Andrew Garfield And Other Stars Involved In Emergency Landing
Andrew Garfield found himself at the center of an unexpected Hollywood travel story after a flight carrying him and several other familiar faces was forced to make an emergency landing.
What started as a stressful delay took a surprising turn when the stranded celebrities ended up spending time together in Albuquerque, turning the travel mishap into an unlikely Hollywood hangout.
Andrew Garfield rose to fame as Peter Parker in “The Amazing Spider-Man” before taking on acclaimed roles in “Hacksaw Ridge,” “Tick, Tick… Boom!” and “Under the Banner of Heaven.” The British-American actor has moved comfortably between major Hollywood productions and critically praised performances.
What began as an unexpected flight disruption quickly became a bizarre celebrity meet-up, with Andrew Garfield suddenly stranded in Albuquerque alongside a group of fellow stars.
The passenger list alone made the detour feel like one of those Hollywood coincidences you could not script. “Jurassic World” actor Nick Robinson, “Love Island USA” contestant Dylan Wrona, “Adults” star Owen Thiele and singer Mark Ambor were all suddenly in the same boat, or more accurately, the same grounded airport.
And instead of spending hours sitting around waiting for another flight, the group apparently decided to make a night of it. What followed included drinks, a trip into town, a Dave & Buster’s outing, and the kind of random bonding that can only happen when a completely ordinary travel day goes spectacularly off schedule.
A ‘Smoky Odor’ Mishap Turned Into A Celebrity Night Out
The chaos started when the Delta flight from Los Angeles to New York was diverted to Albuquerque after a “smoky odor” was detected in the aircraft. Delta later confirmed the plane landed safely and said passengers were being moved onto other flights to continue their journeys.
With hours suddenly added to their travel day, the celebrity passengers began documenting the strange situation. According to The Daily Mail, Dylan Wrona, 24, shared an airport selfie with Garfield, 43, captioning it, “Our plane is here to save us.”
Thiele began documenting the increasingly random turn the trip was taking, even showing himself heading into town with people he had never met before the flight.
By the time they were waiting to leave Albuquerque, the accidental group had seemingly gone from strangers to something resembling a temporary friend circle.
Thiele later told his followers they were all in a group chat, proving the strangest part of the whole ordeal may not have been the emergency landing, but how quickly a plane full of strangers turned into an unexpected Hollywood social club.
Andrew Garfield Has A Thing For Fun Plane Experiences

Garfield once shared a bizarre story about a plane ride that became much more sociable after he microdosed on a hallucinogenic substance. In the YouTube Short, he explained that the experience helped ease his usual shyness, leaving him feeling more comfortable striking up a conversation with the passenger sitting beside him.
That conversation quickly turned into a game of Bananagrams, with Garfield asking the woman next to him to join him. The simple game became the kind of unexpected travel interaction that might have ended there, but Garfield later joked that she was the “mother and wife” of his children.
Garfield clarified that the comment was only a joke and said they simply had a wonderful time playing together. The funny part, according to his story, was that the woman did not realize he was under the influence of hallucinogens at the time, making the whole encounter an especially unusual airplane memory.
The Internet Still Can’t Get Enough Of The Actor

Long before the latest travel mishap, the actor had already become a familiar face in some of the internet’s most unexpected moments, from thirsty fan posts to playful celebrity interviews.
The Blast highlighted his encounter with a fan at Glastonbury 2025 whose outrageous tweet about him had previously left him speechless. Seeing the woman in the audience years later turned an old internet post into a hilariously awkward real-life moment.
Rather than shy away from the awkward encounter, Garfield leaned into it with his trademark humor, admitting he could barely look at her while joking about the outrageous tweet.
From viral fan interactions to his flirty “Chicken Shop Date” appearance and candid interviews, the actor has somehow turned his willingness to laugh at himself into a major part of his online appeal.
Andrew Garfield Has Never Been Afraid To Take On Very Different Roles

Garfield has built a career by moving between wildly different kinds of characters, from blockbuster superheroes to deeply dramatic real-life figures. His range has helped keep him in the spotlight well beyond his years as Peter Parker.
The actor earned an Academy Award nomination for “Hacksaw Ridge” and another for “Tick, Tick… Boom!”, while his stage work brought another major milestone when he won a Tony Award for “Angels in America.” His filmography has since stretched across romance, crime, musical drama and fantasy adventure.
With Garfield now juggling another ambitious historical project alongside his growing list of memorable roles, his latest off-screen stories are giving fans just as much to talk about as the characters he plays on screen.
From an emergency landing that turned into an unlikely celebrity hangout to his candid stories, viral fan encounters, and demanding film roles, could Andrew Garfield be having his most unexpectedly entertaining moment yet?

