10 Best Adventure Movies in Film History
If there’s any one genre that has been delivering some of history’s greatest films for as long as the medium has been employed for storytelling, it’s the adventure genre. From classic silent short films like Georges Méliès‘ A Trip to the Moon to modern blockbusters of the size of Dune: Part Two, the best adventure movies in film history have gone down as some of the greatest motion pictures ever made, regardless of genre.
The wonderful thing about adventure cinema is how tremendously versatile it is. We can be talking about a grand space opera, a gritty urban action movie, or a high fantasy epic of unprecedented proportions. Regardless, we’re talking about film history’s greatest, most important, most groundbreaking, and most influential adventure movies.
10
‘Dune: Part Two’ (2024)
Frank Herbert‘s Dune is far more than just a great space opera: It’s nothing short of one of the greatest and most influential science fiction novels of the 20th century, and as such, fans’ jaws were left on the floor when Denis Villeneuve proved capable of delivering such a high-quality film adaptation in 2021. But as great as the first Dune was, it’s Dune: Part Two that will likely be remembered as one of the best sci-fi films in history a few decades from now.
It is, at the very least, one of the best sci-fi movies of the last 10 years, one whose grand quest across the desert planet of Arrakis also makes it a masterful adventure film. Visually stunning, elevated greatly by Hans Zimmer‘s best score in years, and perfect in how it translates Herbert’s cautionary tale against the dangers of charismatic messianic leaders, it’s a flawless marriage between Herbert’s imagination and Villeneuve’s powerful vision.
9
‘Spirited Away’ (2001)
Hayao Miyazaki is not only the poster boy of Studio Ghibli, but arguably the king of anime filmmaking as a whole. He has made several of the best animated adventure movies of all time, but there’s really no question as to which one is the best of them all: It has to be Spirited Away, one of the best family movies since 2000 and probably even the single greatest animated film of the 21st century.
It’s one of the most hauntingly atmospheric, visually gorgeous, and thematically complex animated adventure movies of all time. Far more than just a simple coming-of-age story, it’s a technically perfect and wonderfully-directed gem elevated by some of the strongest world-building and character development ever seen in an animated film.
8
‘The Wages of Fear’ (1953)
The French-Italian masterpiece The Wages of Fear, directed Henri-Georges Clouzot, is no traditional adventure movie. It’s one of the most intense movies of the 1950s, a high-octane road thriller that’s an absolute masterpiece in how to build suspense. Anybody who loves adventure films at their most tense ought to consider Wages of Fear essential viewing.
What really sets the film apart is that aside from being nail-bitingly entertaining, it also has a philosophical edge not often seen in adventure blockbusters. Blending perfectly-paced action with biting satire, it’s an existentialist meditation on capitalist exploitation that has aged like fine wine in virtually every sense imaginable.
7
‘Raiders of the Lost Ark’ (1981)
If adventure has a name, it must be Indiana Jones, because there is no adventure movie that represents the genre more iconically than Steven Spielberg‘s Raiders of the Lost Ark. Far more than just one of the best-made popcorn movies of all time, this action-adventure masterpiece is pretty much the face of the adventure genre as a whole.
It’s one of the most fun action movies of all time, led by the single most iconic adventurer in the genre’s history. Balancing pulpy action with clever set pieces, John Williams‘ timeless score, Harrison Ford‘s legendary performance, and an engrossing story, it’s a perfect blockbuster that’s easily among the most entertaining pieces of movie magic in the art form’s history.
6
‘The Empire Strikes Back’ (1980)
Back when George Lucas released Star Wars in 1977, it’s anyone’s guess whether he had any idea of the multimedia pop-cultural behemoth that he was creating. And yet, all these many years later, after decades’ worth of Star Wars media—from movies to books to video games and beyond—, fans typically still agree that the best installment of the bunch is The Empire Strikes Back, now retroactively known as Episode V.
Part science fiction and part fantasy, this adventure masterpiece is irresistibly entertaining from start to finish. Perfectly paced, perfectly imaginative, and elevated by some of the most stunning production values that 20th-century cinema ever saw, it’s the space opera par excellence for a reason. Simply put, no science fantasy film has ever been more timeless than the tale of Luke Skywalker rising to face the Empire as a Jedi once and for all.
5
‘Back to the Future’ (1985)
Robert Zemeckis‘ Back to the Future is irrefutable proof that a science fiction film doesn’t need to be high art in order to be absolutely perfect. One of the best sci-fi comedy movies of all time, this adventure movie gem is one of the most timeless and irresistibly charming blockbusters in Hollywood history, the kind that everyone should watch at least once in their lives.
The whole trilogy is a classic for a reason, but there’s just no beating the original. Delightfully creative, full of life-or-death stakes, and packed with some of the most iconic scenes and set pieces in modern Hollywood film history, Back to the Future is a masterclass in pretty much every single department of blockbuster filmmaking.
