Married at First Sight’s Ryan de Nino has died. He was 40.

A family member told TMZ on Friday, August 14 that the reality TV personality died “suddenly” in New Jersey “earlier this week.”

The family will not be releasing any additional details about Ryan’s death, according to the outlet.

Ryan’s sister Melissa paid tribute to her late brother via Facebook on Tuesday, August 11.

“Ryan was so damn funny and witty. He was fiercely loyal to those he loved. He had a huge heart, always. I can’t explain what it’s like to lose a sibling,” she wrote. “Someone who’s been there from the beginning and shares the same memories. No matter what we were going through, I loved him immensely. Life as I know it will never be the same.”

Along with Melissa’s heartfelt words were a series of photos of Ryan and Melissa over the years, including from their childhood.

The post’s comments section was filled with words of support for Melissa following Ryan’s death.

“Oh my gosh, my heart breaks hearing this. I am so incredibly sorry, he was so funny and witty and the world was lucky to have him,” wrote one person.

Another added, “Melissa everything you said about your brother is true. Incredible potential with a great heart. I miss him so much. I smile when I think of him.”

Ryan participated in season 2 of Married at First Sight, which was filmed in 2014 and aired on Lifetime in 2015.

The business owner was matched with law firm receptionist Jessica Castro and the pair endured a tumultuous relationship throughout the reality show.

Despite their rocky relationship, Ryan and Jessica chose to stay together at the end of the season.

“I come from a family of long successful marriages,” Jessica said on the show at the time. “The word ‘divorce’ just doesn’t fall into my lifestyle.”

However, their relationship turned even more volatile after cameras stopped rolling, with Jessica calling it off after Ryan was reportedly unfaithful. She also filed a protection order against Ryan after he made threats against her, including while filming a Married At First Sight reunion show six months after their wedding.

“She’s f**king dead. When I get back to Brooklyn, she’s f**king dead, this girl,” Ryan said, while wearing a live mic. (Following the cast member’s threat, the show’s producers provided Castro with a security team.)

Kinetic Content, the production company behind Married at First Sight, could not comment on the specifics of the couple’s dispute at the time, but told Us that after-care is provided to all contestants.

“The experts on our show have the best of intentions and highest hopes for success for each couple. After undergoing extensive background and psychological checks by third parties, couples agree to be legally married on our show,” their statement in 2015 read. “We document their journey for six weeks after their wedding, but we can’t control how they behave, or govern their actions after production.”

Doomsday Special Look at D23

Marvel Studios has officially introduced the next generation of the X-Men.

During the studio’s massive D23 2026 presentation, Marvel Studios president Kevin Feige revealed the principal cast of the upcoming X-Men movie, confirming several long-rumored names while also delivering a few major surprises.

The new lineup will feature Sadie Sink as Jean Grey, Kit Connor as Scott Summers/Cyclops, Christopher Abbott as Charles Xavier/Professor X, Samara Weaving as Emma Frost, Inde Navarrette as Rogue, Maya Boyd as Ororo Munroe/Storm and Adam Driver as Nathaniel Essex/Mister Sinister.

The cast officially announced by Marvel Studios includes:

  • Sadie Sink — Jean Grey
  • Kit Connor — Scott Summers/Cyclops
  • Christopher Abbott — Charles Xavier/Professor X
  • Samara Weaving — Emma Frost
  • Inde Navarrette — Rogue
  • Maya Boyd — Ororo Munroe/Storm
  • Adam Driver — Nathaniel Essex/Mister Sinister

The announcement confirms Sink and Connor as two of the central members of Marvel’s new mutant generation. Sink’s Jean Grey has already begun making her way into the larger MCU through Spider-Man: Brand New Day, while Connor will take over the role of Cyclops, the longtime field leader of the X-Men.

Abbott will become the MCU’s new Professor Charles Xavier, following the character’s previous live-action portrayals by Patrick Stewart and James McAvoy.

Weaving joins the franchise as Emma Frost, one of the most complicated characters in X-Men history. Also known as the White Queen, Frost has operated as both an adversary and ally of the X-Men throughout Marvel Comics and eventually became one of the team’s most prominent members.

Navarrette will take on Rogue, the powerful mutant capable of absorbing the memories, abilities and powers of others through physical contact. Boyd, meanwhile, will portray Storm, the weather-controlling mutant who has long been one of the most recognizable and important members of the X-Men.

