'RHOSLC' Season 7 Has Sisterhood And Just As Much Drama

The cast of Bravo’s “Real Housewives of Salt Lake City” is putting everything on the table during season 7. In the brand new trailer, not only does the cast rally around Mary Cosby after the death of her 23-year-old son, Robert Cosby Jr., but they’re also putting their marriage struggles on full display. Of course, there’s plenty of laughter to go around with just as much drama.

The season 7 trailer shows Mary speaking with her co-stars after she lost her son earlier this year. “I could not have gotten through it without you guys,” Mary told her co-star, Angie Katsanevas, in the clip. “You guys were there for me.”

Mary is also seen speaking with her husband, Robert Cosby Sr., telling him that he was her “strength” throughout the difficult storm. “You’ve been like my sidepiece,” she said before correcting herself. “My sidekick,” she said with a laugh.

According to The Blast, Robert Jr. died in late February 2026. Mary confirmed the news with a post on Instagram, writing, “Our beloved son Robert Jr. has been called home to the Lord.”

Filming For The New Season Began Shortly After His Death

The details surrounding Robert Jr.’s death haven’t been revealed. However, a previous report from The Blast revealed that police were called to a Utah home about a possible overdose.

Mary spoke with her son about his drug use and addiction struggles during a season 5 episode of the Bravo show. During the conversation, Robert revealed that he’d been using hard drugs for years.

“Then, I started doing Xanax with Acid, and then Molly with Xanax. I really like Xanax so I mix it with everything. Xanax and cocaine. You know the regular 30mg Oxys? I noticed … this was, like, a turning point for me. I was taking 10 at once, and I couldn’t even feel it,” he said candidly in the past.

Cameras for season 7 were scheduled to go up the day after Robert Jr.’s death, according to Lisa Barlow. If they did go up is still unclear, but regardless, Barlow said his death was a “bonding moment” for them all.

Marriage Issues Are On Display In ‘RHOSLC’ Season 7

Elsewhere in the trailer, Katsanevas’ marriage issues with Shawn Trujillo were front and center. “The most important person here is Elektra if we choose to go our separate ways,” Trujillo told Katsanevas during an intense conversation in the trailer. “That will crush her.”

Katsanevas and Trujillo split earlier this year, according to The Blast. They were married in 1999 and remained together for 27 years.

Another couple who went through it this year is Whitney and Justin Rose. “I don’t know if you and I can move forward in our marriage,” Whitney said to Justin in the clip.

According to Us Weekly, the pair also separated this year, and a source said they’re “no longer functioning as a couple.”

“The relationship has essentially come to a standstill, and they’re now trying to figure out what comes next,” the source added.

Trouble With Friendships, Too!

The marriages aren’t the only things on the rocks in “RHOSLC” season 7. Katsanevas recently detailed the challenges she goes through with her bestie, Mary.

“I think that it’s just very real and raw challenges that friends deal with,” she said, per The Blast. “She’s going through a lot, and I’m going through a lot.”

Katsanevas said there are many “ups-and-downs” this year between them, and that’s partly due to their growing bond.

“The honeymoon phase is over as your bond deepens,” she said. “You’re more honest with each other, and you say what you’re really feeling and thinking. We love each other. We love each other deeply.”

When Does ‘RHOSLC’ Season 7 Premiere?

“RHOSLC” season 7 will premiere on Bravo with a supersized episode on Wednesday, September 16, at 8 PM ET.

“This season the ladies of SLC celebrate St. Patrick’s Day in San Francisco and get some much-needed sunshine in Hawaii,” a press release for the upcoming batch of episodes reads. “Though they agree to set aside their differences and come together, nothing in Salt Lake City lasts forever as enduring bonds are tested and surprising new relationships are formed.”

This 10/10 Sim Video Game Is Officially the Best of 2026 So Far

Published

on

Ditto and pokémon celebrating in pokopia

2026 is over halfway done now, and in that time, fans have already experienced some of the best video games of the year, including 007: First Light and Resident Evil: Requiem. These two titles barely scratch the surface, though, as many phenomenal games are making this year unmissable for fans, and that is even before Grand Theft Auto VI and The Legend of Zelda: Ocarina of Time remake come out. However, one of the biggest gaming surprises comes from the biggest media franchise in the world: Pokémon. The recent state of their games has made fans stop expecting anything radical or even refreshing. Moreover, players are often upset over the lack of quality, bugs, and generally poor design, but the franchise might have just won back a lot of fans with their newest release in 2026, which marks the franchise’s 30th anniversary.

Pokémon Pokopia is the latest entry in the Pokémon franchise, and while it is a spin-off, it is selling like a mainline game—already over 4 million copies—but that number is understated since it only counts for the first five weeks. The Nintendo Switch 2 is a polarizing console, which only makes Pokémon Pokopia feel like more of a breath of fresh air. A remarkably original entry into a series that’s not exactly known for experimenting, it’s already one of the best video games of 2026. The Nintendo Switch 2 catalog will only grow more as the years go on, but this game has become an essential title for the system—not to mention a highlight in The Pokémon Company’s recent slate.

What Is ‘Pokémon: Pokopia’ About?

Pokémon: Pokopia is a spin-off of the main franchise, meaning it doesn’t feature traditional gameplay like catching, battling, collecting gym badges, and facing the Elite Four. Instead, this title is a sandbox game with life simulator elements, almost like a blend of Minecraft and Animal Crossing. Using the abilities of the Pokémon players meet along the way, gamers are able to turn the isolated land into a habitable place for all Pokémon. From building pathways, buildings, and beds to creating grass, placing blocks, and creating an overall vision, this game is a town-builder type game with crafting. Developed by Koei Tecmo’s Omega Force studio, who are also responsible for Dragon Quest Builders 2, this game features its signature style. This studio is well-known for delivering the best sandbox-building games, some of which are already among the greatest Nintendo Switch games.

