled for January 2027.
Demons previously sought bond in 2023 and again in 2025 after the trial ended in a mistrial. Both requests were denied.
The rapper has been behind bars for more than seven years while awaiting a final verdict in the highly publicized case. He is accused of fatally shooting two of his friends, Christopher âJuvyâ Thomas Jr. and Anthony âSakchaserâ Williams, in 2018.
His first trial concluded in July 2023 after jurors were unable to reach a unanimous verdict, prompting the judge to declare a mistrial. Prosecutors later confirmed they would move forward with a retrial. If convicted, Demons could face the death penalty.
Attorneys Address Jail Conditions Amid Bond Denial
Following the bond decision, Demonsâ attorneys, Drew Findling and Carey Haughwout, released a lengthy statement criticizing the courtâs ruling and the conditions their client has allegedly endured while incarcerated. The statement was shared Thursday on YNW Mellyâs Instagram account.
âThe Court, the State Attorneyâs Office, and all who observed this bond hearing should have been deeply troubled by the clear evidence presented regarding the inhumane conditions Mr. Demons has endured for over seven years, with the last three in solitary confinement, while presumed innocent under our Constitution,â the statement read.
The attorneys continued by arguing that the court failed to acknowledge what they described as âshocking circumstancesâ surrounding Demonsâ confinement.
âMr. Demons remains an innocent man in the eyes of the law. The State failed to secure a conviction once, and we remain confident it will fail again,â the statement continued. âUnfortunately, it now appears that only a juryâs verdict compelling his release will bring an end to the years of unnecessary and unjust punishment he has already suffered.â