Perhaps the biggest announcement is Driver, who will portray Mister Sinister.

The longtime X-Men villain, whose real name is Nathaniel Essex, is a brilliant geneticist obsessed with mutant evolution and experimentation. Mister Sinister has repeatedly manipulated the lives and genetics of the X-Men in Marvel Comics, with Cyclops and Jean Grey playing particularly important roles in many of his stories.

Driver’s casting also finally brings Mister Sinister properly to the big screen after years of teases during Fox’s X-Men era that never resulted in a full live-action appearance.

The new X-Men will be directed by Jake Schreier, who previously directed Marvel Studios’ Thunderbolts*. The film represents a major step in Marvel’s plans for mutants following the conclusion of the Multiverse Saga.

Marvel has spent the last several years gradually introducing mutants while simultaneously bringing back actors from Fox’s original X-Men movies. Patrick Stewart, Ian McKellen, James Marsden, Rebecca Romijn, Alan Cumming and Kelsey Grammer are among the legacy X-Men stars appearing in Avengers: Doomsday.

Those returning characters could help close the door on the previous generation of X-Men before Marvel Studios fully moves forward with its newly assembled team.

With Jean Grey, Cyclops, Professor X, Emma Frost, Rogue and Storm now confirmed, Marvel has revealed a significant portion of its core X-Men roster. However, several major characters, including Wolverine, Beast, Nightcrawler and Magneto, have yet to be announced for the reboot.

Marvel Studios’ X-Men is scheduled to hit theaters on May 5, 2028.

Taylor Swift Unveils New Wife Look After Travis Kelce Wedding

Published

Taylor Swift and Travis Kelce Depart Or'esh Restaurant in NYC

Taylor Swift has debuted a new look weeks after she got hitched to NFL star Travis Kelce at Madison Square Garden in New York City.

The duo has made few public appearances since their wedding, which made the pop superstar’s recent outing with a new hairdo all the more striking.

It comes after it was revealed that Taylor Swift and Travis Kelce are set to face “big changes” in their marital life after coming down from the high of their massive MSG nuptials and subsequent honeymoon.

The “New Romantics” singer turned heads after unveiling a hair transformation during an outing in London.

It marked her first solo trip as a married woman following her historic Madison Square Garden wedding to NFL star Travis Kelce.

In her latest outing, Swift looked chic and stunning while exiting Annabel’s, a private members’ club in Mayfair that is usually frequented by British royals and A-list stars.

She wore a short flower-print dress with her locks down to her shoulders to highlight her new haircut, as seen in photos obtained by the Daily Mail.

The trip comes weeks after she and her husband, Kelce, broke cover following their nuptials by attending the wedding ceremony of former Kansas City Chiefs player JuJu Smith-Schuster.

For the event, Swift donned a pink long gown reminiscent of the dress she wore for her recent outing and also flaunted what many believed to be her expensive and massive wedding ring.

The Singer Has Plans To Release Her Wedding Visuals, As An Insider Shares ‘Major Clue’

It’s been over a month since Swift and Kelce tied the knot, and yet, no official photos from the event have been released, which has left many stunned.

Unlike most celebrities who quickly release images and clips of their wedding ceremony to publications such as People Magazine and Vogue, the singer and footballer seem to be keeping theirs tightly under lock and key.

However, according to an insider, Swift has plans to eventually release visuals from her wedding, noting that she is holding all her images for a special project.

“A big hint that Taylor is going to release her very own project about her wedding is that she has yet to share one single image from the night,” the source said, per the Daily Mail. “By now most celebrities would have posted a wedding look on Instagram or given photos to Vogue. But Taylor has done neither.”

The source continued, “She is holding all the images for her own project, no doubt. She released images from her engagement to Instagram; why won’t she release images from her wedding? So that is a major clue.”

Resurfaced claims about Swift’s alleged plans to release her wedding footage come after an insider clarified that speculation surrounding a potential documentary holds “no truth.”

Although professionals were hired to capture the festivities, the resulting media is said to be strictly meant to preserve personal memories and is expected to stay out of the public eye.

Speaking to Us Weekly about the wedding visuals, the source noted, “They had it documented for themselves but are keeping it private.”

On July 3, Swift and Kelce officially tied the knot in New York City, hosting an extravagant gala with a guest list of roughly 1,000 close friends and relatives.

The grand celebration, held at the iconic Madison Square Garden, was filled with customized details highlighting the couple’s unique shared journey.

