Mentre il Bitcoin è in caduta libera (è tornato per la prima volta in due mesi sotto ai 70k dollari) a Washington stanno decidendo il futuro di tutte le criptovalute.

La Commissione del Senato americano ha dato un primo via libera al CLARITY Act.

Ancora non è una legge definitiva, però.

Visto che deve passare il voto del Congresso e del Presidente.

Ma l’obiettivo è quello di cancellare per sempre il “Far West” delle monete digitali.

Infatti oggi le crypto vivono nell’Incertezza normativa.

Praticamente è come giocare a calcio senza sapere dove sono le linee del campo.

E quindi i grandi investitori, come le banche o i fondi pensione, hanno paura di entrare. Lo stanno facendo solo negli ultimi anni ma ancora con qualche timore.

La legge americana vuole tracciare queste linee, dividendo i compiti tra le varie autorità di controllo per evitare un continuo tiro alla fune su chi deve comandare.

Ma la mossa più dura colpisce le stablecoin, cioè le crypto agganciate al valore del dollaro.

Molti exchange offshore oggi ti promettono guadagni facili semplicemente lasciando i tuoi soldi fermi sulla piattaforma. Il cosiddetto staking.

Ecco, la nuova legge vuole vietarlo: potrai guadagnare solo se quei soldi finanziano attività digitali reali e trasparenti.

Secondo alcuni, però, dietro ci potrebbe essere una strategia di egemonia monetaria.

Cioè gli Stati Uniti vorrebbero ripulire il settore per fare in modo che in futuro i dollari digitali americani diventino i più sicuri al mondo.

Usandoli come uno scudo geopolitico contro i progetti concorrenti, come lo yuan digitale cinese.

In poche parole l’era delle crypto nate nei garage potrebbe volgere al termine, lasciando spazio a quella delle crypto regolate dallo Stato.

Certo tutto questo andrebbe contro a uno dei principi fondatori del bitcoin: la decentralizzazione. Nel momento in cui entrano le autorità, questa si perderebbe.

Tom Lee thinks the people selling Bitcoin right now are making one of the biggest mistakes of this decade. And he is not just saying that. He is laying out a specific structured case for why five major tailwinds are converging at the same time, why the bottom is already behind us, and why the next move in Bitcoin and Ethereum is going to catch most people off guard.

Tom Lee, co-founder and head of research at Fundstrat Global Advisors and one of Wall Street’s most closely followed macro strategists, opens with a direct read on the macro setup most people are missing. The Iran conflict pushed oil prices higher. Every sustained oil spike since 1985 has driven core inflation above 2%, and when inflation runs hot, central banks keep policy tight and that is a ceiling on risk assets including crypto.

But here is the specific data point that matters. Ethereum’s inverse correlation to oil is currently at the highest level in the asset’s entire history. When oil falls, ETH rises with unusual force. If the conflict ends and the terror premium comes out of oil, the mechanical tailwind for crypto is immediate and direct.

On top of that, he lays out four additional converging catalysts. A pro-Bitcoin White House actively pushing stable coin policy. A new Fed chair, Kevin Worsh, who is publicly supportive of digital assets. Demographic tailwinds from millennials and Gen Z entering peak earning years that Lee believes push the S&P toward 15,000 to 18,000 by end of decade. And the Clarity Act, which prediction markets are pricing at 56% odds but which his conversations in Washington suggest is significantly more likely to pass.

Then he gets to the argument most crypto analysts are not making yet. The entire future infrastructure of artificial intelligence needs blockchain to work, not as an addition but as a necessity. AI agents executing thousands of microtransactions per second across multiple platforms cannot route through Visa or Mastercard, systems designed for humans authorizing one transaction at a time.

Authentication, identity verification, payment speed, and programmable settlement all work natively on blockchain in ways traditional rails were never built to handle. He maps how AI capital has moved so far, first into semiconductors, then memory, then big tech platforms, then software. Crypto is the next layer in that sequence and he believes it is months away, not years.

Why stable coin transaction volume already crossing Visa is not a prediction but a current reality that most people have not registered. Why Tether earning $15 billion with 300 employees and Jane Street earning $40 billion with 3,000 means crypto-native companies are already out-earning the most profitable traditional bank on Earth. And why he believes five of the ten largest financial institutions in the world will be crypto-native companies within a decade.