Pokémon Pokopia is set in a post-apocalyptic version of the Kanto region, best known for the Generation One games Red and Blue. In it, players control a Ditto with no memories of who they previously were. Abandoned by humans, this world is now uninhabitable by Pokémon, making it truly isolated. Finding a photo of their old trainer, Ditto takes the form of the human before discovering Professor Tangrowth, who studies the environment of the setting. Now, it is up to Ditto to restore the world to its former glory by making it habitable for Pokémon. As more Pokémon inhabit the town, the world grows further, with Ditto also investigating the mysterious disappearance of humans. Even though it has a main story, fans are able to build the world of Pokémon Pokopia to their complete imagination.

‘Pokémon: Pokopia’ Is the Best Pokémon Game!

Pokémon Pokopia is the perfect anniversary present for the franchise’s 30th anniversary, even though fans were wishing the tenth generation of games would come out at the end of the year. Unfortunately, or maybe fortunately, Pokémon Winds and Waves is coming out sometime in 2027 after the Pokémon Presents in February was announced. Thus, Pokémon Pokopia had enough room to really make an impact on the franchise, and make an impact it did. This spin-off feels like a true original while still respecting the essence of Pokémon.

Even if Pokémon Pokopia isn’t a mainline game, it is one of the greatest video game spin-offs of all time, and also one of the best-looking titles in the franchise. Graphics-wise, it is better than everything Pokémon has to offer in the 3D realm, delivering a gorgeous world with polished graphics, well-made models, and no bugs or glitches. Pokémon Pokopia is one of the best optimized and polished Pokémon games, making it much easier to play and immerse in. Not only that, but it is also the highest-rated Pokémon game on Metacritic with an 89, beating out the previous record holder, Pokémon X and Y, with an 88. Arguably, the game’s greatest strength is how it captures what it would be like to actually live in the Pokémon world. It’s immersive and charming, making players’ bond with Pokémon not only believable but actually impactful and meaningful.

It may be hard to compare it to other games in the franchise because it’s such a different take on the classic formula, but Pokémon Pokopia clearly has the passion, polish, and quality behind it that many Pokémon games are missing. Even compared to the older classics, Pokémon Pokopia embodies the best of the franchise, using its distinct gameplay and relaxing vibes mixed with Pokémon worldbuilding, lore, and easter eggs to create a must-play game. The amount of attention to detail is astounding, adding to the fact that the gameplay loop is rewarding and engaging, arguably making it one of the greatest video games of all time.

Is ‘Pokémon: Pokopia’ the Game of the Year?

Pokemon gathering in pokopia game

Image via The Pokémon Company

As mentioned in the introduction, there are a lot of good games from 2026, including 007: First Light and Resident Evil: Requiem, leading the pack with Pokémon Pokopia. If it were just this lineup, Pokémon Pokopia could walk away with the win as it is tied for the second highest rated video game of the year on Metacritic. Things get a bit more complicated in September, when dozens of highly anticipated video games come out, including Marvel’s Wolverine and Control Resonant. But the real competition is in November, when GTA 6 and likely Ocarina of Time come out. Pokémon Pokopia is a fantastic game, and it will definitely win some awards. However, its place as a remarkable experience within the Pokémon fandom already makes it one-of-a-kind.

Pokémon’s 30th anniversary has already been a big one, and even if gamers were hoping for a new mainline entry, Pokémon Pokopia is arguably the better option. This optimized masterpiece is one of the most fluid gaming experiences fans have had, and with wholesome fun and cute moments, it is another defining entry in the franchise and a big reason why it has so many fans. Pokémon Pokopia is something completely different, but that variety is what makes the franchise special. Fans may not have expected it to be as good as it is, but the simplicity, weirdness, and wholesomeness boosted the appeal of Pokémon Pokopia to make it the best game of 2026 so far, and arguably the greatest video game Pokémon has to offer in the 2020s, at least until Winds and Waves comes out.

6 Essential Western Books for Beginners

Published

on

'The Virginian: A Horseman of the Plains' by Owen Wister

Western movies are one thing, but where ought one start if they’re looking to get into literary takes on the Old West? That’s a good question, though perhaps one not so easily answered. There are countless different novel combinations to choose from when it comes to the wild frontier, but if you’re seeking novels perfect for those just starting out in the genre, we have a few suggestions. From classical cowboy adventures to modern takes on the frontier, there are plenty of great Western tales out there worth diving into.

The Western novel (as well as the short story and novella) is often considered the bread and butter of the horse opera. After all, plenty of films and television programs are a direct result of bringing such thrilling words to the screen. You’ll likely recognize many of the works on display here for their live-action connotations, but rest assured, the best place to begin is the novel. So, get your bookmarks ready for this venture into the American West.

While the title may evoke images of James Drury and Doug McClure, the original Owen Wister novel couldn’t have been more different. Published in 1902, The Virginian: A Horseman of the Plains followed the titular hero as he makes his way along the frontier, finding love and conflict in the largely untamed Wyoming Territory. Wister paints a breathtaking picture of the mythic West and had a mighty hand in establishing the iconic cowboy tropes that long defined the genre.