The lead-up to the couple’s wedding was full of heavy speculation and rumors, with neither Swift nor Kelce sharing any official information about their big day to the public.

In fact, there were reports that guests were made to sign strict NDAs to ensure no one leaked details about the duo’s nuptials.

Now, over a month after the event, Kelce finally broke his silence about his “crazy” wedding, branding it the “best night” of his life.

“It was a fun offseason, man, wedding was the best night of my life and I appreciate everyone who came out and celebrated and had fun with us,” the 36-year-old said during a chat with reporters.

He added, “That’s about all I really got from that night. It was a crazy night. It was full of a lot of celebration. But it’s football, baby.”

Following their extravagant New York wedding, Swift and Kelce are now reportedly adjusting to a major shift in routine as they transition “back to reality.”

Since tying the knot, the newlyweds have maintained a remarkably quiet presence. Aside from their joint appearance at Juju Smith-Schuster’s wedding just a week after their own ceremony, the public has caught few glimpses of the couple.

An insider shared insight with Star Magazine regarding how the pair is navigating this post-festivity period.

According to the source, Kelce is “back to being ultra disciplined with his diet and sleep schedule and training. It’s very full-on,” while Swift “knows what to expect and she’s totally happy to support him.”

Melding the rigors of the professional football season with the aftermath of a massive celebration marks a stark contrast for the couple. As the informant noted, “there’s no doubt it’s a big change to go from indulging non-stop to not even having a glass of wine with dinner.”

Netflix Is Officially Losing Brad Pitt’s $100M Sports Blockbuster

Published

on

01259368_poster_w780.jpg

Brad Pitt fans have been on a tear in the last few years, especially in 2025, when he starred in one of the biggest blockbusters of the year with F1. Built as a racing version of Top Gun: Maverick, F1 grossed over $600 million at the box office during its theatrical run, making it the highest-grossing movie of Pitt’s career. He has two new movies coming out later this year, including Heart of the Beast, the new action thriller co-starring J.K. Simmons and directed by David Ayer. The film is coming to theaters on September 25, followed by The Adventures of Cliff Booth, which will see Pitt return to his only Oscar-winning role. Quentin Tarantino penned the script for the Once Upon a Time… in Hollywood spin-off movie, which launches in IMAX in November before coming to Netflix one month later.

Pitt’s only acting Oscar came from playing Cliff Booth in the 2019 showbiz epic, but many fans felt that he deserved the award for his performance in Moneyball, the 2011 baseball biopic co-starring Jonah Hill and the late Philip Seymour Hoffman. In the last few months, Moneyball has been streaming exclusively on Netflix, but this won’t be the case for much longer. Netflix recently confirmed that Moneyball is leaving the streaming platform at the end of the month, meaning that the last day to watch the film will be on August 31. A new streaming home for Moneyball has not yet been announced, but considering its popularity and with Pitt having two new movies coming out this year, it’s a safe bet that it will return to another streaming platform.

The Academy Has Decided
Your Perfect Film Is…

Your answers have pointed to one Oscar Best Picture winner above all others. This is the film that was made for the way your mind works.

Parasite

You are drawn to films that operate on multiple levels simultaneously — that begin in one genre and quietly, brilliantly migrate into another. Bong Joon-ho’s Parasite is a film about class, desire, and the architecture of inequality that manages to be darkly funny, deeply suspenseful, and genuinely shocking across a single extraordinary running time. Your instinct is for cinema that hides its true intentions until the moment it’s ready to reveal them. Parasite is exactly that — a film that rewards close attention and punishes assumptions, right up to its devastating final image.

Everything Everywhere All at Once

You want it all — and this film gives you all of it. The Daniels’ Everything Everywhere All at Once is one of the most maximalist films ever made: action comedy, multiverse sci-fi, family drama, existential crisis, and a genuinely earned emotional core that sneaks up on you amid the chaos. You are someone who responds to ambition, who doesn’t want cinema to choose between being entertaining and being meaningful. This film refuses that choice entirely. It is overwhelming by design, and its overwhelming nature is precisely the point — because the feeling of being crushed by infinite possibility is exactly what it’s about.

Oppenheimer

You are drawn to cinema on a grand scale — films that understand history not as a backdrop but as a force, and that place their characters inside that force and watch what happens. Christopher Nolan’s Oppenheimer is a film about the terrifying gap between what we can do and what we should do, told with the full weight of one of the most consequential moments in human history behind it. You want your films to feel important without feeling self-important — to earn their ambition through sheer craft and the gravity of their subject. Oppenheimer does exactly that. It is enormous, complicated, and refuses easy comfort.