New Horror Movie Officially Earns a Rare Stephen King Recommendation
Stephen King has never been shy about sharing his thoughts on the latest movies and television shows, especially when an adaptation of his work is involved. His recommendations have helped draw attention to everything from major studio releases to smaller projects that might otherwise escape notice. However, the legendary author admits that he rarely goes out of his way to promote original horror movies.
One upcoming release has convinced him to make an exception. King recently praised The Cycle, an independent horror movie starring Daredevil: Born Again actor Deborah Ann Woll, in an unusually enthusiastic social media post. “I don’t usually pump up horror movies (unless they are mine, haha), but this is special,” King wrote before telling his followers to put it on their calendars. That endorsement gives The Cycle a significant boost ahead of its exclusive Shudder debut on October 23. King did not explain precisely what impressed him about the movie, leaving horror fans to discover its appeal for themselves. Still, describing another creator’s original horror story as “special” is substantial praise from the mind behind The Shining, It, and Carrie.
What Is Stephen King’s New Horror Recommendation About?
The Cycle follows Meg, played by Woll, after her father’s body is discovered at a horrific crime scene 36 years after he disappeared. The discovery forces her to investigate his past and confront disturbing questions about what happened to him. Its trailer suggests that his return may have a supernatural explanation, although it also leaves open the possibility that Meg cannot trust her own perception.
Jordan Downey directed the movie after previously contributing a segment to the horror anthology V/H/S/Beyond. He co-wrote the screenplay with Kevin Stewart, while Jeffrey Donovan, Gretchen Corbett, Will Hochman, Dana Millican, Phillip Andrew Botello, and Jack Doolan round out the cast. Its mixture of buried family secrets, psychological uncertainty, and potentially reanimated corpses makes King’s interest easy to understand. Downey described The Cycle as a love letter to King and said the author helped shape his entire upbringing as a movie fan. That connection made King’s public approval especially meaningful for the filmmaker, who called the moment almost impossible to comprehend.
The Cycle releases October 23 on Shudder.

Big Brother Spoilers: Week 10 HOH Winner Revealed – Icons Catch Another Break
We’ve got your Big Brother Week 10 Head of Household winner results. And for those that hate the icons, this may not be a good week for you. We’ve got those results plus some live feeds fallout after Angela Murray‘s eviction, stolen wine and who is going on the block.
Big Brother Spoilers: Who Won HOH?
Many fans are saying that Taylor Brown and Yash Patel made the worst possible move keeping Dee Valladares. Other people are saying it was Taylor and Yash’s best move. I think Dee Jedi mind-tricked them into keeping her.
In the end we have two icons still left in the house and here’s your big spoiler alert: Yash won the Head of Household comp for week 10. Sounds crazy that he would win it given the BB Bribe but I see the strategy.
They’re at Final 7 and it’s not until Final 5 that he’s guaranteed to be able to put an icon on the block. And Rick Devens and Dee might gun for Yash before he can come for them. Side note: Dee was in second place in the HOH.
That’s okay because Yash is likely going to put up the exact people that Dee was going to nominate. The three she called out on eviction night: Melody Morris, Barrett Pfeiffer, and Drew Campbell. The thing is Yash hates Drew…
Big Brother 28: Have-Nots in the House
Barrett and Devens are Have-Nots because Drew has the Never-Not pass. This should be the last week of both Have-Nots and the Blockbuster. Devens shared some September 11th memories on the live feeds today since no one else in the house is really old enough to fully remember it.
This week, Yash can’t directly nominate Dee and Devens. However, there’s some chatter that Yash might pull a fast one. He talked to Taylor about putting her up and leaving Barrett off the block.
Because, if Taylor’s on the block, and Barrett wins veto, Yash thinks he can get him to use the veto on Taylor, then Yash can renominate Devens. But Taylor pushed back because she can pull someone down if she wins veto, same as Barrett.
But Yash thinks Barrett has a better chance to win. I expect Taylor to press Yash to leave her off and then if Taylor wins, she can pull someone down. In that case, Yash can renominate Dee or Devens.
PoV Comp Takes Special Type of Brawn on BB28
The POV this week is the pressure cooker. And that veto, three out of four times was won by women. The last time, Vince Panaro won it and he’s not muscular. It’s about lean arm muscle endurance. Aside from Devens and Melody, it’s anyone’s comp.
Devens’ forte isn’t physical comps and Melody’s not won anything yet. Wednesday and Thursday this week are two-hour episodes. Wednesday likely because of the pressure cooker and Thursday for the double eviction.
The double eviction should be interesting since Yash can’t play HOH and his bribe has been fulfilled. He may be the house target on the double eviction.
Whine About Wine
We’ve also got wine-gate. It’s been a while since there was something to investigate in Big Brother 28 and Detective Dee is on the case. Apparently, there was some red wine in the fridge.
Dee said that Barrett had saved for her. And Dee went to get some and it was all gone. But Barrett actually said that he’d save the wine for Dee and Melody for when they got off Have-Nots.
So, Dee suspects Melody chugged it and confronted her. Dee’s certain her wine was hijacked. Melody’s a top suspect as a self-professed wine enthusiast. Dee is too though. And since Melody hates Dee, she might’ve drunk it on purpose.

