Tyson Fury and Oleksandr Usyk’s earnings from boxing match revealed after Ukrainian wins again

Tyson Fury and Oleksandr Usyk have both received millions following their boxing match in Riyadh, Saudi Arabia, on Saturday night.

It was another evening to remember for Usyk, with the 37-year-old winning via unanimous decision to make 23 victories from as many professional bouts.

As for Fury, the boxing star has been left furious – having believed he’d done enough to come out on top.

While he’s still likely frustrated on Sunday, one small silver lining is how much money he’s received – despite his failure to reign supreme.

No official purse for the bout has been confirmed.

But widespread reports say there was a huge £150million worth of prize money on the line for the clash at the Kingdom Arena.

Usyk will reportedly claim 60 per cent of that, meaning the champion will get a dizzying £90m.

And Fury, who has confessed he fights for the money in the past, will take home a cool £60m.

The figures are certainly different to the first fight between the two men, with the action unfolding in May.

Usyk won via split decision that evening, with Fury again left unhappy at the scoring from the judges.

The first clash had a smaller purse of around £116m.

And Fury took home a staggering £81m, with Usyk receiving £35m for his victory.

RIYADH REACTION: Tyson Fury ‘robbed’ as boxing fans blast judges following Oleksandr Usyk defeat

Controversy has erupted in the short time since the fight, with some fans on social media convinced Fury was robbed.

And his promoter, Frank Warren, was left baffled by the scorecards as well.

The 72-year-old told DAZN: “I’m dumbfounded, they gave him four rounds out of the 12 rounds, it’s impossible, one judge didn’t give him any round from round six onwards.

“Only four rounds. Each of them gave him four rounds, four different rounds. How can that be? It’s impossible. It’s crazy. It’s a nonsense. What fight were they watching?

“I’m not saying this because I’m biased, but everyone along the front there all thought it went the same way.

“It’s nuts. It’s nuts, I don’t get it. I’m really disappointed with that. I thought he was in control of the fight and boxed extremely well. Usyk was on the back foot for most of the fight, but it is what it is.”

On whether Fury could retire, he continued: “I don’t know. He’s very disappointed, like I am as well. It’s up to him.

“It’s too early, just after a fight. Obviously emotions are running high.

“We’ll have to wait and see what happens for Tyson in the future. He’ll have to make up his mind.”