Birdman

You are drawn to films that foreground their own construction — that make the how of the filmmaking part of the what it’s about. Alejandro González Iñárritu’s Birdman, shot to appear as a single continuous take, is cinema examining itself through the cracked mirror of a fading actor’s ego. You respond to formal daring, to the feeling that a film is doing something that probably shouldn’t be possible. Michael Keaton’s performance and Emmanuel Lubezki’s restless camera create something genuinely unlike anything else — a film that is simultaneously about creativity, relevance, self-destruction, and the impossibility of ever truly knowing if your work means anything at all.

No Country for Old Men

You are drawn to cinema that trusts silence, that refuses to explain itself, and that treats dread as a form of meaning. The Coen Brothers’ No Country for Old Men is a film about the arrival of a new kind of evil — implacable, arbitrary, and utterly indifferent to the moral frameworks we use to make sense of the world. It is one of the most formally controlled films ever made, and its controlled restraint is what makes it so terrifying. You want your films to haunt you, not comfort you. You are not interested in resolution if resolution would be dishonest. No Country for Old Men is honest in a way that most cinema never dares to be.

What Is ‘Moneyball’ About?

The official synopsis for Moneyball, which holds scores of 94% from critics and 86% from audiences on Rotten Tomatoes, reads as follows: “Brad Pitt stars as Billy Beane, the Oakland A’s general manager who refuses to accept defeat against baseball’s richest teams. Partnering with a Yale economics grad (Jonah Hill), Beane builds a roster of undervalued players using groundbreaking statistical analysis, defying old-school scouts and conventional wisdom. Together, they challenge the game’s oldest traditions — and threaten to change the sport forever.” The film carried a $50 million budget into theaters, and it narrowly turned a profit thanks to its $113 million global box office performance. Bennett Miller directed Moneyball with a script from Steven Zaillian, Aaron Sorkin, and Stan Chervin, and the film is based on the book Moneyball: The Art of Winning an Unfair Game. Moneyball was nominated for six Oscars, but it failed to win any.

Check out Moneyball before it’s removed from Netflix at the end of this month and stay tuned to Collider for more updates and coverage of Brad Pitt’s future projects.

Marvel Officially Reveals New Professor X

A new generation of mutants needs its leader, and just as Captain America has run the Avengers, just as Reed Richards has run the Fantastic Four, and just as Yelena Belova has, well, run a bath in New York, so has Charles Xavier run the X-Men for generations. One of the most iconic characters in comic book history, there is now a new man in the chair.

Christopher Abbott has officially been cast as Xavier, better known as Professor X, in Marvel Studios’ upcoming X-Men reboot. Abbott becomes the latest actor to take on the enormously important Marvel character following Patrick Stewart and James McAvoy, who portrayed different generations of Xavier across 20th Century Fox’s X-Men franchise.

Abbott has quietly established himself as one of Hollywood’s most interesting performers over the past decade. He earned a Golden Globe nomination for Catch-22, starred opposite Emma Stone in Yorgos Lanthimos’ Poor Things, and recently transformed into the title character for Leigh Whannell’s Wolf Man. Now, he’s getting the keys to Xavier’s School for Gifted Youngsters. Director Jake Schreier, fresh from helming Thunderbolts*, is directing Marvel’s reboot, with Lee Sung Jin (Beef) and Joanna Calo (The Bear) writing the screenplay.

Your Fate Has Been Calculated
You’d Survive In…

Your answers point to the world your instincts were built for. This is the universe your temperament, your survival instincts, and your particular brand of stubbornness were made for.

The Resistance, Zion

The Matrix

You took the red pill a long time ago — probably before anyone offered it to you. You’re a systems thinker who can’t help but notice the seams in things.

  • You’re drawn to understanding how the system works before figuring out how to break it.
  • You’d find the Resistance, or it would find you — your instinct for spotting constructed realities is the machines’ worst nightmare.
  • You function best when you have access to information and the freedom to act on it.
  • The Matrix built an airtight prison. You’d be the one probing the walls for the door.

The Wasteland

Mad Max

The wasteland doesn’t reward the clever or the well-connected — it rewards those who are hard to kill and harder to break. That’s you.

