Meadow Walker Honors Dad Paul Walker 12 Years After His Death
Meadow Walker is honoring her dad, Paul Walker, more than one decade after his death.
“12 years without you … I love you forever,” Meadow, 27, wrote via Instagram on Sunday, November 30, marking the anniversary of her father’s untimely death.
Meadow also shared a series of throwback images featuring Paul blowing out candles beside his daughter, who could be seen sitting on the kitchen counter.
Paul died in November 2013 at age 40 after he was involved in a single-vehicle car crash in California. Meadow, whom Paul shared with ex-girlfriend Rebecca Soteros, was 15 at the time.
Through the years, Meadow has continued to honor her father’s legacy. Meadow also founded the Paul Walker Foundation, which promises to “continue to do the work that Paul started,” per the organization’s website. “We are focused on his passions and dedicated to his legacy. He is always in our hearts and we are reminded daily to do good and live life like Paul.”
In 2023, Meadow commemorated what would have been Paul’s 50th birthday.
“Happy birthday to my guardian angel,” Meadow wrote via Instagram at the time, alongside a throwback photo of her and Paul. “Thank you for your love, guidance, friendship, sunshine and for raising me to see all of the beauty in the world. You are the most kind, humble, generous and caring soul I know. You taught me at a young age to always treat everyone with respect, to do good and to take care of our planet. I love you and miss you every day.”
In a separate post at the time, Meadow shared an old photo of her and Paul from one of the Fast & Furious movies.
“One of my favorite photos of my dad from Fast,” she wrote. “Timeless and iconic.” Meadow also noted that the photo will be printed on T-shirts benefitting the Paul Walker Foundation.
Meadow has also remained close with Paul’s Fast & Furious costars, including Vin Diesel and Jordana Brewster. When Meadow tied the knot with Louis Thornton-Allan in 2021, Diesel walked her down the aisle.
“She counts Vin and his kids as family and will talk to them on days she’s struggling, and she has their backs too,” an insider told Us of Meadow in 2021. “Meadow is so proud of her dad and goes out of her way to respond to people who send letters or express their love of him and his work. She posts tributes to him on social media, keeps in touch with the people who were important in his life and generally acts on the advice he gave her whilst he was still alive.”
Three years later, Meadow called it quits with Thorton-Allan.
“Statement from the two of us: After three wonderful years of marriage, we have come to the agreement to amicably separate,” the pair wrote via a joint Instagram post in 2023. “This is truly a united decision and we sincerely hope that everyone can respect our wishes for privacy.”
The exes noted in their message that they “maintain mutual love and respect for one another,” adding that they “will continue to support each other.”