4
‘The Lord of the Rings: The Return of the King’ (2003)
Tied with Ben-Hur and Titanic as the most Oscar-winning motion picture in history (with a whopping 11 victories), Peter Jackson‘s The Lord of the Rings: The Return of the King is not only the perfect way of ending such a perfect fantasy movie trilogy, but also far and away one of the best adventure movies since 2000. Fans of J. R. R. Tolkien‘s source material couldn’t have possibly predicted that a film adaptation could work this well.
Perfection when it comes to all forms of art is, of course, a highly subjective thing. But if there’s any one adventure movie that comes so remarkably close to perfection that it’s almost undeniable, it’s Return of the King. Exciting, emotional, action-packed, creative, and perfectly written and directed from beginning to credits, it’s one of the greatest epics in the history of cinema.
3
‘2001: A Space Odyssey’ (1968)
Stanley Kubrick is still regarded by many as the greatest filmmaker in history, and all it takes is one look at 2001: A Space Odyssey to understand why. It’s probably Kubrick’s greatest masterpiece, a space opera so beautifully poetic and slow-burning that it almost borders on being arthouse. Complex, philosophical, and wonderfully artistic, it’s a must-see for anyone and everyone who loves sci-fi adventures.
There’s something here for pretty much everyone: Exciting set pieces, introspective moments of thematic exploration, wonderful music, striking production values, and several mind-bending moments that make re-watches pretty much obligatory. It’s one of the most complete and well-rounded explorations of human nature that either the sci-fi or adventure genres have ever produced for the big screen.
2
‘Lawrence of Arabia’ (1962)
There’s a very strong argument to be made that David Lean was the greatest director of cinematic epics in history, and as proof, there’s also a very strong argument to make that Lawrence of Arabia is the greatest epic film of all time. It is, at least, one of the best movie masterpieces of the last 100 years, a war biopic unlike anything else that cinema had seen before or has seen since.
What makes Lawrence of Arabia such an elegantly unique adventure movie is that while its four-hour-long narrative is undeniably vast in scale, its scope is so surprisingly intimate and character-driven that those four hours end up feeling like much less. There are grand, thrilling, masterfully-produced combat set pieces here, but also a richly detailed exploration of T. E. Lawrence‘s psyche flawlessly anchored by Peter O’Toole‘s exceptional debut as a leading man.
1
‘Indiana Jones and the Last Crusade’ (1989)
As exceptional and timeless as Raiders of the Lost Ark, which is almost undoubtedly the most iconic installment in the Indiana Jones franchise, may be, it’s Spielberg’s Indiana Jones and the Last Crusade that is arguably the single greatest adventure movie in film history. This is a genre that’s all about excitement, the wonders of discovery, and the thrill of a good quest, and Last Crusade offers all of that and more.
It’s one of the most entertaining movies of the 1980s, a blockbuster masterpiece made perfectly by the king of Hollywood blockbusters. Bringing Sean Connery on as Indy’s father was far more than just a cute gimmick: The relationship between these two characters serves as the heart and soul of Last Crusade, making it a film as beautifully emotional as it is incredibly exciting. The action sequences are thrilling, the character moments are deeply moving, and the whole thing stands out as the peak of the adventure cinematic genre.

Perez Hilton’s Family Breaks Silence as He Receives ‘Care’
Perez Hilton’s family is speaking out after the celebrity blogger was hospitalized.
“Many of you have reached out with concern for Perez, and we are incredibly grateful for the overwhelming outpouring of love, support, and prayers. We can confirm that Perez is receiving medical care, and our family’s focus right now is on his well-being,” a statement from Hilton’s team and family read via his website on Wednesday, August 5.
The message concluded, “We kindly ask that you respect Perez’s privacy, as well as the privacy of his family, during this difficult time. If and when we are able to share any updates, we will do so with everyone as soon as we can. Thank you for your compassion, understanding, and continued support.”
Hours earlier, Hilton’s agent Dante Rusciolelli told Us in a statement that there was no “additional confirmed information to share regarding Perez Hilton’s condition” after he appeared in a distressing livestream.
“Our focus remains on Perez’s health, recovery, and the privacy of both him and his family during this incredibly difficult time,” Rusciolelli said, adding that Hilton’s team is “grateful for the outpouring of concern and support from fans, friends, and members of the media.”
“We respectfully ask that everyone continue to honor his privacy while he receives the care he needs,” the statement concluded. “Should there be any verified updates appropriate for public release, they will come directly from Dante Rusciolelli at Golden Artists Entertainment.”
Hilton, 48, appeared to engage in self-harm behaviors during a late-night TikTok livestream on Tuesday, August 4. First responders were called to Hilton’s home for an apparent “suicide attempt,” per 911 dispatch audio obtained by Page Six on Wednesday. Multiple units arrived at the scene on Tuesday and reportedly stayed at his home in Miami for hours.
“The Miami-Dade Sheriff’s Office received multiple calls regarding an individual who was live-streaming acts of self-harm on social media,” read a statement from the Miami-Dade Sheriff’s Office to Us. “Deputies quickly located the individual’s residence, where they spoke with family members on scene, and confirmed he was alone inside.”
The statement continued, “In many incidents involving a person experiencing a mental health crisis or actively harming themselves, deputies prioritize deescalation by creating time, distance and opportunities for communication. At this time, deputies have tactfully disengaged while continuing to monitor the situation.”