  • You don’t need comfort, community, or a cause larger than the next horizon.
  • You need a vehicle, a clear threat, and enough fuel to outrun it — and you’re good at all three.
  • You are unsentimental enough to survive that world, and decent enough — just barely — to be something more than another raider.
  • In the wasteland, that distinction is everything.

Los Angeles, 2049

Blade Runner

You’d survive here because you know how to exist in moral grey areas without losing yourself completely.

  • You read people accurately, keep your circle small, and ask the questions others prefer not to answer.
  • In a city where humanity is a legal designation rather than a feeling, you hold onto something that keeps you functional.
  • You’re not a hero. But you’re not lost, either.
  • In Blade Runner’s world, that distinction is everything.

Arrakis

Dune

Arrakis is the most hostile environment in the known universe — and you are precisely the kind of person it rewards.

  • Patience, discipline, and political awareness are your core strengths — and on Arrakis, they’re survival tools.
  • You understand that the long game matters more than any single victory.
  • Others come to Dune and are consumed by it. You’d learn its logic and earn its respect.
  • In time, you wouldn’t just survive Arrakis — you’d begin to reshape it.

A Galaxy Far, Far Away

Star Wars

The galaxy far, far away is vast, loud, and in a constant state of violent political upheaval — and you wouldn’t have it any other way.

  • You find meaning in being part of something larger than yourself — a cause, a crew, a rebellion.
  • You’d gravitate toward the Rebellion, or the fringes, or whatever pocket of the galaxy still believes the Empire’s grip can be broken.
  • You fight — not because you have to, but because standing aside isn’t something you’re capable of.
  • In Star Wars, that willingness is what makes all the difference.

Who Is Charles Xavier in the ‘X-Men’ Comics?

Created by Stan Lee and Jack Kirby, Charles Xavier debuted alongside his students in X-Men #1 in 1963 and is one of the foundational characters of the entire franchise. Xavier is an enormously powerful telepath who decides to establish his school in order to create a world in which humans and mutants can co-exist which, to the surprise of nobody, proves to be a pipe dream. Xavier is famous for using Cerebro, his own developed technology which can detect any mutant across enormous distances.

Abbott will also be following two performances that defined the character for generations of moviegoers. Stewart first played Xavier in 2000’s X-Men before returning throughout the original franchise and eventually entering the MCU as a variant in Doctor Strange in the Multiverse of Madness. Indeed, Stewart will be reprising the role for a final time (surely) in Avengers: Doomsday. McAvoy subsequently took over as the younger Xavier beginning with X-Men: First Class in 2011.

Marvel Studios’ X-Men opens on May 5, 2028.

Megan Fox’s 2-Word Relationship Message Is Turning Heads

Megan Fox turned a sultry Instagram photoshoot into a possible message about what she wants from her relationships. The 40-year-old actress posed in a barely-there black ensemble beside a Mercedes-Benz G-Wagon, but it was her short caption about “intellectual compatibility” that sparked speculation that she was addressing her romantic past. Fox did not identify Machine Gun Kelly, Brian Austin Green, or any other former partner in the post, leaving the meaning behind her message open to interpretation.

Fox shared two nighttime photographs with her 24 million Instagram followers on Thursday. The “Transformers” star wore a tiny PVC bandeau top with a black thong and leather chaps. She completed the daring look with fuzzy over-the-knee boots and a bright green coat draped off her shoulders.

Rather than discussing the outfit, Fox captioned the post, “intellectual compatibility >>.” Her post received more than one million likes, while comments ranged from praise for the actress’ appearance to criticism of the revealing outfit.

The wording quickly inspired theories that the actress was subtly outlining what she felt had been missing from her previous relationships. However, Fox did not explicitly connect the statement to either of her famous exes.

The cryptic caption arrived nearly a month after Fox directly brought her former partners into another heated Instagram exchange. In July, the actress shared a collection of photographs showing her posing in sheer black lingerie and a dramatically long veil.

While many fans praised the images, one user attacked Fox for sharing the revealing photos as a mother in her 40s. “This sh-t is so unbelievably embarrassing for a 40-year-old mom to be posting. 16-year-old Tumblr sh-t,” the Instagram user commented.

Fox responded by asking, “Which one of my exes is this?”

Fox was most recently involved with Machine Gun Kelly, whose real name is Colson Baker. The two began dating in 2020 after meeting while working on the film “Midnight in the Switchgrass.” They became engaged in January 2022, although Fox later confirmed in 2024 that their engagement had ended. Their relationship reportedly came to an end in late 2024, shortly after Fox announced that they were expecting their first child together.