The Virginian has been adapted several times in a feature film format and loosely as the aforementioned (and well-known) television series, which ran for nine seasons on NBC. But that aside, the novel deserves high praise for its vast influence on the Western genre at large. In fact, Wister’s tale was so influential that the Western Writers of America offers an annual “Owen Wister Award” in his honor for those who contribute powerfully to the genre. The Virginian was truly the first popular cowboy novel, so it’s no wonder that the series that shares its namesake is counted among the best classic Western TV shows as well.

‘True Grit’ (1968)

Originally published as a serial in The Saturday Evening Post, Charles Portis‘ expert Western novel was so popular that it found its way to the big screen (and with John Wayne at the helm) only a year after its release in 1968. Considered one of the “great American novels,” True Grit is a reflection by spinster Mattie Ross on her teenage exploits with U.S. Marshal Rooster Cogburn as she seeks vengeance for her father’s murder at the hands of outlaw Tom Chaney.

True Grit is a straightforward tale, but one that will keep the reader thoroughly engaged throughout. It’s also told through a perspective not often explored in a Western novel (apart from the Western romance subgenre, that is), which makes it a particularly unique experience. As one of the best Western books of all time, you can’t go wrong with this sweeping classic. Of the two major film adaptations, the 2010 picture by the Coen Brothers is the more faithful to the text.

‘Shane’ (1949)

Book cover of 'Shane' by Jack Schaefer

Another Western novel that made a major splash on the big screen, Shane is Jack Schaefer‘s claim to genre fame. Originally titled Rider from Nowhere, Shane was published in three parts in Argosy magazine before it hit mainstream shelves in 1949. Like the 1953 film of the same name (which boasts one of the greatest Western endings out there), it follows a drifting gunslinger as he finds himself in the middle of a land dispute in 1889 Wyoming Territory reminiscent of the Johnson County War.

Considered the “finest” Western novel by the Western Writers of America, Shane is a literary triumph that captures the pioneer spirit of the American West. Its lead character is all one could ask for in a Western protagonist who remains tough and firm yet showcases a tender heart for those in need, something perfectly translated to the screen in the Alan Ladd-led motion picture. As a serial, it was already good, but as a novel… Well, let’s just say that Shane changed the Western game forever — both on the page and the screen.

Your Partner Has Been Assigned
Your Perfect Partner Is…

Your answers have pointed to one action hero above all others. This is the person built to have your back — for better or considerably, spectacularly worse.

Rambo

Your partner doesn’t talk much, doesn’t need to, and will have assessed every threat in your immediate environment before you’ve finished your first sentence. John Rambo is not a man of plans or politics — he is a force of nature shaped by survival, loyalty, and a capacity for endurance that goes beyond anything training can produce. He will not leave you behind. He has never left anyone behind who deserved to come home. What you get with Rambo is the most capable, most quietly ferocious partner imaginable — one who has been through things that would have broken anyone else, and who chose to keep going anyway. You’ll never need to ask if he has your back. You’ll just know.

James Bond

Your partner will arrive perfectly dressed, perfectly briefed, and with a cover story so convincing it’ll take you a moment to remember what’s actually true. James Bond is the most professionally dangerous person in any room he enters — and the most disarmingly charming, which is the point. He operates in a world of layers, where nothing is what it appears and every advantage is used without apology. You’ll never be bored. You’ll occasionally be furious. But when it matters — when the mission is genuinely on the line and the margin for error has collapsed to nothing — Bond is exactly the partner you want. He has survived things that have no business being survivable. He does it with style. That is not nothing.

Indiana Jones

Your partner will know the history, the language, the cultural context, and exactly why the thing everyone else is ignoring is actually the most important thing in the room. Indiana Jones is brilliant, reckless, and occasionally impossible — but he is also one of the most resourceful, most genuinely knowledgeable partners you could find yourself beside. He approaches every situation with a scholar’s eye and a brawler’s instinct, which is an unusual combination and a remarkably effective one. He hates snakes and gets personally attached to objects of historical significance, both of which will slow you down at least once. It doesn’t matter. What Indy brings is irreplaceable — and the adventures you’ll have together will be the kind people write books about. Assuming you survive them.

John McClane

Your partner was not supposed to be here. He does not have the right equipment, the right information, or anything approaching the right odds. He has a sarcastic remark and an absolute refusal to accept that the situation is as bad as it looks. John McClane is the greatest accidental hero in the history of action cinema — a man whose superpower is stubbornness, whose contingency plan is improvisation, and whose capacity to absorb punishment and keep moving would be alarming if it weren’t so useful. He will complain the entire time. He will make it significantly more chaotic than it needed to be. And he will absolutely, unconditionally, without question come through when it counts. Yippee-ki-yay.

Ethan Hunt

Your partner has already run seventeen scenarios by the time you’ve finished reading the briefing, and the plan he’s settled on involves at least two things that should be physically impossible. Ethan Hunt operates at the absolute edge of human capability — technically, physically, and intellectually — and he brings the same relentless precision to protecting his partners that he brings to dismantling organisations that shouldn’t exist. He is not easy to know and he will never fully tell you everything. But he will carry the weight of the mission so completely, so absolutely, that your job is simply to trust him — and the remarkable thing is that trusting him always turns out to be the right call. The mission will be impossible. He will complete it anyway.

‘Open Season’ (2001)

Open Season' by C.J. Box
Open Season’ by C.J. Box
Image via Berkley

Admittedly, Open Season is a bit of an outlier on this list. With this C. J. Box novel (published in 2001), we’re treading into neo-Western territory, but considering that’s where much of the genre has turned to today, perhaps that’s not such a bad thing. The first in Box’s series of mystery novels following Wyoming Game Warden Joe Pickett (there are over 25 of them now), Open Season is a powerful introduction that speaks to the potential of the contemporary genre. Faithfully adapted in the first season of the short-lived Joe Pickett television series, Open Season is a clear-cut mystery that isn’t afraid to get Western.