Big Brother: Angela Murray is Out!
Melody and Barrett griped after Angela was evicted which ruined Barrett’s HOH. Melody said, at this rate, Taylor is going to win this whole thing. Barrett agreed, at this point I wouldn’t be shocked.
Melody also had one of her fits of rage over the Survivors both staying. Dan Gheesling went on TikTok saying help me understand it because it made no sense to him they kept Dee when they had her locked and loaded for eviction.
Mallory Aurichio was at a live episode viewing and lost her mind over Dee not being evicted. Mallory was name calling and everything. Barrett comforted and cuddled Melody last night and said she’d be safe because he and Drew are bigger targets.
Melody then complained to Drew she doesn’t want to be in jury with Lala and Angela. Also, last night, while Drew was doing a Diary Room session, Taylor told Melody the vote flip happened because Drew ratted the Ceasefire to Angela and Dee.
Taylor said that Drew told them let’s target Taylor and Yash. Given how mad Melody stays with Drew, she got all fired up and later went off with Yash about it. Also, pre-eviction, Yash and Angela trash-talked Drew and called him Littlefinger.
Yash wants Drew out so bad but Big Brother 28 is a season of HOH blindsides, so Yash may not get what he wants.

‘Euphoria’ Officially Gets Brand New Release After Finale
After years of controversy and a seemingly endless wait for its final chapter, HBO finally brought its popular coming-of-age drama Euphoria to an end in May 2026. The series, created by Sam Levinson, premiered in 2019 and quickly became one of HBO’s most influential shows, helping turn its young ensemble, namely Zendaya, Sydney Sweeney, and Jacob Elordi, into some of Hollywood’s biggest rising stars. The controversies haven’t quite overshadowed just how successful the series has been, with 9 wins from 32 Emmy nominations and another potentially to come thanks to Zendaya’s pending nomination for Outstanding Lead Actress in a Drama Series.
Euphoria Seasons 1 and 2 were well received by critics. The series earned praise for its willingness to tackle mature subjects and its grounded portrayal of the struggles facing young adults. Season 1 holds an 80% critic score on Rotten Tomatoes, while Season 2 dipped slightly to 78%. Season 3, however, marked a much sharper decline in critical reception, earning just 44%. However, its fan-powered 56% Popcornmeter score suggests that viewers didn’t find the final chapter quite as disappointing. The final season was also a ratings success, with Nielsen reporting that it accumulated 666 million minutes watched during the week following its finale.
Now that Euphoria has reached the end of its run, HBO is giving fans the chance to own a physical copy of the acclaimed series. Seasons 1 and 2 were previously released individually on Blu-ray and DVD, but rather than release Season 3 on its own, HBO and Warner Bros. Home Entertainment are bringing the entire series together in a complete-series collection. The Blu-ray set will span 10 discs, while the DVD collection will contain 8. Both editions will also include several special features, including the three special episodes “Trouble Don’t Last Always,” “F*** Anyone Who’s Not a Sea Blob,” and “Euphoria: A Look Back,” the latter of which was previously released on HBO Max. The collection will also include more than four hours of bonus content, featuring behind-the-scenes featurettes such as “Unfiltered with the Cast of Euphoria,” “Enter Euphoria: An Inside Look at the Episodes,” “Costumes, Fashion and Looks of Euphoria,” and “House Tour and Set Tour With Sydney
Will ‘Euphoria’ Get a Spin-off?
Euphoria ended on a grim note for many of its main characters, but not everyone met a tragic fate. While series creator Sam Levinson has confirmed that the story is over, Sweeney, who played Cassie Howard, isn’t quite ready to close the door on her character. In a recent interview, the actress said, “I know there is more to tell of Cassie’s story,” adding, “I’ll always be wondering what Cassie is up to in the Euphoria-verse.” For now, though, a Euphoria spin-off seems far from guaranteed. Between Levinson’s comments about the story being finished, the controversies that have surrounded the series, and the definitive fates handed to several characters in the finale, finding a natural path forward could prove difficult, and perhaps things are best left as they are for obvious reasons.
Euphoria: The Complete Set Blu-ray will be released on December 15. The full season is also available to stream on HBO Max and to buy/rent on digital storefronts. Stay tuned to Collider for more updates.