Authorities confirmed in a separate statement that Hilton had been “safely recovered” and transported to a nearby hospital, without mentioning him by name.
“He is receiving medical attention,” the second message read. “The Miami-Dade Sheriff’s Office Crisis Response Unit and Licensed Mental Health Professionals are also on scene providing support and resources to the individual’s family.”

Miranda Kerr Details Coparenting With ‘Brother’ Orlando Bloom
Miranda Kerr and Orlando Bloom haven’t been romantically together since 2013, but they will forever be “family” thanks to their son, Flynn.
Kerr, 43, revealed on the Tuesday, August 4, episode of the “Let’s Be Honest” podcast that she and Bloom, 49, have been great coparents “from day one.”
The model confessed, “It’s obviously not easy when you’re separating and there’s always a level of hurt even if you both know it’s for the right reasons. So there’s always a level of hurt both ways I would say in any separation.”
However, she and Bloom chose to focus on their son, Flynn, now 15, and his needs following their divorce. (The pair were married three years from 2010 to 2013 before they parted ways.)
“The most important thing that I learnt is just to put the needs of the child first,” Kerr explained of their post-split dynamic.
She told host Kristin Cavallari that she always asked herself, “Is this in the best interest of Flynn?”
Kerr was adamant about getting her and Bloom’s “needs out of the way” and instead focused on the well-being of their son, adding, “And that was really our guidepost for any decision.”

The KORA Organics founder noted that her history with Bloom has helped improve their coparenting relationship.
“Through that, we’ve known each other for a long time, we’ve developed such a good friendship that he’s just part of the family,” Kerr said. “He’s like a brother, you know? So we have that.”
In addition to son Flynn, Kerr is the mother of sons Hart, 8, and Myles, 6, and Pierre, 2, whom she shares with husband Evan Spiegel. (The Australian native married Spiegel, 36, in 2017.)
Like Kerr, Spiegel has always been all-in on working alongside Bloom to coparent.
“What I saw from Miranda and Orlando was very different from what I experienced,” the Snapchat CEO told WSJ. Magazine in July 2020. “I am in no way a replacement for Flynn’s dad. I feel like [I’m part of] Team Flynn.”
Spiegel added at the time that he admired Kerr’s “Aussie way” of letting everyone into their home, including Bloom and any of Flynn’s friends.

“This is one of the things I love about Miranda,” Spiegel said. “Everyone is welcome.”
Bloom, for his part, is also the father of daughter Daisy, 5, whom he shares with ex-fiancée Katy Perry.
Us exclusively confirmed in June 2025 that Perry, 41, and Bloom had called off their engagement after nearly a decade of dating.
Kerr, meanwhile, proved that her friendship with the Pirates of the Caribbean actor was still intact — and that Perry would always be part of her life as well.
“We’re one big, happy family,” Kerr said during a September 2025 appearance on KIIS FM’s “Kyle & Jackie O Show.”
She continued, “Katy is amazing, I love her. And Orlando obviously.”
Kerr noted that she had just seen them both “on the weekend” as they were “celebrating” Daisy’s birthday together.
Perry has since moved on romantically with Justin Trudeau.

‘Doctor Who’s Most Divisive Showrunner Sheds Light on the Show’s Cancellation
How the timey-wimey have fallen. It wasn’t long ago that it felt like the future of Doctor Who was in safe hands, as former showrunner Russell T. Davies, who had helmed the series’ best modern period, returned to steer a once-sinking ship. However, this second stint for Davies, which saw him rely heavily on nostalgia and fail to turn around dropping ratings, ended in disaster. Even exciting new Time Lord Ncuti Gatwa seemingly exited earlier than expected, with his final episode a rushed, unconvincing mess.
It was recently announced that Doctor Who had been put out to competitive tender, with the once-promised 2026 Christmas special and hunt for a new lead, in fact, not true all along. Since this announcement, many have had their say, from Davies pulling the rug from beneath fans’ feet to former stars mourning the loss. Broadchurch creator Chris Chibnall, who is cited as the showrunner who began this downward spiral for Doctor Who, has now candidly admitted on the WHO Corner to Corner podcast exactly what the main reason is behind this mammoth decision.
Chibnall revealed that it’s “very easy to miss the point that this is primarily about money,” adding, “It’s very hard for the BBC to fund their programmes right now because of what’s been done to them in terms of funding agreements over the past 15 years and the slow whittling away of that, and the increase in big Hollywood monoliths and conglomerates really taking over the market.” After a new regime at the BBC saw budgets slashed and many shows affected, this is hardly a surprise. “Really, what you’ve got is the BBC can’t afford to fully fund any drama now, and it certainly can’t afford to fund Doctor Who,” he added. Chibnall continued:
“Any discussion around it is about money more than anything else, and I think that that’s been missed a little in the discourse that I saw around the show. There’s all kinds of other things and obviously it’s hugely disappointing and hasn’t been handled brilliantly. But really, the big story is, look, this is a BBC that cannot afford to make shows that it wants to make. The BBC wants to make Doctor Who. Don’t be in any doubt about that.”
