10 Best Fantasy Shows Released Since 2020, Ranked
The year 2020 was tumultuous. As the world came to terms with a global pandemic, the entertainment industry felt the impact. With people quarantined at home, the need for captivating content to watch on television hit an all-time high. Luckily, that demand created an abundant supply, and a surplus of brilliant TV shows has been released post-COVID.
Fantasy has always been a great escape. Viewers get to vicariously live in a fantasy world as they are transported to far-away places and magical realms via their favorite TV shows. Mythical stories, fantastic creatures, and entire universes of wonder are available at the push of a button. Fantasy has held a special place in TV history, and the future looks all the brighter as breakout hits draw viewers back to the genre once more. Here are the best fantasy shows released since 2020.
10
‘Moon Knight’ (2022)
Releasing Marvel TV shows on Disney+ has been like a dartboard at a pub: throw things at it and see what sticks. While some series have been awesome and done due diligence to their source material, others are abysmal and have received their fair share of dissension. One series that struck out to find excellence on its own without the safety cushion of previous prompting in the MCU is Moon Knight.
Moon Knight stars Oscar Isaac as Steven Grant, a timid, socially awkward museum employee whose whole life is blown apart by forces without and within. Steven and the audience learn together that he has multiple personalities, and one of them, Marc Spector, is not only a mercenary but an emissary for the Egyptian moon god Konshu (F. Murray Abraham/Karim El Hakim). Moon Knight is perfect from beginning to end. It is filled with rich iconography, solid character development, and terrific acting. Isaac is irreplaceable in the roles he plays, and the rest of the cast, including Ethan Hawke and May Calamawy, are equally exemplary. Moon Knight is a unique triumph, proving that there is space in the genre for capsule narratives that are excellent within themselves, and they don’t need to spawn from a broader storyline to be great.

‘Locke & Key’ (2020–2022)
Locke & Key is a kaleidoscopic experience of dark fantasy. There are many pieces that can be turned and manipulated into different configurations, and each one is interesting and deserves to be viewed from several angles. The series centers around the Locke family. After the patriarch Rendell (Bill Heck) is murdered, his wife and children move into the family home where he grew up, a mysterious and foreboding mansion known as Keyhouse.
After the family moves in, the children begin to find keys hidden all over the property. What makes the keys unique is that they are imbued with special, extraordinary powers. There is the Music Box Key that gives its user the ability to control another person’s movements, the Anywhere Key that allows someone to travel anywhere they wish as long as they’ve seen the destination before, and many more keys with equally impressive values. Locke & Key has dynamic characters, interesting plots, and fantastic villains. It blends elements of fantasy and horror together seamlessly and is an ideal choice for fans of either genre.

‘Percy Jackson and the Olympians’ (2023–Present)
Based on a beloved YA novel series and quietly dominating on streaming this year, Percy Jackson and the Olympians is simply excellent. Two seasons in, the Disney+ original continues to gain momentum and has been a huge hit with both critics and fans alike. Ahead of the much-anticipated third season, the show is surging up streaming charts, and it is clear that fans can hardly wait for more episodes.
The storyline follows the titular protagonist, played by Walker Scobell, after he learns that he is the son of the Greek god Poseidon (Toby Stephens). As Percy learns more about his role as a demigod, he gains friends and foes as he completes epic quests in this thrilling series. Unlike the feature films based on the books that were released in the 2010s, the TV series is a much more faithful adaptation of the books, which has largely pleased avid devotees. With solid special effects, exciting action, and a pantheon of fascinating characters to explore, Percy Jackson and the Olympians is easily one of the best fantasy shows to debut since 2020, and it isn’t finished yet.
7
‘Lockwood & Co.’ (2023)
A hidden gem of supernatural fantasy that you will wish you had watched sooner is Netflix’s Lockwood & Co. Based on the award-winning book series by Jonathan Stroud, Lockwood & Co. takes place in a version of London that is plagued by malicious ghosts. Known as “The Problem,” the city has been seeking a way to deal with its surplus of specters, and it turns out that children are the solution. Only young people can detect the ghosts’ presence, leading to a high demand for those with the ability to sense them.
Lockwood & Co. is gripping, with a rich universe full of lore and interesting characters. The special effects in Lockwood & Co. are well done and enhance the storytelling rather than detract from it. Cameron Chapman, Ruby Stokes, and Ali Hadji-Heshmati are stellar in their performances as the motley trio that comprises the independent ghost-catching agency. Although the series received very little marketing or promotion from Netflix, it has grown to be a massive sleeper hit with over 36 million hours viewed. It is one of the best fantasy series released in the past three years and has a perfect 100% score on Rotten Tomatoes. Although Lockwood & Co.’s tenure deserved to be longer, it is still a fantasy masterpiece in its current form.