Fox gave birth to their daughter, Saga Blade Fox-Baker, in March 2025. The former couple has since been seen together, although neither has publicly confirmed that they have resumed their romantic relationship. Reports that Fox later blocked MGK following one of their reunions have not been publicly confirmed by either star.

Machine Gun Kelly also appears to be reflecting on the end of his relationship with Fox through his new album, “Lost Americana.” On the track “Treading Water,” the musician seemingly accepts responsibility for a fractured relationship, singing, “I broke this home.”

The vulnerable song also includes references to packing suitcases around the holidays, potentially connecting it to reports that he and Fox separated shortly before Thanksgiving. “I’m lookin’ at the kids’ faces / Sittin’ in the driveway while I pack up suitcases / I just ruined their holiday, and lies don’t die, they grow,” he sings.

MGK then appears to reference the former couple’s daughter, Saga Blade, as he promises to change for her. “I broke this home, but I’ll change for our daughter, so she’s not alone,” he sings.

Brian Austin Green Recently Reflected On Their Marriage

Before her relationship with MGK, Fox was married to “Beverly Hills, 90210” actor Brian Austin Green. Fox met Green when she was 18, and he was 30. They married in 2010 and welcomed three sons: Noah, Bodhi and Journey.

Green recently revisited the beginning of their relationship and reportedly admitted that he “led with physical attraction” in their marriage. “Until Sharna [Burgess], my ex and I were together for almost 15 years,” Green shared. “We were married for almost 10 years and I led with physical attraction.”

The former couple separated after nearly a decade of marriage, and court documents reviewed by PEOPLE showed that their divorce was finalized in February 2022. They have moved forward as co-parents to their three sons.

Meet the MCU’s New X-Men as Marvel Officially Reveals the Cast

Published

on

The mutants have technically been part of the Marvel Cinematic Universe for several years, but Marvel Studios has remained unusually patient about assembling the X-Men. Recent projects have introduced mutant characters, referenced the genetic mutation behind their powers, and even revisited the universe of Fox’s X-Men movies without establishing the MCU’s own version of the team.

That has changed considerably in recent months. Jake Schreier is attached to direct Marvel’s upcoming X-Men reboot, with Lee Sung Jin and Joanna Calo working on the screenplay following an earlier draft by Michael Lesslie. Marvel has also started assembling its first official X-Men cast, with Sadie Sink playing Jean Grey in Spider-Man: Brand New Day, Kit Connor taking on Scott Summers/Cyclops, and Samara Weaving joining the MCU as Emma Frost. Those announcements finally gave audiences an idea of what Marvel’s new generation of mutants will look like, but there were still some major pieces missing. The studio had yet to reveal its Professor X, Rogue, primary villain, or even when the movie would arrive in theaters. Marvel Studios answered all of those questions during its D23 presentation, expanding the cast and officially putting a date on the X-Men’s MCU debut.

Maya Boyd has officially been cast as Storm, while Obsession star Inde Navarrette will play Rogue, joining Sink’s Jean Grey, Connor’s Cyclops, and Weaving’s Emma Frost. Marvel also revealed the actor who will bring this new generation of mutants together, with Christopher Abbott set to play Professor X. The biggest surprise came from the other side of the mutant conflict. Adam Driver will play Mister Sinister, officially bringing one of the X-Men’s most enduring villains into the MCU despite Kevin Feige‘s recent comments seemingly confirming Driver was an MCU-avoidant. The announcement gives the upcoming movie its first confirmed antagonist and offers the clearest indication yet of the threat Marvel’s new team will be facing when they finally make their debut.

Marvel has already spent several projects preparing audiences for the arrival of mutantkind. Ms. Marvel revealed that Kamala Khan possesses a mutation, Black Panther: Wakanda Forever introduced Namor as a mutant, and The Marvels featured Kelsey Grammer‘s Beast. Doctor Strange in the Multiverse of Madness brought Patrick Stewart back as Charles Xavier, while Deadpool & Wolverine revisited Fox’s mutant universe and brought Channing Tatum‘s Gambit to the big screen. The new movie will finally give the MCU an X-Men team of its own.

X-Men will arrive in theaters on May 5, 2028. Stay tuned with Collider for more news from D23 throughout the weekend.