Will ‘Doctor Who’ Return?
As a show with change at its heart (or two hearts), Doctor Who and its millions of fans are no strangers to uncertainty. However, things haven’t felt this uncertain since the show first went off air all those decades ago. So what now? Will Doctor Who return? As one of the BBC’s flagship shows and one of the most famous sci-fi shows in the world, it’s unlikely Doctor Who will ever truly disappear. But will it return in its current form? That remains to be seen, but if BBC Studios can purchase the rights, then fans will have the best chance of seeing the timey-wimey show they know and love back on their screens.

Dr. Torkian Reveals Why Filler Won’t Lift Your Face and What Creates a Snatched Look
Everyone wants a sculpted appearance, but according to celebrity plastic surgeon Dr. Behrooz Torkian, you might be surprised by what really delivers that look.
The Beverly Hills, California based plastic surgeon has spent the past 20 years specializing in facial rejuvenation and says if you’ve been told filler can lift your face, it’s time to rethink that advice.
“For years we have been trying to bust the myth that fillers can lift skin or the face. They simply do not do that,” he tells ET. “Due to this wrongful belief, many patients have been overfilled with filler.”
Instead, he recommends solutions that truly address sagging skin.
“My practice is largely treatment of the aging face. One of the most requested procedures is treatment of the jowls and heavy necks. This was largely driven by the snatched look popularized by social media platforms, but with the increasing use of weight loss drugs, we are seeing more and more droopy lower faces as people lose fat. For this reason, my most requested procedures now are face and neck lift procedures,” he explains.
While platforms like Instagram and TikTok have made cosmetic procedures more mainstream, Torkian says it’s important to separate trends from reality.
“Patients are by and large more educated by social media. They have a better understanding of procedures and better knowledge of expected results. Unfortunately, some people get misled by the results they see and believe that any result is possible with any starting point. Sadly, that is not the case, and this is often best discussed during a consultation with an honest surgeon.”
If you’re not ready to go under the knife just yet, there are plenty of in-office options that can help refresh and tighten the skin.
“Botulinum toxin administered on a regular basis is our usual first step and another one of our favorites is doing a combination of Virtue RF and CoolPeel to tighten and improve skin laxity and polish skin that is getting droopy and dull in the lower face.”
To enhance those effects even further, he recommends incorporating regenerative therapies.
“The addition of biostimulatory treatments using peptides, exosomes, stem cells, and other such products to our existing treatments can enhance rejuvenation treatments overall,” he notes.
For anyone ready to dive face first into cosmetic surgery, subtlety is always the goal for Torkian.
“I always tell patients, ‘Let’s try not to get greedy’ when planning our aesthetic goals. Trying too hard to change features and change the structure of the face can quickly lead to very obviously surgical-looking results.”
His final piece of advice: Patience pays off.
“Come prepared with questions regarding healing and recovery so that you can proceed at a time that fits your life. Never rush a procedure into your schedule since you can never tell how you will feel and when you will feel comfortable resuming personal and social activities.”

2026’s Action Masterpiece Officially Returns This Year With New Release
Fight choreography goes two ways in cinema. It’s either average and the focus is elsewhere, or it’s all the film is about. Die Hard and John Wick are two good examples of the latter end of this spectrum. And when a dedicated martial arts film from the John Wick end of the spectrum scores this highly with critics (97% critics score and 95% popcornmeter on RT), it must really have some substance to justify the acclaim. For reference, John Wick sits at an 85% critics score on RT.
The film is helmed by Kenji Tanigaki, whose action work includes SPL and Twilight of the Warriors: Walled In. On top of it, the cast ensemble comes loaded too. Xie Miao began opposite Jet Li as a child actor, and Joe Taslim brought elite judo and The Raid experience. The rest of the cast is rounded out by Yayan Ruhian, JeeJa Yanin (Chocolate), Brian Le and Joey Iwanaga. While the film was released in 2026, Lionsgate, the film’s distributor also responsible for the home media roll-out, has now announced a 4K release.
Lionsgate Limited will release The Furious: 4K Collector’s Edition on August 11, 2026, priced at $29.99, and it will be sold through the label’s own store. The two-disc package contains the 113-minute, R-rated film on a 100GB 4K UHD disc and standard Blu-ray, plus a U.S.-only digital copy. The presentation retains its 2.39:1 widescreen composition with Dolby Vision and an English Dolby Atmos track, both of which are important upgrades for a movie whose wide framing tracks several fighters simultaneously and whose sound design makes every fall, strike, blade, and environmental impact legible.
In the 4K collector’s edition, extras include, but aren’t limited to, A Storm of Carnage: Creating The Furious, a dedicated Five-Man Brawl feature; deleted scenes; the trailer; reversible artwork by Khang Giate and Vincent Aseo; and a booklet featuring an essay by critic Priscilla Page. While The Furious didn’t do too well at the box office (raked in only $39.75 million worldwide against a budget of $20 million in June), it has managed to sit in high regard with both critics and audiences. The stakeholders seem to be tapping into that reception with this whole collector’s package released in the same year, just 2 months after its release.