‘Ghosts’ (US) (2021–Present)
Ghosts follows a married couple named Samantha (Rose McIver) and Jay (Utkarsh Ambudkar) as they move into a family estate. When Samantha inherits her family’s legacy mansion, her dreams of opening a quaint B&B become slightly more complicated when a freak accident allows her to see and hear ghosts. After her accident, Samantha becomes aware that the Woodstone manor has a plethora of paranormal personalities who remain tied to the property because the location is where they met their demise. As Sam, Jay, and the ghosts learn to live together, it makes for a riot of comical and meaningful moments.
Ghosts is a clever and cute comedy that has been a hit with critics and audiences alike. Five seasons strong, it continues to deliver cliffhangers, conundrums, and will-they/won’t-they romance plots. The cast of characters is diverse and interesting, and there is something for everyone, as each ghost is from a different time period. Hitting nostalgia on multiple levels, Ghosts remains a feel-good sitcom that blends living your best life with the afterlife. The highly anticipated Season 6 will debut on October 29, 2026, and it promises to be one of the best yet.
5
‘My Lady Jane’ (2024)
My Lady Jane is a saucy, rompy anachronistic comedy that broke fans’ hearts when it was canceled after a single season. The series stars Emily Bader as the historical figure Lady Jane Grey, the famous Nine Days Queen. Lady Grey was the Queen of England for only nine days before she was deposed and beheaded. It is a real-life story that seems closer to a plot in Game of Thrones than anything else, but it did actually happen.
My Lady Jane takes this foundation and adds layers of comedy and whimsy to create something altogether unique. With such a tempestuous and remarkable turn of events, the story lent itself to a depiction that colored outside the lines a bit. Fans were passionate about the series and devastated when it was terminated. Luckily, the writing does not end on an earth-shattering cliffhanger, so the series can be appreciated and thoroughly enjoyed as-is.
4
‘One Piece’ (2023–Present)
You don’t get to be one of the longest-running anime in history for nothing. However, anime is a very distinct visual presentation, and it’s not everyone’s cup of tea. So Netflix took the awesome premise behind the enduring series One Piece and adapted it into a format that many audiences could appreciate: live-action.
Keeping the essence of the original and incorporating fantastic costume design and makeup, One Piece brings the eccentric characters of the anime to life like never before. The writing is superb in that newcomers to the fandom can join right in, and you don’t have to know anything about the anime to get started. Blending humor with action and adrenaline-dosed adventure, One Piece is everything old and new fans didn’t know they needed. It is a fun, frantic, and absurdist fantasy that never stops delivering on iconic characters and thrilling episodes. One Piece is a blazing comet of creativity, letting everyone know that the fantasy genre still has major creative opportunities to take hold of, and viewers are ready and willing to go along for the ride.
3
‘Arcane’ (2021–2024)
Historically, TV shows based on video games have been subpar. Arcane, however, is pure transcendence. The animated series is based on the popular League of Legends game and incorporates elements of sci-fi, fantasy, and steampunk. Having game developers from League of Legends involved with the making of the show ensured the result would be phenomenal. Not only is the animation stunning and visually rich, but the storyline is dedicated and focused. The series is only two seasons long because it wanted to be, and it avoided the pitfall of writing itself into mediocrity.
Arcane has won several Primetime Emmy Awards and boasts a perfect 100% on Rotten Tomatoes. It has proven once and for all that a TV show based on a video game can not only be good, but quintessential. Arcane is a ridiculously gorgeous spectacle of animation that you have to see to appreciate, and the compelling story and committed performances will keep you invested from the very start.
2
‘House of the Dragon’ (2022–Present)
Game of Thrones was a force to be reckoned with when it came to fantasy fandom. The hit series made household names out of its cast and catapulted many actors to stardom. When the series wrapped in 2019, there was a hole left in viewers’ hearts to revisit the lore once more. Enter: House of the Dragon. A prequel set 127 years prior to the events in GoT, House of the Dragon focuses on one of the most popular houses, the Targaryens, and feeds into the same narratives of dragons, deadly conquest, and a desire for power.
House of the Dragon has not disappointed, and it has been a solid hit for HBO Max and the series’ creators. Three seasons in, House of the Dragon remains a must-watch series and is consistently ranking in HBO Max’s Top 10 TV shows worldwide. The series has been greenlit for a fourth and final season, and fans can hardly wait to return to Westeros again.
1
‘Wednesday’ (2022–Present)
Reviving an established IP is nothing new, but Wednesday is a complete reinvigoration of a beloved character that became something greater than the sum of its parts. Wednesday Addams had only been seen in TV shows and movies as a younger girl. The choice to age her into a teen was inspired, and Jenna Ortega’s performance is spot-on, paying due homage to Christina Ricci’s brilliant depictions in the ‘90s movies. Ricci has a role in the series, and there are plenty of fan service winks to keep aficionados happy.
Wednesday includes the brooding, gothic lore that is expected, and then expands upon it by incorporating fantasy creatures like werewolves, sirens, and gorgons. Add in a school for outcasts with a house system akin to Harry Potter, and it was a recipe for success. Wednesday has become Netflix’s most accomplished title, and it is the predominant English-language series on the platform. Combining mystery with the macabre, Wednesday continues to inspire everything from fashion to cosmetics to hairstyles and more, and this absolute masterpiece of a fantasy series shows no signs of slowing down anytime soon.

Cassie Ventura & Alex Fine Step Out In RARE London Appearance
Cassie Ventura has been keeping things pretty low-key lately. But she was recently spotted stepping back into the scene for a night out in London — and she wasn’t alone! The singer popped out alongside her hubby, Alex Fine, looking all kinds of chic as the couple attended a premiere. The appearance marks a rare public outing for Cassie following a life-changing few years.

Cassie & Alex Fine Step Out In Style
These days, it looks like Cassie is simply focused on her family and enjoying life away from the spotlight. She recently stepped out for the London premiere of ‘MobLand’ ahead of the highly anticipated second season. In photos taken on Thursday, Cassie served looks in a low-cut gray spaghetti-strap dress with a built-in silhouette, white nails, and dark hair parted down the middle and styled in soft, light-peachy waves. Alex kept things sleek in an all-black fit, accessorizing with a watch and an earring in his left ear. The couple posed arm-in-arm for the cameras and kept the vibes understated. Alex also had an extra reason to be there, as he appeared in three episodes of the show’s first season.
The Last We Heard From Cassie
One of the last times we heard from Cassie, she was making headlines for a major change in her personal life. In June 2026, it was reported that Cassie had filed a court declaration stating that she now lives “outside of the United States” and does not intend to move back. While she confirmed that she remains a U.S. citizen, Cassie reportedly clarified that she is not a California resident and said she could still appear for court proceedings in New York, where her attorneys are based. She did not reveal where abroad she and her family are currently living.
Before that update, Cassie and Alex Fine had welcomed their third child, making Cassie officially a boy mom. The couple’s newest addition arrived in May 2025, just weeks after Cassie testified during Diddy’s federal trial. Cassie had previously shared a glimpse of her pregnancy through a stunning black-and-white maternity shoot. But she has continued to keep details about her family, including her son’s name, largely private.
Cassie Previously Took The Stand During Diddy’s Trial
If you remember, Cassie took the stand during Sean “Diddy” Combs’ federal sex trafficking trial. Around that same time, Cassie reportedly received a combined $30 million settlement connected to the abuse she said she experienced during her relationship with Diddy — $20 million from Diddy and another $10 million from the InterContinental Los Angeles Century, where surveillance footage captured Diddy assaulting her in a hotel hallway. Cassie later received another legal win in July when a judge dismissed the claims brought against her in a lawsuit filed by male escort Clayton Howard, although part of the case was left open for a possible refiling.