Not only does the Pickett family stand out as a sort of modern take on Old West pioneers, but Joe himself is a traditional Western hero wrapped up in modern trimmings and trappings. As one of the great Western novels to be adapted on the small screen, you’ll find yourself at the edge of your seat as you plow through each short chapter. If you’re looking for more neo-Western fare after this, we recommend The Cold Dish by Craig Johnson, the first in a series of mystery novels that inspired the television hit Longmire.

‘Hondo’ (1953)

The cover for ‘Hondo’ by Louis L'Amour
The cover for ‘Hondo’ by Louis L’Amour
Image via Random House

No matter which of Louis L’Amour‘s seemingly endless collection of Western novels you choose, you’re in the right place. That said, if we had to pick only one to highlight the author’s Western prowess, we’d choose Hondo. Yes, Hondo, the novelization of the 1953 John Wayne film of the same name that was in turn inspired by L’Amour’s own short story “The Gift of Cochise.” This was the book that changed L’Amour’s career, even before the Sacketts became his main focus.

Not only is the novel better than the film, but Hondo perfectly blends the mythic Hollywood interpretation of the Old West with the harsh truths of frontier living. L’Amour fills out the characters and the world swimmingly as the title hero finds himself fighting for a married woman and her child who are in the middle of a conflict between the U.S. Cavalry and a band of Apaches. If you loved Hondo, give these other Louis L’Amour Westerns a try next!

‘Lonesome Dove’ (1985)

Lonesome Dove - book cover - 1985

Image via Simon & Schuster

You’ve likely been waiting for this one the entire time, but there’s something truly remarkable about Larry McMurtry‘s Lonesome Dove that you simply cannot understand apart from reading it. Sure, the epic CBS miniseries starring Tommy Lee Jones and Robert Duvall is a masterful adaptation that speaks straight to the heart of the novel, but McMurtry’s (sometimes long-winded) prose is so crisp that it’s difficult to put down. If you have yet to give this one a chance, wait no longer.

Published in 1985, Lonesome Dove follows former Texas Rangers Woodrow F. Call and Augustus “Gus” McCrae as they leave their border town in dusty Texas for the luscious Montana sky, chronicling all the trials they experience in between — they and a host of other cast members, of course. Not only is the 1989 television adaptation considered among the best Westerns ever made, but Lonesome Dove, the novel, is often deemed the greatest Western novel. If you love it, McMurtry penned a sequel, Streets of Laredo, and two prequel novels as well, each of which has likewise been adapted as a television miniseries.

Brand New Day’ Characters, Ranked

Liza Colón-Zayas smiling in The Bear Season 3 Episode 6

Five years and a million speculations later, MCU’s Spider-Man has returned with a brand-new story, new heroes and villains, and a new-ish Peter Parker in Destin Daniel Cretton‘s Spider-Man: Brand New Day. The fourth installment in the MCU Spider-Man film series following Spider-Man: No Way Home, Spider-Man: Brand New Day picks up four years after the events of the 2021 film, in which most of the world’s memories of Peter Parker were wiped, including those of Peter’s best friend, Ned, and his love interest, MJ, making him anonymous to almost everyone in his life.

In the latest film, Peter continues to protect New York City and investigates a powerful psychic threat on the rise, while also navigating a strange new metamorphosis within himself. Since its premiere, Spider-Man: Brand New Day has garnered widespread acclaim for the stellar production, spectacular action, and mature character arcs, headlined by Tom Holland’s in-depth performance. The latest Spider-Man installment also earned praise for its stacked cast, featuring familiar faces and a major new addition. Without further ado, here’s our ranking of every major character in Spider-Man: Brand New Day.

His primary contact in the police department, DeWolff helps fight crimes and keep the Big Apple safe. Alienated from his friends from the past, Peter finds a new friend in the detective, the closest to a mentor figure he has at the moment.

Emmy-winning star of The Bear, Liza Colón-Zayas portrays the character, playing a role in Peter’s life that has been popularly compared to that of Commissioner Gordon for Batman. Even though DeWolff does not know the person behind the mask, she feels concerned about Spidey’s obsession with his role in society and encourages the young vigilante to find balance in life.

The corrupt head of the Department of Damage Control, Metzger is in charge of policing superpowered individuals and exploits people’s fear of individuals with superpowers to target and control mutants.

After a breakout at the DODC facility, caused by an invisible threat, Metzger recruits Spider-Man to investigate what only he can sense and is immune to. Played by the Emmy-winning Tramell Tillman, the character is adapted from the original comic books for the MCU, but the cinematic interpretation is very different from his comic book counterpart.

Michael Mando returns to his role of Mac Gargan from 2017’s Spider-Man: Homecoming, evolving into a powerful, unpredictable villain. In the MCU, the character has only appeared twice, and only once in the live-action films, with an alternate version of the villain appearing in the 2025 animated series Your Friendly Neighborhood Spider-Man.

An original character of the MCU, Michelle Jones-Watson, or MJ, is Peter’s former classmate from high school and forever love interest, who briefly dated Peter before losing her memory of him following the events of No Way Home. Zendaya reprises her award-winning role from the previous films, but brings new dimensions to the character. In Brand New Day, MJ is now a student at MIT, alongside Peter’s former best friend, Ned, who is also her roommate.