The Furious follows a mute Chinese father and a tenacious journalist who team up to rescue an abducted daughter and a missing wife from a criminal network after corrupt police refuse to help. There are intense fighting sequences in the film, and it’s reported that for one of the final sequences, Tanigaki’s team rehearsed the fighting sequence for three months and spent 18 shooting days completing it. For a film like that, extras have real meat on them because they help show all the detail that went into justifying the punches, throws, improvised weapons, and bodies colliding inside the frame.
The Furious is available to stream on Prime Video, but its 100+ GB 4K Collector’s Edition will be available to buy at $29.99 a piece starting August 11, 2026. Stay tuned to Collider for more updates.

Young and Restless Early Spoilers Aug 10-14: Adam’s Fury Explodes & Matt Issues Threat!
Young and the Restless spoilers Aug 10-14 are intense with Adam Newman (Mark Grossman) absolutely enraged at several people and at least two of them deserve his wrath. Plus, Matt Clark (Roger Howarth) pushes back and makes some threats the Newmans should probably pay attention to.
Also, the week of August 10th through the 14th, we’ll see Billy Abbott (Jason Thompson) scrambling to make things right for his pregnant fiancée, Sally Spectra (Courtney Hope) while Danny Romalotti (Michael Damian) celebrates with Christine Blair Romalotti (Lauralee Bell).
And remember, always on Early Edition Day, we start with what is going on the rest of this week and then we get into what is ahead next week.
Young and the Restless Spoilers: Adam Flips Out on Sally
So, on Wednesday, August 5th, we’re going to have Adam ranting at Sally Spectra (Courtney Hope) at her house. He’s on fire about Billy running his mouth to Victor Newman (Eric Braeden) about the Newman Media deal. Adam says Billy cannot be trusted and he asks why Sally told Billy about the deal at all.
But Sally claims she just had no choice. However, Adam says Victor’s furious and Sally says, “Well, Victoria Newman (Amelia Heinle) is the one who told Billy about Newman Media and she just filled in the gaps.” Adam says Billy wanted to protect her from Adam, but he’s not the problem. It’s Victor. And now Billy has made it all so much worse.
Sally tells Adam she was never going to keep it from Billy and says they don’t lie to each other like Adam used to lie to her when they were together. And he tells Sally he doesn’t know if he can protect her against Victor after what Billy did, but Adam’s still willing to try. And he advises Sally to get Billy under control before he makes things even worse than he already has. Sally says sorry and she and Adam talk about her pregnancy cravings.
Then, Billy shows up and he’s gloating at how upset Victor was to hear about the deal. Adam leaves angry and then Sally’s mad that Billy antagonized Victor. He initially won’t apologize, but Sally is furious and says Billy undermined her and put her company at risk. Sally threatens him and says Billy better find a way to fix what he broke. And she storms out mad.
Y&R Spoilers: Matt Clark’s Dangerous Threats
Cane Ashby (Billy Flynn) overhears Matt leaving a message for Phyllis Summers (Michelle Stafford) about not having clothes to wear to his office job at Arabesque. And Cane wants to know if he’s working for Phyllis and asks about him targeting Victor. And Matt says he doesn’t want to target anybody. But Cane says if you’re working for Phyllis, you will be because that’s all she does. Matt says he’s just trying to get out from under Victor’s control and already moved out of the ranch. And Matt says he’s only staying in town because of Phyllis.
And Cane tells him about his Dumas days and says people died. Matt admits he is an even worse man and has done things so much more heinous than Cane even considered doing. So, Matt says he will never be forgiven because he’s been a monster to Nick Newman (Joshua Morrow), Sharon Newman (Sharon Case), Noah Newman (Lucas Adams), and his ex-wife Sienna Bacall (Tamara Braun), who he tried to kill recently. Matt says he lost his memory, then got it back, and it was an absolute horror show. And he hopes that he really has changed, but Matt honestly doesn’t know if he has for sure.
Cane admires his honesty. And Matt admits he’s scared of Victor’s wrath. And Cane warns that when Phyllis turns on him, she’s pretty treacherous, too. Adam shows up and starts hassling Matt before Matt can amp up too much. Matt says he told Cane the truth about everything. Adam keeps on, but Cane tells Adam, “Just leave us alone.” So, he tells Matt to leave Genoa City, and Matt tells Adam he’s staying and he can defend himself if they force him to. And then Matt warns Adam they should just leave him alone.
Young and the Restless: Victor and Nikki’s Vow Renewal
Nikki Newman (Melody Thomas Scott) gets home to find a romantic setting and Victor puts her ring on her finger, asks her to marry him again. He left a dress upstairs and Nikki comes down looking all pretty, ready to renew their vows. Michael Baldwin (Christian LeBlanc) is officiating. Abby Newman (Melissa Ordway), Claire Newman (Hayley Erin), and Victoria Newman (Amelia Heinle) are there. Nick checked out of rehab short-term hopefully to be there too. But Nick wants to know where Adam is.