Carly Rae Jepsen’s Baby Name Has ‘Heated Rivalry’ Link
Carly Rae Jepsen might be the biggest fan of “Heated Rivalry,” as she revealed how she is excitedly blending her love for the show with her personal life.
The “Call Me Maybe” singer shared in a recent interview that she was not only approached to write a song for the series, but may also have named her newborn son after one of its characters.
Jepsen also expressed her desire to contribute a song to the upcoming second season, calling the opportunity a “dream.”
Carly Rae Jepsen dropped a major hint about the inspiration behind her son, Ilya, whom she welcomed earlier this year with her husband, Cole M.G.N., whose real name is Cole Marsden Greif-Neill.
Speaking in an interview with The Hollywood Reporter ahead of the release of her upcoming double album, “Day and Night,” the Canadian singer-songwriter teased that her son was named after the character Connor Storrie plays in “Heated Rivalry.”
“Ilya is the name of my son. Maybe, not maybe because of that show,” Jepsen said.
“It was an incredible show,” she added of the series.
Jepsen Calls Writing A ‘Heated Rivalry’ Season 2 Song A ‘Dream’

Jepsen also expressed her eagerness to join the show’s musical universe after missing out on the chance to record a song for its first season.
She explained that someone once approached her to pen a song for the hockey romance series, but the collaboration did not move forward because the production lacked the necessary budget.
However, she voiced a clear desire to contribute an original track to the upcoming second season, saying it would be a “dream.” Still, she has not heard from creator Jacob Tierney about the possibility.
Tierney previously revealed that he had the Cut to the Feeling singer on his playlist while writing Season 1, but financial constraints prevented the collaboration from coming to fruition.
“She was on my playlist for when I wrote, and I will definitely be asking next time. I was even gonna ask her to write a new song,” he said during an appearance on the “What Chaos! Podcast.”
Jepsen Reveals The Inspiration Behind ‘Day And Night’

Elsewhere in the wide-ranging interview with The Hollywood Reporter, Jepsen discussed her upcoming double album, its inspiration, and other aspects of her life, including her upbringing.
The album, set for release on September 18, is divided thematically between contrasting genres. Day leans more toward psychedelic pop anthems, while Night maintains a strong electropop core.
According to the outlet, Jepsen originally set out to create two separate projects. However, her longtime friend and collaborator Tavish Crowe suggested viewing them as contrasting parts of a single project.
The Singer Opens Up About Her Modern Family Dynamic

Jepsen also discussed her upbringing, noting that her upcoming album somewhat mirrors the way she grew up.
“I grew up in two different houses because my parents divorced when I was quite young and remarried to incredible stepparents,” she explained.
“The Good Time” singer described the arrangement as a “very modern idea of co-parenting,” with all four parents getting along well. She and her brother switched homes every two days, with the houses located within 10 minutes of each other in Mission, British Columbia.
“My mom’s a little bit more free spirit, hippie-ish, and my dad’s a little bit more the opposite of that,” she said. “I feel like musically there was a connection. They all love James Taylor, they all love Joni Mitchell, but they also had different flavors in terms of what my stepparents brought to the table with their musical tastes.”
Carly Rae Jepsen Explains Why She Left Scooter Braun
Jepsen’s rise to fame cannot be discussed without mentioning her former manager, Scooter Braun, whom she first signed with in 2011 after his then-client Justin Bieber took notice of her.
She has since parted ways with the music executive, but explained that there is no bad blood between them. Jepsen felt they needed to go their separate ways because they had different visions for her career.
“I knew that I was on a different journey than he understood,” she told THR. “I wanted to do something a little bit less mainstream, and I liked what he had offered, but I didn’t necessarily think it was what I wanted anymore.”
She continued, “I felt like it was just going to be a little bit easier to shake hands, walk away, and go let my freak flag fly, so to speak.”

Dolly Parton’s Sister Shares ‘Last’ Request She Made Before Death
Dolly Parton’s sister Stella is opening up about one of their final conversations and the simple but emotional request the singer made before her death.
The country music legend died on August 25 at age 80 following a brief battle with cancer, leaving behind a legacy that extended far beyond her music.
While reflecting on their close relationship, Stella revealed that Dolly Parton remained hopeful even as her health declined.

Stella and Dolly shared a close bond that continued until the final weeks of the singer’s life. One of their traditions was a Tuesday morning phone call, when the sisters would have coffee together and catch up before beginning their day.
Following Dolly’s death, Stella reflected on those conversations during an interview with Gayle King on “CBS Mornings.” When asked about the final things her sister said to her, Stella revealed that Dolly turned to her faith during that difficult period.
“The last thing Dolly asked me for was prayer,” she recalled, per Entertainment Weekly.
Stella said one of the qualities she would miss most was her sister’s unwavering positivity. Even while dealing with health problems, Dolly continued looking toward the future rather than allowing her circumstances to completely overshadow her outlook.
“Her optimism is what I’m gonna miss the most,” Stella said, remembering Dolly as someone whose imagination and creativity seemed limitless.
The Country Singer’s Sister Dismisses Claims She Died Of A ‘Broken Heart’

Dolly experienced a devastating personal loss before her own death when Carl Dean, her husband of nearly six decades, died in March 2025. His passing naturally raised questions about how deeply the loss affected the singer during the final period of her life.
Stella acknowledged that watching Dean’s health deteriorate was painful for her sister. She recalled that Dolly was deeply saddened by his condition and eventual death, but rejected the idea that grief caused the illness that later claimed her life.
“I think she was very sad, but I don’t think that’s why she got sick,” Stella explained.
According to Stella, the emotional impact of losing Dean should not be confused with the cause of Dolly’s health problems.
“I think it broke her heart to see him in the shape” he was in before his death, Stella said, adding, “I don’t think that’s what made her sick. I think my sister worked so hard for so long.”
Dolly Parton’s Relentless Work Ethic May Have Taken A Toll On Her Health