The new version of MJ sees her in the tragic aftermath of the memory wipe but depicts the same intelligent, clever, and snarky personality as always. She has no recollection of her relationship with Peter or who he even is and has a new love interest, which creates further emotional conflicts, delivered through a very heartbreaking scene in the film.

Queens, New York

🕷️ Spider-Man

You carry the weight of the world on shoulders that are younger than they should have to be — funny, loyal, and endlessly self-sacrificing.

  • You do the right thing not because it’s easy, but because no one else will.
  • You understand that responsibility isn’t a burden you choose — it’s one that finds you.
  • Whether it’s a neighbourhood mugging or a multiverse crisis, you show up.
  • Peter Parker’s lesson — that great power demands great responsibility — isn’t a slogan to you. It’s the code you live by, even when it costs you everything.

Hell’s Kitchen, New York

😈 Daredevil

You fight in the shadows between law and chaos, guided by a fierce moral compass that refuses to let the guilty walk free.

  • You use every tool available — your mind, your body, your faith — to protect those the system overlooks.
  • You’ve looked into the darkness and chosen not to become it, though the line has never been easy.
  • Matt Murdock’s duality — champion in the courtroom, devil in the alley — mirrors your own.
  • Relentless, conflicted, and unwilling to stop. That is exactly you.

Stark Industries, Malibu

🤖 Iron Man

Brilliant, driven, and occasionally insufferable — but always the person who solves the unsolvable problem.

  • You lead with your mind and back it up with resources, innovation, and a stubbornness that borders on heroic.
  • You started out looking out for yourself, but somewhere along the way the world became your responsibility.
  • Tony Stark’s arc — from ego to sacrifice — is your arc too.
  • You build, you plan, and when the moment comes, you’re willing to give everything. Because in the end, you’re Iron Man.

New York City

💀 The Punisher

You’ve been through fire that would break most people — and it did change you, completely. What’s left is unyielding, relentless, and operating by a code forged in grief.

  • You don’t ask for forgiveness, and you don’t expect gratitude.
  • You see a corrupt, broken world and you’ve decided to do something about it, consequences be damned.
  • Frank Castle’s war is born from love twisted by loss — and so is yours.
  • Uncompromising and unflinching — the world may not agree with your methods, but your conviction is absolute.

Asgard · Protector of the Nine Realms

⚡ Thor

Powerful, proud, and on a lifelong journey to become worthy of the legend you carry.

  • You lead with strength but have learned — sometimes painfully — that true greatness comes from humility and growth.
  • You’re larger than life, yet more vulnerable than you let on.
  • Thor’s story is one of transformation: from arrogant prince to worthy king, from isolated warrior to beloved protector.
  • You bring the storm when it’s needed — and the warmth when it matters just as much.

Brooklyn, New York · The Avengers

🛡️ Captain America

You believe in something bigger than yourself — and you fight for it even when the world has moved on and nobody else will.

  • You don’t bully the small guy, and you never stop when it gets hard.
  • Steve Rogers didn’t become a hero when he got the serum — he was always one. So were you.
  • Your strength isn’t in your fists; it’s in your refusal to compromise what’s right, no matter the cost.
  • In a world full of people taking the easy road, you’re the one who picks up the shield and stands up — every single time.

Ned Leeds was once Peter’s best friend from high school and the first person (besides Tony Stark) to discover his identity as Spider-Man. Ned has appeared in six MCU films, including every MCU Spider-Man film, as the loyal, supportive, and nifty sidekick to the teenage vigilante. In Brand New Day, he is living a life mostly unaffected by Peter Parker’s absence, but he is a fan of the superhero Spider-Man.

Ned has now created a Spidey Tracker app that tracks all the hero’s movements with the hopes of finding out who Spider-Man is, which obviously becomes an important plot point in the story. Jacob Batalon reprises his role of Spidey’s best friend, now former friend, earning praise for his character’s emotional core and the heartfelt mystery surrounding his connection to Peter Parker.

The adoptive sister of the late Avenger Natasha Romanoff and a member of the New Avengers, Yelena Belova makes her third MCU appearance in Brand New Day. In her first-ever on-screen encounter with Spider-Man, the skilled Russian assassin helps the superhero with access to information that is often hard to get. Working out of a New York bathhouse, Yelena keeps an eye on Damage Control for Peter.

Even though she does not fight enemies alongside Peter, she plays an important strategic role, connecting Peter to the wider network of New Avengers. Following 2025’s Thunderbolts, Florence Pugh reprises her role of Yelena in Brand New Day, where she is now referred to as Black Widow, officially confirming her title and taking over Natasha Romanoff’s legacy.

Following a violent encounter with Spider-Man, he learns to warm up to him, despite being unaware of his true identity, offering support and helping the young superhero cope with his troubles. Through their constant squabbles, it becomes evident that they share deep emotional burdens, as both men grapple with grief and isolation.

Fresh off the heels of his latest appearance in The Punisher: One Last Kill, Jon Bernthal returns as the ruthless vigilante in Brand New Day, which also marks the first appearance of the character in the MCU films. The movie also features his iconic Battle Van from the comics, another first for the character’s live-action appearances.

Jean Grey

Played by Sadie Sink

The newest addition to the MCU and, so far, one of the most popular and powerful characters of Spider-Man: Brand New Day, Jean Grey is a mutant with psychokinetic and telepathic abilities, played by Stranger Things star Sadie Sink. Jean becomes the story’s main villain and Spider-Man’s nemesis as the shadowy, controlling force targeting Damage Control.

