Two men from Wakefield banned from North Yorkshire

North Yorkshire Police have arrested two men – aged 29 and 31, from the Wakefield area – after a member of the public reported suspicious activity in a Selby village.

The force say they received reports of two men behaving suspiciously in South Milford, in the early hours on Sunday (December 7) morning.

Officers set off, approaching the village along the A162, and, on enroute, spotted a Renault Kangoo van, which they pulled over – searching both the occupants and the van.

They found tools, gloves, a balaclava, and a quantity of suspected Class A drugs.

The two men, aged 29 and 31, from the Wakefield area, were arrested on suspicion of going equipped for theft and possession with intent to supply a Class A drug.

“They were taken into custody, interviewed, and bailed while the police investigation continues – with bail conditions not to re-enter North Yorkshire,” said a spokesperson for the force.