Instead of attributing Dolly’s illness to heartbreak, Stella believes her sister may simply have pushed herself too hard for too long.
“I think she worked too hard and didn’t take as good care of herself as she should,” Stella said, later emphasizing that Dolly had maintained an intense work ethic for decades.
Even as her health became more challenging, slowing down did not come naturally to the country icon. Dolly had canceled appearances and her Las Vegas residency, but she remained focused on projects she still hoped to complete.
Shortly before her death, Dolly acknowledged that caring for Dean had also caused her to overlook some of her own medical concerns. She explained that she was dealing with issues she “just didn’t pay attention to” while looking after her husband.
Still, her desire to create impact remained intact. Dolly said she had “so many things” she still hoped to accomplish and intended to continue working for as long as her health allowed.
The Country Music Legend Hid Her Cancer Battle From Her Loved Ones

Dolly kept the seriousness of her illness very private, with even some relatives unaware that she had cancer.
According to Stella, her sister did not want her diagnosis becoming a source of sadness for the people around her.
“She didn’t want a lot of the family worried about it,” Stella explained, revealing that only some of those closest to Dolly knew what she was facing.
The decision also extended to her fans. She said Dolly “would not have wanted her fans worried about it,” choosing instead to keep the details of her cancer battle largely out of public view until her death.
Dolly Parton’s Generosity Lasted Until The Very End

Even while privately battling cancer, Dolly was thinking about how her experience might benefit someone else. Stella revealed that her sister was willing to let doctors experiment with new treatments if conventional options could no longer help her.
Stella recalled Dolly saying that if there were “no hope for her, she would still allow her medical team to try experimental drugs in the hope of helping others in the future.” Stella also described her sister as “one of the most generous, thoughtful and kind people” she has ever known.
She encouraged fans hoping to honor Dolly to continue that example by showing kindness and helping others with their time and resources.
The spirit of generosity also shaped the family’s plans following her death, with mourners encouraged to support Dolly’s Imagination Library instead of sending flowers.

Asa Germann Cast as Angel in Marvel Studios’ X-Men
Spider-Man: Brand New Day continues to rewrite the box office record books.
The latest Marvel and Sony blockbuster starring Tom Holland has now climbed to approximately $2.33 billion worldwide, pushing past Avatar: The Way of Water to become the third highest-grossing movie of all time at the global box office.
The film now trails only Avengers: Endgame and James Cameron’s original Avatar on the worldwide charts.
It is another staggering milestone for Brand New Day, which has been breaking records since arriving in theaters on July 31.
The film opened to more than $360 million domestically, the biggest domestic opening weekend ever, and quickly became the second-fastest movie in history to cross $1 billion worldwide. It later became just the eighth movie ever to reach $2 billion globally.
Its success hasn’t slowed much either. Brand New Day remained No. 1 at the domestic box office for a fifth consecutive weekend, adding another $22 million and bringing its North American total to roughly $892 million.
Sadie Sink, Spider-Man: Brand New Day [marvel studios]
That puts another historic record within reach.
Star Wars: The Force Awakens currently holds the record as the highest-grossing movie in domestic box office history with approximately $936.7 million. Brand New Day is now less than $50 million away from potentially taking the crown.
Worldwide, the mountain is considerably larger.
Tom Holland and Zendaya, Spider-Man: Brand New Day [marvel studios]
Avengers: Endgame sits at roughly $2.8 billion, while Avatar remains the worldwide box office champion with approximately $2.9 billion.
Whether Brand New Day has enough momentum left to challenge those films remains to be seen, but reaching the No. 3 position already puts the latest Spider-Man adventure in exceptionally rare territory.
With nearly $900 million domestically and more than $2.3 billion worldwide, Tom Holland’s fourth solo Spider-Man movie has officially become one of the biggest theatrical releases in movie history.

Jennifer Lawrence Outlines Strict Rules for Her Instagram Debut
Jennifer Lawrence has finally hopped on the social media train, but will she stay?
The actress created her official Instagram account and already shared her first post shortly after. The big question is whether she is there to stay, as she revealed that her continued presence depends on a few things.
Jennifer Lawrence previously swore off social media apps, saying she couldn’t keep up with the demands of building an online presence and didn’t want to open the door to more judgment.

Lawrence created her official Instagram account on September 9. She launched the verified public account under the handle @jlaw, writing in her bio that “jenniferlawrence was taken.”
Within the first 24 hours, the account has amassed over 1.5 million followers, including top celebrities like Kris Jenner and Mr. Beast, as well as thousands of fans worldwide.
She currently follows fewer than 50 accounts, many of which are verified Instagram users. The actress’s follow list includes Kylie & Kendall Jenner, Kim Kardashian, her sisters Kourtney and Khloé, and their mom, Kris.
Other Hollywood stars include Dakota Johnson, Keke Palmer, Amy Schumer, Grace Gummer, Andy Cohen, Leonardo DiCaprio, and many more.
Lawrence also follows her husband, Cooke Maroney, who has a private account; the French fashion house Dior; fashion magazine editor Sara Moonves; wardrobe stylist and editor-in-chief of Interview magazine, Mel Ottenberg; and the popular children’s educator Ms. Rachel.
Inside The ‘American Hustle’ Star Reveals Why She Will ‘Quit’ In First Post
Lawrence made her first Instagram post, a video she shared hours after launching the account. In the 22-second video, the actress warns her online audience, saying she was “giving it a shot,” but that “if anyone says anything negative, I will quit immediately.”
She added that she will not stay on the app if there is even a hint of negative energy, but will leave with “no questions asked.” She added that “if anyone thinks something mean,” she will know and also quit.
The actress’s post has received nearly a million reactions and hundreds of thousands of comments, including one from Instagram’s official account writing “omg welcome.” Many fans expressed excitement about finally having Lawrence on the app. Noah Schnapp wrote “This is the best day of my life,” while Joey King added, “Thank god you’re here.”
Several fans doubled down on the warnings, reiterating in the comments that other users should be on their best behavior, while others praised Lawrence for drawing a firm line from the onset. “Period, set those boundaries, Queen!” a fan noted, with another adding, “The pressure of being the reason Jennifer Lawrence deletes Instagram is simply too much.”
More From The Blast
Jennifer Lawrence Previously Admitted To Having A Burner Account