A member of the X-Men in the comics, the MCU’s Jean Grey is technically neither a superhero nor a supervillain, but rather a complex character who becomes antagonistic and vengeful due to a deep personal loss. Jean is able to control anyone’s mind she wishes, reading their deepest thoughts and forcing them to do whatever she wants. But somehow, Peter is immune to her abilities, which leads to further hostility between them and some visually stunning action pieces.

After nearly two decades and counting, The Hulk is still unarguably one of the most powerful and complex characters within Marvel’s Cinematic Universe. Introduced in 2008’s The Incredible Hulk, the Hulk has since appeared in 11 major live-action projects, becoming a central character within the MCU. Mark Ruffalo reprises his role of the genius scientist-turned-green humanoid, Bruce Banner/The Incredible Hulk.

Since Avengers: Endgame, Bruce has controlled his DNA mutation with Gamma radiation using an inhibitor device that turns him green but limits his physical and emotional transformation. In Brand New Day, Bruce is now a professor of quantum mechanics whom Peter seeks out for help with his evolving powers. While Bruce had successfully merged both his personas, turning him into Smart Hulk, Brand New Day also sees him regressing to his earlier destructive persona, Savage Hulk, last seen in Avengers: Infinity War.

Brittany Cartwright’s ‘WWHL’ Rant Backfires Online

Published

Brittany Cartwright at the 6th Daytime Beauty Awards

Brittany Cartwright seems to be getting the short end of the stick after outing her ex on TV!

The media personality recently called her ex, Jax Taylor, out during an appearance on “Watch What Happens Live.” She referenced his recent romantic affair with her former publicist, Lori Krebs, and accused him of prioritizing the relationship over parenting time with their son, Cruz.

Brittany Cartwright recently broke her silence about Jax Taylor’s relationship with her former publicist Lori Krebs in an interview, saying she hopes they are “absolutely miserable.”

Cartwright sat down with Andy Cohen on his late-night talk show, where she aired Taylor’s alleged offenses. She claimed that “he harasses me on our parenting app constantly” after she was asked if they had maintained communication in the face of the ongoing scandal.

“But he just kinda fights with himself on there,” she added, which caused the audience to erupt into laughter. Cohen commented on Taylor’s relationship with Krebs, asking whether they still see each other, to which the Bravo star replied: “I guess.”

She went on to reveal that the model missed his court-appointed scheduled parenting time with Cruz because he was in Canada with his new beau.

Later in the interview, Cartwright told the host that she had worked with Krebs for 10 years before the scandal. Cohen, who was in shock, inquired if there was a different timeline for the professional relationship between the former publicist and Taylor. The mom of one then confirmed that the trio started working together at the same time.

Is Jax ‘Her Entire Existence’ Like Fans Are Saying?

Internet users did not hold back from coming at Cartwright in the comments. They slammed the reality TV star for making “her entire existence” about her ex and his budding romance. Some suggested that she get a new hobby or brand deal to help take her mind off the scandal, stating, “It’s no longer giving hurt; it’s giving salty.”

“Brittany thrives on the drama. Jax is her storyline,” a fan wrote, while another added, “Time to move on, Brittany. This reality stuff really isn’t for you. It doesn’t make you look good.” Another netizen slammed her for playing the “eternal victim,” with another writing that nobody feels sorry for her.

Several users echoed similar sentiments, writing, “She has nothing else to talk about but Jax. Ugg!!!” “I feel zero sympathy for this girl,” and “She hasn’t a story without her ex.”

Other fans warned Cartwright of the future effects her statements may have on her son. They stressed that “trash-talking” a partner online and on national TV will do more harm than good to the kids they share in the near future.

Taylor is not letting Cartwright’s statements about her during her “WWHL” interview fly. The “Vanderpump Rules” alum commented on the Instagram post showing a clip from his ex’s interview. “The amount of blatant lies in this interview is unbelievable,” his comment began.

“I have NEVER missed my scheduled parenting time with Cruz. It’s public record that I have him every Wednesday and on weekends, and I was back in LA yesterday (Tuesday),” he continued.

US Weekly shared that Taylor also claimed that Cartwright refused to let him spend time with their son because she is angry over personal matters. His comment also revealed that the estranged lovers have an emergency court hearing the next day because she continues to “weaponize” Cruz against him.

The model claimed to have receipts to back up all his statements and promised to reveal the truth about the situation when he finally has the opportunity to speak.

Before the interview with Cohen, the mom of one spilled the tea on her thoughts concerning her ex and former publicist’s relationship. She said she felt taken advantage of by two people who were very close to her and important to her.

Cartwright also slammed Taylor as a “narcissist” and Krebs as a “snake” who loved to be the center of attention. “I never wish bad for anybody, but they have to be absolutely miserable. And I hope they are,” the Bravo star expressed.

The reality star had previously prepared fans’ minds for her narrative after headlines about Taylor and the LoriK PR founder made waves last month. The Blast reported that she had promised her podcast listeners that she would be “speaking her truth” when she was fully ready to talk about the shocking situation.

Brittany Cartwright Reportedly Working Behind The Scenes Against Jax Taylor

According to sources familiar with the situation, Cartwright has made it adamantly clear that she does not want to share the spotlight with her ex. She is reportedly frustrated about Taylor’s return to reality TV and is not hiding it.

As a new season of “The Valley” is already underway, she has allegedly declared her stance to the crew, stating that she has no interest in sharing the spotlight with Taylor or getting entangled in unnecessary drama.

The Bravo star is said to be focused and intentional about protecting her peace rather than revisiting past pain. She feels betrayed by her longtime friend and former partner, and the scandal seems to put her in a tight spot.