Matthew Mayich Was ‘Failed’ by Staff During Controversial Workout
Arizona State hockey player Matthew Mayich was “failed” by those around him when he collapsed and was hospitalized after a controversial outdoor workout last month, the Professional Hockey Players’ Association said in a blistering statement.
“The recent tragedy in collegiate hockey should force everyone in sport to confront a fundamental issue: no athlete should ever believe that protecting their health and safety could cost them ice time, their place on a team, a scholarship or their future in the game,” PHPA Executive Director Brian Ramsay said on Wednesday, September 9. “When athletes feel pressure to remain silent about an injury, illness, exhaustion, or concern because they fear the consequences of speaking up, the system has failed them.”
Ramsay continued, “Athletes should never have to choose between their health and their careers. Period.”
Mayich, 21, suffered a heat stroke during a military-style team workout on August 20. The athlete has been hospitalized since, with the family’s attorney, Robert Carey, saying Mayich has “zero chance for recovery.”
“I believe we have an obligation to this young man and his family, to keep pushing for a culture across hockey — and across sport — where speaking up about one’s health and wellness is viewed as an act of strength, not weakness,” said the PHPA, which represents all players in the American Hockey League and ECHL. “That young man, on the cusp of his career in professional hockey, was failed by the system, the system that should have protected him.”
The statement continued, “The president must conduct an inquiry and meet with players who will tell the truth about that day, but they must also guarantee that no player will suffer any repercussions or retaliation. No game, roster spot, scholarship or career is worth compromising an athlete’s health or safety. We owe all athletes an environment that makes that principle absolute.”
Mayich, a sophomore defenseman, had recently transferred to Arizona State after playing his freshman year at Clarkson University. He was a sixth round pick by the St. Louis Blues in the 2023 NHL Draft.
The Arizona State Police Department opened a formal investigation into Mayich’s collapse earlier this month. In an exclusive interview with Us, Carey said fear within the hockey program was palpable.
“These kids are scared,” Mayich’s family attorney said on September 3. “The ones that are still there, they’re scared. They think they might lose their scholarships. They think the program might crumble. They might not get playing time if they cross the coach.”
In a statement to Us on September 3, a spokesperson for Arizona State said, “The morning outdoor workout was a team event at which coaches and training staff were present along with a third party who had previously worked with the ASU Hockey team.”
“Sun Devil Athletics also has heat-illness guidelines in place; these guidelines are informed by the National Athletic Trainers’ Association,” the statement added. “SDA student-athletes regularly practice and train outside, under coach and trainer supervision.”
Arizona State is scheduled to open their season on October 2 at Lindenwood.