Back in 2018, Lawrence revealed that she was on social media but not with a known public account. She described her online presence to InStyle as a “voyeur” four years after saying she would never get a Twitter, Facebook, or Instagram account.
“I’m on it. But I’m a voyeur: I watch, I don’t speak,” Lawrence said at the time. “There is always so much backlash. So many people are listening and paying attention, and they have so many opinions about absolutely everything.”
She shared that one reason she stayed away was that she didn’t want to put herself out there “for no reason.” The TV star also explained in a 2014 interview that the internet had “scorned her so much,” after saying that she cannot really keep up with emails, so the idea of being active on Twitter was so unthinkable for her
Nearly a decade after her admission, she makes her Instagram debut. One commenter on her warning post noted that she had been “lurking on a burner for years.”
The ‘Silver Linings Playbook’ Actress Revealed Cosmetic Procedure She Shrank From

In a recent interview, the mom of two opened up about the cosmetic procedures she undergoes, her skincare tips, and the enhancements she would like to try if not for her status as a public figure. She admitted she loves getting facial treatments, but only in very small amounts so they don’t affect her facial expressions.
“I get baby Botox, but I can’t do a lot,” Lawrence said, adding that she does not fully rely on injectables and also tries to keep herself well hydrated to achieve her glowing skin.
The Blast reported that the TV personality said she is curious about buccal fat removal, which involves moving fat from between the cheekbones and jawline to create a more defined facial appearance. While she “would love” to undergo the procedure, she noted that “everybody would know,” which would invite more scrutiny.
Jennifer Lawrence Revealed Her Plans To Get A Boob Job

Almost a year ago, the actress got candid about the body changes that came with having her second child. She shared that her body did not snap back as it did after her first, and so she was strongly considering going under the knife.
“Everything bounced back, pretty much after the first one. Second one, nothing bounced back,” she said, adding that she planned to have the surgery last November. She has yet to confirm if she went through with the plans since then.
The Blast shared that, besides getting Botox, Lawrence admitted to going under for a rhinoplasty to correct her deviated septum. She debunked rumors about getting lip fillers, a facelift, or blepharoplasty, a surgical procedure that removes excess skin, muscle, and fat from the upper and lower eyelids to improve the appearance of the eye area.

Sophie Cunningham Debuts Podcast Without Cohost West Wilson
Indiana Fever guard Sophie Cunningham is getting back into podcasting and it appears she will do so without her friend and longtime cohost, West Wilson.
“Sophie Cunningham is BACK with world renowned basketball trainer Drew Hanlen,” read a message via X from her podcast’s account on Thursday, September 10. “New episodes dropping every Thursday, with Episode 1 dropping later today. This is No Hesitation.”
The podcast, previously called “Show Me Something,” has been rebranded as “No Hesitation,” and is Cunningham’s first podcast in more than two months.
“The podcast is back babyyyy,” Cunningham, 30, wrote via Instagram over the announcement.
While it’s unclear what prompted the change from the Summer House alum Wilson, 31, to Hanlen, 36, it comes six weeks after Wilson publicly disagreed with his cohost’s stance on trans athletes in sports. (The former Bravolebrity has not yet addressed reports that Cunningham dropped him as a cohost.)
“Transgender athletes in American sports is such a borderline non-existent issue,” he said in a video via TikTok in July.
He continued, “Right-wingers have convinced a massive portion of people in our country that these people are, like, a threat to sports in America, when mathematically it’s not the case at all. And by continuing to platform this — politicians, athletes, journalists, news outlets — you’re only isolating transgender people even more by making them seem like this giant group of people is a threat to society, a threat to sports, when that’s just not proportionately the truth in any capacity.”
Wilson posted the video less than a week after ESPN published a profile on Cunningham, where she made it clear that she does not believe trans women should be allowed to play in the WNBA.
“I got a lot of negative feedback about me hating trans. And I’m like, ‘I never once said that,’” she said in the story. “I think that I am here to extend love. But I also think, with that, love is truth, being honest. And I want to protect young girls in a locker room, or young girls in sport who shouldn’t have to go against biological men.”
Cunningham doubled down at a Fever practice days later, calling her stance “common sense.”
“I think I’ll always believe in that,” she said. “I think it’s really important to protect children.”
Cunningham added, “I think there is room for absolutely everyone here and I think there’s room to love everyone. I truly think when you get people in the same room and have conversations, you have a lot in common with a lot of people. I’m there to love, but I’m also there to love biological women and I think there are rights that need to be protected.”

10 Classic Rock Songs That Sound Happy Until You Actually Listen to the Lyrics
Rock ‘n’ roll is a very happy and energetic genre, and its upbeat melodies can be a little deceiving sometimes. Especially considering that early rock icons were marketed as writing simple songs for the youth, a lot of people ignored the darker, more sensitive subjects being discussed in classic rock tracks.
Especially once rock ‘n’ roll became mainstream, the themes began to vary. Musicians didn’t feel compelled to only write about love or dancing or having fun. They could use the strength of the genre to tackle important social issues, or expose their vulnerable feelings. Bands like The Beatles, The Rolling Stones, Queen, and artists like Bruce Springsteen and Neil Young, often put out songs that, on the surface, sounded fun and carefree, but the second the listener paid attention to the lyrics, they become a lot more serious.
10
‘Help!’— The Beatles (1965)
“Help!” is perhaps the clearest example of a song that is deceptively cheerful, but actually is downright heartbreaking. From The Beatles’ 1965 album by the first name, “Help!” opens the album with an upbeat, energetic rhythm and harmonies that immediately pull you in. John Lennon sings the lead, with Paul McCartney and George Harrison singing backing vocals with an anticipatory call-and-response. They essentially “prod” Lennon into sharing his story in verses like “(I never need) I never needed anybody’s help in any way.” The song is very dynamic and pleasant to listen to, but paying attention to the lyrics quickly makes the listener realize that, far from being a happy song, it’s a genuine cry for help.
“And now my life has changed in oh so many ways / My independence seems to vanish in the haze / But every now and then I feel so insecure / I know that I just need you like I’ve never done before,” Lennon sings on the second verse, baring his soul. Then, in the chorus, his pleas get even more urgent. “Help me if you can, I’m feeling down / And I do appreciate you being ’round / Help me get my feet back on the ground / Won’t you please, please help me?” This is John Lennon’s most vulnerable confession, and it’s the fact that it’s genuine and honest that made “Help!” one of his favorite Beatles songs.

