Attack outside in Swinegate outside Oscar’s – man arrested

North Yorkshire Police say an assault happened in the early hours of Sunday (December 7) at about 4am in Swinegate outside Oscar’s.

A police spokesman said: “A man was assaulted and sustained injuries. He was taken to hospital by ambulance for treatment.

“A man has been arrested on suspicion of assault. He was interviewed and released on bail while further enquiries are carried out.

“We are particularly keen to hear from anyone who witnessed the incident or has CCTV footage from the time of the assault, or shortly beforehand.