Perez Hilton Overdose Revealed In New Report After Livestream

Published

on

Perez Hilton at the 28th Annual GLAAD Media Awards

Perez Hilton received emergency treatment for both an overdose and multiple injuries following his livestreamed suicide attempt earlier this month, according to a newly obtained Florida incident report. The report provides the first official indication that an overdose was among the medical emergencies responders confronted after entering the celebrity blogger’s Miami home on August 4. Hilton, whose legal name is Mario Armando Lavandeira Jr., remains hospitalized as his family warns that his physical and mental recovery will require considerable time.

A Miami-Dade County Sheriff’s Office incident report obtained by PEOPLE states that a fire rescue team “began treatment on scene for multiple lacerations and an overdose.” Hilton was subsequently transported to a local hospital, where he has continued receiving medical and mental health care.

The report does not identify what substance was involved in the overdose, how much was taken or when it was ingested. It also does not establish whether it involved medication connected to a separate incident his sister described from weeks earlier.

That distinction is significant because Barbara Lavandeira previously revealed that Hilton had taken leftover painkillers on another occasion before voluntarily seeking psychiatric treatment. The available reporting does not confirm that the same medication was involved on August 4.

According to the incident report, Lavandeira contacted law enforcement after discovering her brother in crisis during a TikTok livestream. She quickly removed Hilton’s three children, Mario, 13, Mia, 11, and Mayte, 8, from the home before calling for help.

Hilton reportedly followed them outside and approached the vehicle before returning to the house and locking himself inside. Officers established a perimeter around the property. Family members and authorities later entered the residence and brought Hilton into the living room so emergency responders could begin treating him.

Lavandeira confirmed in an interview with Page Six that her brother remains under professional care. “His physical and mental recovery is going to take a lot of time, but we remain hopeful,” she said. “He has no access to a cellphone, social media or the internet. Everyone’s focus is on helping him recover physically and making sure he receives the mental and emotional care and support he needs.”

Hilton’s access to visitors and conversations with relatives has reportedly remained limited. His sister said it is “still far too early to know the extent of any lasting damage or scarring” resulting from his injuries.

She also declined to speculate about how much Hilton remembers from the crisis, explaining that those conversations will happen only when his medical team believes he is prepared. “He’s with medical professionals, and right now, the focus needs to remain on his treatment and recovery. There’ll be time for those conversations when his doctors believe he’s ready,” Lavandeira said.

The family has not provided a timeline for when Hilton could leave the hospital or return home.

Blogger Sought Help For ‘Severe Depression’ Before The Crisis

Lavandeira also disclosed that Hilton had been experiencing “severe depression” and voluntarily checked himself into a hospital approximately two weeks before the August 4 emergency. “He told us that a few days earlier, he had felt empty, hopeless, and like he was a burden on everyone,” she recalled. “He then admitted that one night when he couldn’t sleep, he had taken the remaining painkillers from his surgery in March. He said he just wanted to sleep.”

His sister took him to the hospital, where he reportedly remained for several days of evaluation and treatment. After his discharge, Lavandeira believed Hilton “seemed” and “looked better.” He resumed therapy and completed an intake call for an intensive outpatient program one day before the livestreamed incident.

The family’s account shows that Hilton had been seeking professional assistance before the crisis. It also underscores that someone may remain at serious risk even when they appear to be improving or are already receiving care.

Hilton’s mental health struggles followed a series of serious physical health emergencies. In March, he spent 21 days in the hospital after developing an ulcer, a perforation, and sepsis. He underwent multiple procedures during that hospitalization. A blood clot was later discovered in his leg, requiring another emergency surgery.

Lavandeira said the medical ordeal placed considerable strain on both her brother’s body and mind. However, no medical professional treating Hilton has publicly identified a single cause for his August 4 crisis.

His sister described the day she found him as one of “the darkest days” her family has experienced. “What I can say with certainty is that I didn’t recognize my brother when I looked at him,” she said.

After recognizing the severity of the emergency, Lavandeira prioritized removing the children and contacting authorities.

Hilton’s mother, Teresita Lavandeira, filed for temporary custody of his three children on August 7. Barbara has emphasized that the arrangement is intended to provide the children with stability while their father remains hospitalized. She said the family’s goal is for Hilton to resume caring for them once he is healthy and able to do so safely.

For now, the family is following guidance from Hilton’s doctors and has asked for privacy as he begins what they expect to be a lengthy recovery.