‘Don’t Stop Me Now’ — Queen (1978)
Yes, “Don’t Stop Me Now” might be the go-to party song, but the intense, bordering on manic excitement it expresses is not as happy as it may seem. In fact, it was exactly the type of song that had Freddie Mercury‘s bandmates worried about the frontman. When Mercury brought the song to Queen, his bandmates didn’t see this party song as amusing as the singer did. “I’m a rocket ship on my way to Mars on a collision course / I am a satellite, I’m out of control / I’m a sex machine ready to reload like an atom bomb / About to whoa-oh, whoa-oh, oh, explode,” Mercury sings.
Guitarist Brian May felt uncomfortable when he first heard the lyrics. He believed that Mercury’s idea wasn’t exciting but dangerous. It was a song about someone getting out of control and putting himself (and others) in danger. “I didn’t really take to it in the beginning. I didn’t feel totally comfortable with what Freddie was singing at the time,” May admitted. “I found it a little bit too flippant in view of the dangers of AIDS and stuff.”

‘Born in the U.S.A.’ — Bruce Springsteen (1984)
Maybe the most misunderstood rock ‘n’ roll track in history. Bruce Springsteen released this song in 1984 on his album by the same name, and the title and chorus make this song feel like a patriotic cry, while in reality, it’s a highly critical and grim song. “Born in the U.S.A.” was used by Ronald Reagan for his political campaign for its seemingly patriotic themes, but if listeners pay attention to the lyrics beyond the chorus, it becomes clear that it’s not a celebration at all.
“I had a brother at Khe Sanh / Fightin’ off them Viet Cong / They’re still there, he’s all gone / He had a woman he loved in Saigon / I got a picture of him in her arms, now / Down in the shadow of the penitentiary / Out by the gas fires of the refinery / I’m ten years burnin’ down the road / Nowhere to run, ain’t got nowhere to go.” This song is told from the perspective of a Vietnam veteran, and it shares, explicitly, how his country completely abandoned him. Now he’s scarred, can’t find a job, and lost the people he loved. “Born in the U.S.A.” is Bruce Springsteen’s demand for his country to do better for its people.
7
‘Paranoid’ — Black Sabbath (1970)
Black Sabbath is so energetic and intense that, a lot of the time, people can get lost in the rhythm and not realize the themes of the songs are much darker than they initially thought. And not darker in a cool, brooding sense; dark in a vulnerable sense. “Paranoid” is proof of that. Released in 1970, this song is one of Black Sabbath’s most popular hits, but if you listen to the lyrics over Ozzy Osbourne‘s strong vocals, it’s clear “Paranoid” is a cry for help.
“Can you help me / Occupy my brain?” Osbourne asks in the song. “I need someone to show me / The things in life that I can’t find / I can’t see the things that make true happiness / I must be blind.” Despite the hard rock, heavy metal sound, in essence, this song is about a man who can’t find a way out of a dark space, and feels like his inability to see the good in the world is his own fault.
6
‘Go Your Own Way’ — Fleetwood Mac (1976)
No band has written breakup songs better than Fleetwood Mac, and “Go Your Own Way” is one of those songs. From their legendary 1976 album, Rumours, this song was written by Lindsey Buckingham after his infamous breakup with Stevie Nicks. Unlike Nicks’ counterpart, “Silver Springs,” which is vulnerable and beautifully sad in both lyrics and melody, Buckingham’s take on their breakup was more upbeat, hiding his pain in lyrics that don’t necessarily match the vibe of the melody.
“If I could / Baby, I’d give you my world / How can I / When you won’t take it from me? / You can go your own way / Go your own way / You can call it / Another lonely day,” he sings, sounding almost vindictive. It is honestly a tried and true breakup trope, to hide your vulnerability behind feelings of spite. But while “Go Your Own Way” can be deceiving at first, in the end, it’s clear that it is, deep down, a sad song.