So, Victor tells Nick that the two of them argued over Newman Media and now Adam’s not replying to his texts. Nick says Noah leaving town hit him really hard and the kids that are there make speeches after the ceremony and Nick says Victor and Nikki prove that love can conquer all.
Y&R Spoilers: Cane & Billy Act Like Grown Ups
Thursday, August 6th on The Young and the Restless, Cane and Billy are willing to put their differences aside for Jill Abbott’s (Jess Walton) sake. Billy told Sally couple of weeks ago that Jill is hiding something big from him and from Cane. Billy thought initially it was something to do with business, but I have a feeling it might be to do with Jill’s health. Maybe her heart is failing after all.
Christine is stunned this week when Danny brings her to The Shadow Room and says he’s done touring and that Noah has hired him as the new rock club manager. So, we should be seeing more of Danny and Christine. And I’m sure Phyllis is going to show up soon with Matt to push their buttons.
Young and the Restless Spoilers: Sally on Damage Control
Sally proposes a new deal to Adam. And I’m sure that Sally’s trying to do damage control now that Billy ran his mouth and blabbed Adam and Sally’s deal to Victor. And of course, Adam and Sally are both worried Victor will come after Spectra Charles. I think it’d be kind of interesting if Adam and Chelsea Lawson (Melissa Claire Egan) teamed up with Audra Charles (Zuleyka Silver) and Sally and they all work together because Adam’s so ticked off at Victor.
Sienna and Noah are officially done at Young and the Restless. Lucas Adams and Tamara Braun are out. We’ll have to wait and see if the new writers decide to bring them back. I like Lucas Adams, but the writers have never done a good job writing for Noah. They wasted Rory Gibson in the role. And of course, Tamara Braun’s always great, but Josh Griffith failed her as well.

Young and Restless: Mariah Meets Matt – Upcoming Week
Friday, August 7th, on Young and the Restless, Mariah Copeland (Camryn Grimes) meets Matt. So, Mariah said that she sees herself in Matt while talking to her mom and her brother. But no. And Sharon said, “No, you don’t compare yourself to Matt the monster.” Honestly, it would be so cringe if Mariah and Matt became friends because of his past actions.
It would be awful, but honestly, I put nothing past the ex-headwriter who is thankfully gone, but unfortunately his work is still being featured on these episodes. Also, this week, Holden Novak (Nathan Owens) talks to his boss Cane at the GCAC bar. Adam’s working with Victoria to help Nick by the end of the week. He may be trying to not go back to rehab after checking out for Victor and Nikki’s vow renewal.
Even if Adam’s annoyed with Victor, he definitely is going to stick around to see Nick get his life back together. Audra points Billy in the right direction. I expect Audra’s giving Billy advice on how to clean up the mess he made by blabbing Sally’s secret to Victor. But there’s no way that Billy can go to Victor directly to fix things because he hates Billy Boy. We all know that.
Y&R Spoilers: New Character Marie Kirkland Debuts
Then the week of August 10th through the 14th, we have Jade Harlow debuting as Marie Kirkland. She starts on Monday, August 10th. It is a recurring role. Marie has a complicated past and comes to Genoa City to make a fresh start. So, I’m wondering if this is somebody that maybe Nick meets in rehab or at an NA meeting if he decides to blow off rehab.
Cane and Matt may conspire against Victor while he’s gone to Italy with Nikki. Matt says he doesn’t want to go after anybody, but if the Newmans don’t leave him alone, as Adam threatened, then Matt may decide to retaliate because he just told Adam he’ll defend himself if he must. And I think you want to take a warning from Matt Clark pretty seriously.
Mariah is readjusting to life back in Genoa City. I’m wondering if Tessa Porter (Cait Fairbanks) and Aria are going to finally pop back up on screen or if it’s going to be nothing but off-screen mentions. Mariah will have more scenes with Matt soon. Things turn around for Devon Hamilton Winters (Bryton James) and Abby after Mariah and Devon get together to talk through his ongoing anger issues that Mariah of course knows are all her fault. Hopefully Devon will then open up to Abby after he talks with Mariah.
Lily Winters (Christel Khalil) and Cane mix pleasure with their business. So, that means more frisky time. Hopefully, they’re going to hit the sheets and not just the couch cushions again. And Danny has written a new love song and he’s going to serenade Christine with it up at the Shadow Room.

Perez Hilton’s Rep Addresses Blogger’s Hospitalization
Perez Hilton’s team is speaking out after the blogger was transported to a hospital following a disturbing livestream.
“At this time, we do not have any additional confirmed information to share regarding Perez Hilton’s condition,” Hilton’s agent Dante Rusciolelli tells Us in a statement. “Our focus remains on Perez’s health, recovery, and the privacy of both him and his family during this incredibly difficult time.”
His rep continued that Perez’s team is “grateful for the outpouring of concern and support from fans, friends, and members of the media.”
“We respectfully ask that everyone continue to honor his privacy while he receives the care he needs,” the statement concludes, adding that any verified updates will come directly from Rusciolelli.
Hilton, 48, appeared to engage in self-harm behaviors during a late-night livestream on Tuesday, August 4, and police were subsequently notified.