The Blast noted that producers are now trying to determine what the next chapter of “The Valley” will look like with Cartwright’s decision and the support of other castmates.

Whew, Roomies! Mz. Shyneka Richardson has entered the chat after Claressa Shields called her out for previously asking a question that she felt was “distasteful.” Mz. Shyneka hopped online with a video addressing Shields’ comments. She also shared how she plans to move forward after their viral chat on Streetz 94.5 FM. And that’s not all — the radio host teased her next interview, revealing that she plans to sit down with Remy Ma.

RELATED: Oop! Eva Marcille Defends Mz. Shyneka After Claressa Shields Blasts Radio Host Over Papoose Interview Question (VIDEO)

Mz. Shyneka Richardson Enters The Chat After Claressa Shields’ Viral Callout

Recently, Mz. Shyneka Richardson revealed that Claressa Shields sent alleged threats to her through people she works with after their viral interview. She said she doesn’t understand how a simple interview turned into Claressa wanting to fight her. Shyneka also revealed that she reached out to her lawyer after claiming Shields “led on her.” From there, Richardson made it clear that she’s done speaking on the drama with Shields. She added that she never planned to get on the radio or any social platform to drag her online.

“Girl, we are not talking about it no more. I am going to shut it ALL THE WAY DOWN!” Richardson added, “I am not Michelle Obama […] I am not this cookie cutter. I am myself at all times! I wasn’t going to get on the radio dragging and doing all of this, but I mean it’s kind of getting out of hand.”

Shyneka Teases Remy Ma Interview & Plans To Get Her Side Of Her Split With Papoose

While addressing Claressa, Shyneka also said she’s tired of people bringing up Remy Ma. The radio host explained that if she interviewed Remy, she would also ask for her side of the story about her and Papoose’s split. “If I was interviewing Remy, then me and Remy would’ve had a conversation, because I want to know the back story of this relationship that we felt was a beautiful Black love story.” With that said, Shyneka teased that fans can look out for a Remy Ma interview soon. She revealed that she plans to sit down with the rapper in a weeks since she’s been working on new music.

Things Got Heated After Shyneka Put Claressa In The Hot Seat

As TSR previously reported, the drama between Claressa and Shyneka started after Claresa appeared on Streetz 94.5 FM. During the interview, Shyneka asked Shields, “How much longer are you willing to be in a relationship with somebody’s husband?” Shortly after the interview aired, Shields hopped on a livestream and popped off on the radio host. The boxer called out Shyneka for being disrespectful and accused her of cheating on her own husband.

“But didn’t you just go through a divorce because you cheated on your man? So, you are a part of the cheat-on-my-husband committee. You the leader of this s**t. Or is you the CEO?”

From there, Shields doubled down on her stance that she isn’t involved with a married man. She explained that both she and Papoose consider him separated because he filed for divorce.

“So I, US, WE! Do not considered him a married man. He’s a separated man going through a divorce.” Shields continued, “But you sit on here and cheat on your husband with a barber.”

Shields also told Shyneka to hold Remy Ma accountable, adding that if she calls Papoose “her husband,” then she should also call Remy “his wife.” “So, I’m not with somebody’s husband and if you’re going to call him her husband, make sure you call her his wife and also hold her accountable for what she’s doing in her life,” Shields added.

Tupac Murder Suspect Keefe D Rejects Plea Deal Ahead Of Trial

Published

on

Duane 'Keefe D' Davis arrested over murder of legendary rapper Tupac Shakur

Duane “Keefe D” Davis, the man charged in connection with the 1996 drive-by killing of rap icon Tupac Shakur, has rejected a plea deal offered by Nevada prosecutors ahead of his long-awaited trial.

Maintaining his innocence, Keefe D claims the seemingly incriminating statements he made over the years were driven by money rather than truth. He also identified the person he believes was responsible for Tupac’s murder.

Tupac Shakur’s murder suspect Keefe D has rejected a plea deal from prosecutors, choosing instead to head to court in an effort to clear his name.

In a recent interview with 8 News Now, he insisted he never committed the crime and saw no reason to accept a plea deal that would still leave him spending decades behind bars.

“I didn’t do nothing,” Davis said. “I’m 63. I had a cancer battle. And I got three stents to my heart, and the average American lives like 74 years old. Ten years, I’m dead.”

He continued, “So why would I take a deal? I heard it was, like, 10 and 25. I’m not going to do that. I’m not going to take a deal like that. Especially after I haven’t done it. I’m an innocent man.”

Prosecutors Point To Keefe D’s 2008 Confession

Tupac was shot multiple times on September 7, 1996, near the Las Vegas Strip following the heavyweight boxing match between Mike Tyson and Bruce Seldon at the MGM Grand Garden Arena in Las Vegas.

He died six days later at the age of 25. Death Row Records founder Marion “Suge” Knight, who was driving the black BMW carrying the rapper, was grazed by a bullet and survived.

Although investigators worked the case for decades, it took a dramatic turn in 2023 when Keefe D was arrested in connection with the drive-by shooting.

Authorities have pointed to an infamous 2008 interview, arguing Davis repeatedly admitted to his role in the killing. A judge recently ruled prosecutors can introduce the interview as evidence during trial.

Keefe D Says He Only Did The Interview For Money

However, Keefe D has consistently argued that statements he made in past interviews, documentaries, and his 2019 self-published memoir were sensationalized and financially motivated.

He insists money was the driving force and claims ghostwriters and producers played a major role in shaping the narrative he shared at the time.

“I was just after the money, and they said I was covered,” he claimed.