‘Gimme Shelter’ — The Rolling Stones (1969)
“Gimme Shelter” was a great duet between Mick Jagger and gospel singer Merry Clayton. These two vocal powerhouses deliver an incredible performance over a fast-paced melody and rhythm that immediately makes you bob your head to it. In contrast, the lyrics are shockingly, explicitly dark, with references to extreme crimes and war. “It was a very moody piece about the world closing in on you a bit,” Jagger said about it. “When it was recorded, early ’69 or something, it was a time of war and tension, so that’s reflected in this tune.”
This song, which opens the Rolling Stones’ album Let It Bleed, uses natural disasters to evoke the feeling of impending doom. “Ooh, a storm is threatening / My very life today / If I don’t get some shelter / Ooh yeah, I’m gonna fade away / War, children / It’s just a shot away,” Jagger and Clayton warn. It’s still a great song to jump around to, but it’s worth paying attention to the lyrics as well.
4
‘Jump’ — Van Halen (1983)
The most popular Van Halen song hides a deeper, much more sinister meaning behind the lyrics. “Jump” is believed to be a song about taking chances and being brave, but the real inspiration is incredibly dark. “So can’t you see me standing here? / I’ve got my back against the record machine / I ain’t the worst that you’ve seen / Ah, can’t you see what I mean? / Ah, might as well jump / Go ahead and jump,” the song shouts. Is it about taking a leap of faith? Maybe. It could be argued that the fans’ interpretation is what matters, but when David Lee Roth wrote it, he was remembering a grim news report he’d seen.
“Jump” was inspired by the story of a man standing on the edge of a building, threatening to jump to his death. Roth said that he imagined an onlooker telling the suicidal man to “go ahead and jump,” and he turned those words into a hit song. Knowing the real story behind this seemingly cheerful track makes it deeply unsettling.
3
‘Rockin’ in the Free World’ — Neil Young (1989)
“Rockin’ in the Free World” is Neil Young‘s ultimate rock stadium anthem, but just because it’s the perfect mosh-pit song, it doesn’t mean the lyrics are hopeful or positive. Despite what the title and the rock guitars might initially lead you to believe, this is Young’s most famous protest song. The chorus, which chants “Keep on rockin’ in the free world,” sounds like a happy refrain about freedom, but it’s actually a direct demand at the people in charge, asking them to do better.
“There’s colors on the street / Red, white, and blue / People shuffling their feet / People sleeping in their shoes,” he shouts. There is also direct criticism against George H. W. Bush’s administration, mocking his inaugural address through the lyrics “We got a thousand points of light / For the homeless man / We got a kinder, gentler machine gun hand.”
2
‘Every Breath You Take’ — The Police (1983)
While “Every Breath You Take” has for a long time been publicized as a love song, it’s the kind of song that, as times change, becomes less and less charming and more and more unsettling. The lyrics talk about a “heartbroken” man who promises the person who abandoned him that he will be following her every move and she will never be free of him.
“Every single day / And every word you say / Every game you play / Every night you stay / I’ll be watching you / Oh, can’t you see / You belong to me? / How my poor heart aches / With every step you take?” Sting sings tearfully. This song was The Police‘s greatest hit, but despite its musical greatness, the disturbing lyrics become impossible to ignore the moment you pay attention to their meaning.
1
‘Maxwell’s Silver Hammer’ — The Beatles (1969)
“Maxwell’s Silver Hammer,” from the last album The Beatles ever recorded, Let It Be, sounds incredibly cheery, almost childish, at first, but the lyrics couldn’t be further from that. In fact, it tells the story of a serial killer. Maxwell Edison is a student who murders his colleagues, teachers, and even the judge trying him with a silver hammer.
“Bang! Bang! Maxwell’s silver hammer / Came down upon his head / Clang! Clang! Maxwell’s silver hammer / Made sure that he was dead,” the chorus sings. The “bang, bang” exclamations are accompanied by the sound of drummer Ringo Starr hitting an anvil, which only makes it feel more absurd despite the dark lyrics. It was Paul McCartney who came up with the song, but every other Beatle seemed to hate it. Even so, the stark contrast between the lyrics and melody make for a very interesting track.

Bold and the Beautiful: Darcy’s Steamy New SUITOR – Which Guy Wins Her?
The Bold and the Beautiful delivers Darcy Dylan (Kelly Sullivan), newly arrived to LA, and I think that The Bold and the Beautiful really hit the jackpot casting Kelly Sullivan in this role.
We’ve also heard that Melissa Dylan’s (Sydney Bullock) mom is not going back to the Midwest. Darcy will be staying right there in Los Angeles. And at the moment, her focus is on her daughter Dylan. But since Darcy is going to stay in LA, she’s going to need some romance at some point or another. We’re going to talk about the romantic possibilities for Dylan’s mom.
Bold and the Beautiful: Darcy Dylan Sticking Around
So, we know from actress Kelly Sullivan herself that her character is going to be around. She said in an interview that Darcy’s not going anywhere and only bought a one-way ticket. And she said Dylan might be her ticket and Darcy might have been waiting on a moment like this. Kelly Sullivan also said that she doesn’t see Darcy as the kind of woman who has retirement savings and that her character is all about the tabloids, the haves and have nots, and said that Darcy is not the type to shy away from an opportunity that might be right around the corner.
So, that sounds like not only is Dylan’s mom sticking around, but she might find herself a shovel and do some gold digging while she is in Los Angeles. We already saw Darcy vibing with Deacon Sharpe (Sean Kanan) when Dylan introduced her mom to her boss at Bikini Bar. Both Darcy and Deacon were flirting their butts off and they were clearly digging each other.
Darcy & Deacon Hit it Off on B&B
So, Dylan did tell her mom, Darcy, you know, slow your roll because Deacon is in a relationship. However, it did not escape Darcy’s attention that Deacon was not wearing a wedding band, and she told Dylan that. So, Deacon and Darcy definitely had chemistry. There was a whole vibe. And sure, Deacon is with Taylor Hayes (Rebecca Budig), but she rejected his proposal.
That really stung Deacon. And fall spoilers for The Bold and the Beautiful say that Taylor’s rejection is going to keep eating at Deacon because Taylor won’t marry him, but she’s married Ridge Forrester (Thorsten Kaye) several times before and she proposed to him only a couple of years ago. So, all of this is going to keep weighing on Deacon. So, in the end, he and Taylor just may not last, period.
Of course, there’s still Sheila Carter (Kimberlin Brown) waiting in the wings. She is never going to give up on Deacon, but they are divorced and Sheila’s been psycho for so long that people struggle to believe that she’s changed. Now, Deacon does think she has, but it’ll take a long time for Sheila to be widely accepted everywhere, if ever.
Bold and Beautiful: Sheila May Win Deacon Back
So, there’s definitely a chance that Deacon and Darcy could spark if Deacon ends up walking away from Taylor because she will not marry him, but he doesn’t want to get back with Sheila, especially if Darcy tells Deacon any woman who turned down his proposal is crazy.
So, I do think Deacon could be a good option for Darcy. However, I will say that Deacon seems like a really long shot because Brad Bell is so pro-Sheila that it definitely feels like Taylor’s a placeholder and that Deacon will eventually go back to Sheila. We might even wind up with one of those irritating long-term love triangles that Brad Bell loves. They might do with Deacon, Sheila, and Taylor the same way they did with Brooke Logan (Katherine Kelly Lang), Ridge Forrester (Thorsten Kaye), and Taylor, you know, triangling forever.
They also did it with Brooke, Bill Spencer (Don Diamont), and Ridge. And of course, they did it with Steffy Forrester (Jacqueline MacInnes Wood), Liam Spencer (Scott Clifton), and Hope Logan (Annika Noelle). So, there is another option for a love interest that’s more intriguing, and that is Wyatt Spencer (Darin Brooks).
Wyatt & Darcy Romance Ahead on B&B?
In that recent interview that Kelly Sullivan did, she said it would be fun if Wyatt was Darcy’s new love interest because Kelly really likes Darin Brooks. Kelly talked about how funny that Darin is, and he really is. Kelly also has good comedic timing that’s supposed to come into play for Darcy.
Also, let’s be honest, Wyatt’s barely been seen. Wyatt has been back in LA for quite a while now with almost no screen time. And it would be really funny for Darcy to find out that Wyatt was once engaged to his stepmom Katie Logan (Heather Tom). I bet Darcy would love hearing that gossip.