In a separate statement, authorities confirmed that Hilton was “safely recovered” and transported to a nearby hospital.
“He is receiving medical attention,” the second statement read, without mentioning Hilton by name. “The Miami-Dade Sheriff’s Office Crisis Response Unit and Licensed Mental Health Professionals are also on scene providing support and resources to the individual’s family.”
According to 911 dispatch audio obtained by Page Six on Wednesday, August 5, first responders were called to Hilton’s home for an apparent “suicide attempt.” Multiple units arrived at the scene on Tuesday and reportedly stayed at his Miami residence for hours.
“We are aware of the concerning content circulating online involving our client, Perez Hilton,” Rusciolelli and Golden Artists Entertainment co-CEO Rebekah Kochan wrote via Instagram on Tuesday. “At this time, we have not been able to make direct contact with him, despite our ongoing efforts to reach him. Our primary concern is Perez’s health and well being, as well as the well being of his family.”
They concluded, “Until we have confirmed information, we will not speculate or comment further. We appreciate everyone’s concern and ask that his privacy be respected during this time.”

Beyond the Gates Early Spoilers Aug 10-14: Anita’s Alert and Leslie Loses Control!
Beyond the Gates spoilers Aug 10-14 include Anita Dupree (Tamara Tunie) warning one of her daughters. And we’ve also got Leslie Thomas (Trisha Mann-Grant) unhinged and lashing out despite her promises of big life changes after Eva’s life and death ordeal.
We have Bill Hamilton (Timon Kyle Durrett) collapsing one last time. Randy Parker (Maurice P. Kerry) panicking as the game is up and also Eva Thomas Richardson (Ambyr Michelle) getting distressing news.
And as we always do on early edition day, we talk about what’s happening the rest of this week and then get into what is happening the week ahead.
Beyond the Gates Spoilers: Anita Lashes Out in Frustration
On Wednesday, August 5th, Beyond the Gates episodes, we’re going to see Anita frustrated and banging on the piano at home while Vernon Dupree (Clifton Davis) watches with some concern. This may be tied into Anita giving her daughter a deadline. So, this could be her insisting that Dani Dupree (Karla Mosley) cannot be allowed to fixate on Bill and Hayley much longer.
Anita may say, “You got two days and then it’s done.” Obviously, she’s also interested in whether horrible Hayley is cheating on Bill or up to something. But the bottom line is Vernon and Anita don’t want Dani fixated on Bill again. They know it’s not healthy for her. Dani is finally in a good place after bringing a gun to Bill’s wedding and going off the rails in many ways since then.
BTG Spoilers: Eva Gets Awful News
Eva gets terrible news on Wednesday. I’m worried there’s going to be some kind of complications with her transplant, but it could be work-related at the clinic. And we have seen her insisting to Izaiah Hawthorne (David Lami Friebe) that she’s fine, but she’s also very self-conscious about her scar. So, she’s been putting off intimacy. But Eva also has seemed like she’s still in some sort of pain.
Then again, the terrible news may be about her crazy mom, Leslie, who’s sticking her nose into Nicole Dupree Richardson‘s (Daphnee Duplaix) business. Again, Leslie specifically hired Noah because he is Kyle’s son, the son of one of Nicole’s boyfriends. And now Leslie is dumping poison in Noah’s ears. We also have Leslie blasting Nicole in front of Dr. Carlton Fitzgerald (Robert Christopher Riley).
Leslie’s at Fairmont Crest Country Club watching Carlton and Nicole. And Leslie is snarking to herself, saying, “Daddy’s getting laid by darling Nicole at the Comfort Inn and Suite.” So maybe because Leslie knows Kial Rollins (Greg Vaughan) crashing at Nicole’s place, she’s making snarky hotel comments. Noah may have spilled to Leslie that his dad is at Nicole’s house a lot.
Beyond the Gates: Vernon/Izaiah Meeting and College Drama
Vernon gets together with Izaiah. This may be about Banaker business, or he may be checking in on Eva and what else has been going on. Tyrell Richardson (Jaden Lucas Miller) plan blows up in his face. We know that he was wanting to go to school with Jessica and that didn’t work out.
And she’s already told Tyrell that long-distance romance is not what she wants. Martin Richardson (Brandon Claybon) loses it and tells his son that you are not half-assing your way through college. And Tyrell claps back at Martin and Smitty that he’s tired of listening to what everybody wants him to do. He says he’s 18, but then he storms off like a toddler.
BTG Spoilers: Ted Clashes with Leslie
Thursday, August 6th, we’ve got Leslie and Ted Richardson (Keith D. Robinson) clashing over Eva on Beyond the Gates. And it might be about this bad news that she gets. Both Ted and Leslie always want to take care of Eva. Randy is suddenly a frequent topic of conversation in the DMV.
His affiliation with Hayley baffles the Dupree family. Dani and Vanessa McBride (Lauren Buglioli) initially think that Hayley is bedding him, but then Vanessa gave them some info indicating Hayley and Randy are from the same hometown. And as viewers know, they are actually cousins and not kissing cousins either.