Addressing the memoir investigators continue to cite, he said, “I did it for the money… That was the ghostwriters that did it. I didn’t write that book. Just read the book. You know I didn’t write that book.”

He also claimed people scripted his interviews to fit a particular narrative, including one with DJ Vlad.

“And the Vlad thing, the lady, she gave me $150,000. They wrote me a script to follow. My lawyer came with the script, and it seemed like he was in bed with them the whole time,” he added.

Keefe D also pointed the finger at former Death Row Records security chief Reggie Wright Jr., saying he believes Wright was responsible for Tupac’s murder.

He offered no evidence to support the allegation, instead accusing Wright of lying to investigators and threatening his family during media appearances.

Keefe D also claimed the former security chief was the person who first brought his name into the investigation.

When asked who killed Tupac, Davis said the information gathered by investigators points to Wright. Keefe D has raised the alternate suspect theory before, but Wright has consistently denied the allegations, including before a grand jury.

Wright testified that he was handling logistics for Tupac and Marion “Suge” Knight that night and claimed Keefe D is merely attempting to divert attention from his own case.

The case is now set to head to trial, where Keefe D faces a charge of murder with a deadly weapon with a gang enhancement.

Barring any further delays, the trial begins on August 10, with opening statements expected later in the month.

The Clark County District Attorney’s Office recently filed a 16-page witness list containing more than 200 potential witnesses.

According to KSNV 3 News, the filing includes law enforcement officials, expert witnesses, and several industry figures, including Suge Knight, who was riding with Tupac the night of the shooting.

Former Las Vegas Mayor Oscar Goodman also appears on the list, along with Nevada Governor Joe Lombardo, who served with the Las Vegas Metropolitan Police Department when the investigation first began.

Piper Rockelle Reveals The Real Reason She Joined OF

Piper Rockelle Reveals The Real Reason She Joined OF

Piper Rockelle says her controversial move to OF was not made out of desperation or immediately after she became a legal adult. During an appearance on Holly Madison’s podcast, the former child influencer reflected on how the demonetization of her YouTube channel altered her career and ultimately led her toward adult subscription content.

Rockelle acknowledged that the decision might never make her critics or even herself completely happy. However, she insisted that she spent a year rebuilding her life and several months considering the consequences before launching the account.

Rockelle rose to fame creating family-friendly YouTube videos before the platform demonetized her channel in 2022. The loss left her without the revenue source that had supported her online career and forced her to consider a different direction.

“I do always think about what if my YouTube did not get demonetized, would I be in a different situation?” she told Madison. “I probably would still be doing YouTube.”

Although Rockelle believes she might have remained a YouTuber under different circumstances, she denied that immediate financial distress drove her to OF. “It wasn’t like a desperate, in need kind of thing,” she explained. “I took a whole year off to get myself together, and I kind of just decided that I have this great opportunity.”

The influencer framed her new career as a calculated opportunity that became available after her original path was disrupted.

The Influencer Admits The Decision May Not Make Her Happy

Rockelle did not attempt to present OF as an uncomplicated or universally empowering choice. Instead, she admitted that the platform carries consequences she may continue processing as she gets older. “It’s not going to make people happy,” she said. “It might not even make me happy. But I think I have a plan, and I just did it.”

Rockelle also acknowledged benefiting from the large audience she built while creating content as a child. “I’m just in a lucky position that I had a little bit of a known name, and that’s why it performs well,” she explained.

Rockelle opened her OF account on January 1, several months after turning 18 in August 2025. She subsequently shared what appeared to be a screenshot showing approximately $2.9 million in first-day earnings, although that figure was not independently verified.

Piper Rockelle Pushes Back On ‘Fresh 18’ Criticism

Rockelle’s age became one of the most controversial aspects of her OF launch. Critics argued that the timing appeared uncomfortable because audiences had watched her grow up online. Rockelle, however, emphasized that she did not open the account on her 18th birthday.

“A lot of people are always like, ‘It was fresh 18, yada yada,’ and I do regret not just dropping when I was 18 because, I mean, I’m doing okay so far,” she said. “But I took some time to think about it.”

The influencer explained that she needed to understand the realities of entering an industry with consequences that could follow her permanently. “I wanted to make sure I was doing the right thing and understand what I was getting myself into because it’s a very, very gray area, and I do not wish that on anyone,” she said.

She Previously Told The Blast The Backlash Was Expected

Rockelle first signaled her transition into adult content through Fanvue before opening her OF account. Speaking exclusively with The Blast last December, she insisted that the public reaction did not catch her by surprise. “People act like I didn’t think this through,” Rockelle said. “I knew exactly what would happen the second I hinted at Fanvue. I was prepared for it.”

The announcement surprised longtime viewers who remembered her as a young YouTube personality, but Rockelle maintained that she had mentally prepared herself for the criticism. Rather than immediately sharing a direct link, she initially teased the account while continuing to consider whether she could accept everything the decision might cost her.

Rockelle previously told The Blast that her hesitation was intentional, describing the delay as an opportunity to evaluate whether adult content was truly the future she wanted.

“I didn’t even drop the actual link the first time,” she explained. “I wanted to be sure this was the lifestyle I wanted. I knew I’d lose people, I’d be judged, and I’d be giving up the version of me that people wanted to hold onto.”

Despite admitting that OF exists within a “very, very gray area,” Rockelle has described adulthood as liberating. The influencer said people close to her noticed a change after she began making decisions without attempting to satisfy the expectations of her longtime audience.

“I’ve been told by people close to me that I’ve finally stepped into myself,” she told The Blast. “For the first time, I’m not hiding behind what everyone else expects.”