Bold and the Beautiful: Darcy Goes Digging?
Now, somebody else to consider, more of a genre of person, is that Darcy may be the type to go after a married man, especially if she’s a gold digger. I mean, Dylan doesn’t seem like an opportunist. This week, though, Katie and Electra Forrester (Laneya Grace) are griping about Dylan and are talking crazy, saying that she got a job at Bikini Bar to see more of Will Spencer (Crew Morrow), which is completely insane. Dylan already worked for Deacon at Il Giardino and I’m sure he’s the one who transferred Dylan to Bikini Bar and it was a brand new restaurant.
Dylan started there the day it opened. So, how would it be Will’s favorite place to go when he had never been there before? This is just Katie and Electra’s delusions. But as for Dylan’s mom, she might actually be an opportunist. So, Darcy might have packed a shovel in her carry-on bag and may be planning to do some serious gold digging. If so, the soapiest option for Darcy to go after would be Bill Spencer.
Bold and the Beautiful: Darcy Targets Bill?
I mean, since Katie’s been so nasty to Dylan, why not target her man? And of course, we all know Bill’s track record. He’s a known cheater. I mean, all the men on The Bold and the Beautiful are cheaters, honestly. Eric Forrester (John McCook), Ridge, Deacon, all of them. But Bill has broken Katie’s heart many times before. So, it’s not unprecedented to think that Bill might do it again. And of course, there’s the fact that, remember Katie threw it in Dylan’s face that Electra is the love of Will’s life.
Let’s not forget who the love of Bill’s life is. Katie was dropped when Bill told Brooke that she was the love of his life and always would be. So, honestly, you never know with Dollar Bill. And of course, Darcy could always set her sights on another married rich man, you know, Ridge or Eric Forrester, because they’re filthy rich, both cheaters.
Also, what she would have to consider since if she is gold digging is that Forrester Creations may be in the toilet financially because of the bad decisions Ridge and Steffy keep making. Fall spoilers for The Bold and the Beautiful say the Forresters take a hit financially with the drama going on between Forrester Creations and House of Logan. And I’m sure Ridge and Steffy will find a way to pull the Forresters out of this. But for now, their family empire is at risk.
Bold and the Beautiful: Wyatt’s the Top Option
So, if Darcy wants to make sure her gold digging really pays off, going after Ridge or Eric might not be the right bandwagon for a gold digger to jump on right now. And Deacon’s got money, too. Not dollar billions or anything, but enough to keep Darcy in, you know, rhinestones, nachos, and margaritas. Honestly, I would say in the end with all the options that the likeliest one for Dylan’s mom’s new love interest is going to be Wyatt Spencer.
I also think it would be really interesting if he got with Darcy and then it wound up being a love triangle with Wyatt and Darcy and Shauna. That way Wyatt could have two hot cougars chasing him. I bet Bill would absolutely high-five his son Wyatt over that action. And we know he likes older women because of Katie. So, I think that would just be a blast to watch because they’d be wasting Darcy if they don’t give her a romantic interest. And a whole pile of fans would love to see Wyatt around a lot more. I know I would.
And I think both Katie and Bill’s reactions to Wyatt dating Darcy would be hilarious. Katie might be jealous and Bill might be impressed. And if it flipped into a love triangle, Katie might lose her mind. And I do think Heather Tom and Kelly Sullivan will be really fun to watch playing across from Darin Brooks. So, we’ll watch and see who Darcy winds up with.

Woman Allegedly Sought Hitman to Kill Ex and His Daughter
A New Jersey woman is facing federal charges in connection with an unsuccessful plot to have her ex-boyfriend, a Philadelphia police officer, and his daughter killed, authorities said.
The federal case against Jaclyn Diiorio, 28, comes after she was arrested in 2025 on state charges, including two counts of first-degree attempted murder, according to the Camden County Prosecutor’s Office.
The office learned in April 2025 that Diiorio allegedly wanted her 53-year-old ex and his 19-year-old daughter dead.
Diiorio is accused of offering a man, whom she hoped would serve as a potential hitman, $12,000 in exchange for killing the father and daughter, per The Philadelphia Inquirer. She reportedly met the man on Tinder.
What Diiorio didn’t know was that the Tinder user was actually a confidential informant working with law enforcement, prosecutors said.
She met with the informant in Gloucester Township on April 4, 2025, when she allegedly paid him a $500 cash down payment in connection with the scheme, according to officials.
After paying the informant, she was arrested.
Now, a federal indictment filed more than a year later charges Diiorio with two counts of using interstate commerce facilities in the commission of a murder-for-hire, the U.S. Attorney’s Office for the Eastern District of Pennsylvania announced in a Wednesday, September 9, news release.
Now that the Justice Department is involved, Camden County is no longer pursuing the state case against her, The Philadelphia Inquirer reported.
Diiorio is represented by attorney Robert Gamburg, who told the newspaper that she intends to plead not guilty when she appears in federal court for a detention hearing.
She’s being detained ahead of that hearing, which is scheduled for September 14.
The Philadelphia police officer Diiorio previously dated, and later allegedly targeted, was her former client, per WTXF-TV. She reportedly had been his hairdresser before they started dating.
Their relationship ended in early March of 2025, according to the TV station.
Later that month, Diiorio began using a phone to orchestrate the plot to have her ex and his daughter killed, according to federal prosecutors.
“The indictment alleges that, from about March 30, 2025, to about April 5, 2025, in the Eastern District of Pennsylvania and the District of New Jersey, Diiorio used and caused another to use a facility of interstate commerce, that is, a cellular phone, with intent that the murders of Person #1 and Person #2 be committed, in exchange for money,” federal prosecutors said.
If Diiorio is convicted, she could face up to 20 years in prison.