Dani is really shaking Randy up when she corners him with some very pointed questions about him and Hayley. And I wonder if Dani will question Randy about the day of Hayley’s alleged miscarriage and why he used another name during that encounter and pretended not to know Hayley.
Dani may threaten to go see Joey Armstrong (Jon Lindstrom) and that might scare Randy. I’m also wondering if he warns Hayley that the Dupree are getting way too close for comfort to what they’ve been doing.
Beyond the Gates Spoilers: Bill & Chelsea Argue While Andre Faces His Past
Bill bickers with Chelsea Hamilton (RhonniRose Mantilla) about Hayley. His daughters are sure she’s up to bad things, but Bill will never admit he messed up with Hayley because his ego won’t allow it.
Nicole and Carlton reach a new understanding. We know he wants Nicole to himself, and that’s not what she wants. So, Carlton may tap out because he’s frustrated, or Nicole may tell him, “Take it or leave it.” And Carlton decides to leave it, at least for now.
Andre Richardson (Sean Freeman) messy past catches up with him towards the end of the week. So far, Dani’s in the dark over Andre’s anxiety about the mystery champagne, and it might be a bad omen. Very soon, his stalker makes herself known.
BTG Spoilers: Bill’s Deathbed Crisis
Then on Friday, August 7th, on Beyond the Gates, Kial is taken aback. This may be with Nicole, or he may learn from Noah what Leslie has been saying about Nicole, Anita, and the other Duprees. We also have a spoiler that says Nicole updates a shocked Kial. So, these may be separate spoilers or the same ones worded differently because it came from two sources. So, after the showdown with Carlton, after Leslie made that scene, Nicole may decide that she is ready to commit to Kial, at least to some extent. They may be exclusive soon.
Things start going right for Hayley Lawson (Marquita Goings) when she gets what she wants. It looks like Bill’s about to be on his deathbed. Looks like he collapses, but thankfully Caroline Lee (Ellie Wang) is there to help him. I’m sure she’ll get Bill to the hospital where Madison Montgomery (Kenjah McNeil) is scrambling to figure out what’s wrong because Bill is so much worse. Looks like Hayley might have gone crazy with his final dose of poison because Randy may warn her that time is up.
Beyond the Gates Spoilers: Eva Gets Awful News
Ted comforts his upset daughter. It’s likely Eva as she gets terrible news this week. But Kat Richardson (Colby Muhammad) also been working on this Hayley project and she may be distraught that they didn’t stop her in time and now Bill’s in life or death mode.
Andre can’t deal with it alone anymore and he asks Bradley ‘Smitty’ Smith (Mike Manning) for help. Andre’s been looking over his shoulder and needs help finding his stalker to stop them.
Andre may have an inkling of who it is based on his messy past when he was in Europe. Joey’s sister Heather Armstrong (Ashley Jones) gets closer to both Dani and Vanessa. Heather the Impaler is dangerous and Joey may not want her any closer to Vanessa.
BTG Week of August 10-14 Spoilers: Things Get Worse for Andre
Then the week of August 10th through the 14th on Beyond the Gates, we’re going to see Andre’s stalker amping up and sending him an invitation to meet. It’s all very mysterious. And this has scorned and obsessed ex-lover written all over it. It’s a bad time since Dani cheated with Bill at the fundraiser.
She’s sitting on that secret and Andre sitting on this secret. And secrets aren’t good for a marriage. Martin and Smitty try to help Tyrell who is dumped by Jessica soon and is totally heartbroken. Samantha Richardson (Najah Jackson) may be full of I told you so because she literally told Tyrell so.

Beyond the Gates Spoilers: Vernon Watches Dani & Bill
Vernon keeps a watchful eye on Dani with regard to Bill after this life or death collapse and Hayley’s endgame is out. I think Anita and Vernon are going to be concerned that Dani will backtrack to her ex and Vernon takes a note of Bill’s behavior when he starts to recover. That’ll be later in August.
And he’s going to demand answers about his intentions with Dani because of course Anita and Vernon want Bill to stay away from Dani. I’m guessing that Anita and Vernon are going to be horrified when they inevitably learn about Dani and Bill’s elevator encounter.
Jacob Hawthorne (Jibre Hordges) planning something big for Naomi Hamilton Hawthorne (Arielle Prepetit) in the next couple of weeks, but he needs help from her bestie Ashley Morgan (Jen Jacob) and her boyfriend Grayson Perez (Jordie Vilasuso). So, it sounds like it’s something fun at Uptown since they’re hanging out there all the time and Grayson is now the bartender there.
BTG Spoilers: Bill Gets a Rude Awakening
Eva and Izaiah get real with each other, and this could take them to a new level in their relationship. Look for jealous Leslie to keep prodding at Nicole and trying to manipulate Noah into thinking the worst of his dad, Kyle’s girlfriend. Although, I’m sure that Nicole and Kyle will figure out what she’s up to, and they may write Noah a reality check.
Ted remains concerned about both of his daughters. And Bill soon has to face the ugly truth about his horrible life choices and what they almost cost him, his very life itself. And we’ll find out if Hayley gets away with attempted murder.