Layla Taylor Shares Why She Came Out As Bisexual
“The Secret Lives of Mormon Wives” star Layla Taylor is finally living in her truth, and things couldn’t be better. In a new interview, the reality star, who recently came out as bisexual in the summer of 2026, shared more about her life now that she’s open about her sexuality and explained why she decided now was the right time to come out.
Speaking with PEOPLE, Taylor said the main reason she came out was to encourage those who might also be struggling to accept themselves.
“The only reason why I did formally address it is just to help youth that are feeling the same way, that are scared to come out — and even adults that are the same way, that are scared to come out — was just to share my story so I could help other people,” he said.
According to a previous report from The Blast, the Hulu star told podcast host Jay Shetty that she was “gay and bi” before saying her breakup with her last boyfriend inspired her to act on her attraction to women.
Layla Taylor Says She Was Surprised By Homophobia
Elsewhere in her interview, Taylor said that she was surprised to learn people in the LGBTQ+ community still experience homophobia.
“I get a lot of biphobia from people saying that this is just a phase and I’m going to go right back to men, or all these weird assumptions,” she said. “But I just think after someone comes out, I feel like just let them figure it out for themselves, date who they want to date. And at the end of the day it’s no one’s business.”
Layla Taylor Has Introduced Her Girlfriend To Her Two Young Sons
Since coming out, Taylor has shared a bit more about her new relationship with TikTok creator Kelsie Chesser, per The Blast. Taylor said previously that she “slid into” Chesser’s DMs, hoping she was into girls.
And since they’ve been dating for some time, Taylor introduced the social media influencer to her two young sons, noting that they’re at “the age now that they do understand.”
“I think luckily they’re so young right now that I don’t really feel like they even can conceptualize what ‘society’ a normal relationship looks like between a man and a woman. I don’t feel like they have an idea that it should be ‘man and woman,’” she said.
She went on to say that if her children did question her about her relationship, she would tell them that everybody has “certain views” and that “other people can have their views” too.
Taylor Shares Her One Regret Around Coming Out

The newest season of “The Secret Lives of Mormon Wives” is available to stream on Hulu, and this batch of episodes shows Taylor navigating life after her breakup with Mason McWhorter.
In her PEOPLE interview, Taylor reflected on her coming-out process and shared one regret: not embracing herself sooner.
“I was so afraid of judgment from other people, but I think I wish I was more afraid of not being myself sooner,” she said. “I feel like life is short, and it would be a bummer if you’re not able to be fully who you are.”
She went on to say that people would comment regardless of your sexual orientation. “So, just be who you want to be, love who you want to love, and if someone has an issue with it, that’s an internal thing that they need to figure out, because love is love and that’s all that matters.”
Taylor Is Focusing On Her Wellbeing After Talking About Eating Disorder

In addition to navigating her new life as a bisexual woman, Taylor admitted to continuing to focus on her health and wellbeing after previously confirming she struggled with an eating disorder.
According to The Blast, Taylor said she was focused on “getting in the right mental headspace” and working on having a “better relationship with my body and food in general.”
“I think being in the best mental headspace when you’re going into an environment like modeling where your body is out there, and people are open to making criticism of it, just making sure that you’re mentally good has been my top priority coming into this fashion week,” she said.

Conan O’Brien Still Won’t Watch the Moment His ‘Tonight Show’ Era Ended
When most people think about late-night talk shows, chances are they think of hilarious celebrity moments, funny maybe even cringe-worthy segments and a host that’s both entertaining and naturally charismatic. But while that might be true for these shows most of the time, late-night talk shows have also generated some major drama between their hosts. Most notably, things quickly soured between Jay Leno and Conan O’Brien in 2009 after O’Brien’s sudden exit from NBC.
It all began when, after hosting The Tonight Show for 17 years, Leno moved to an earlier timeslot and O’Brien finally became the host of The Tonight Show, a role he’d worked so hard and long for. O’Brien’s tenure on the seat, however, didn’t last long. After only seven months, ratings of his show and Leno’s were worrying NBC, and they pushed for a new schedule that had O’Brien’s show to 12:05 a.m. O’Brien objected to the after-midnight time slot, and NBC reached a settlement with him to end his contract. The decision was heartbreaking to O’Brien and his longtime fans. Not only did he just reach a major career milestone he worked so hard for, but it seems he never got the chance to fully give it a go. To this day, it’s still a sore subject for the host.
The End of His Talk Show Still Hits a Nerve
In a May 2025 interview with O’Brien on the Today Show, Jacob Soboroff sat down with O’Brien and asked if he ever saw his sendoff from The Tonight Show, which aired on February 20, 2009. “No, I can’t do it,” O’Brien said simply. “I’m proud of it, but I can’t. It was just a lot.” He then reflected on where his mindset was at the time. “That was a moment where I really did think, ‘Maybe it’s over for me,’” he said. At the time, O’Brien wasn’t shy about his grievances. “It was my mistaken belief that, like my predecessor, I would have the benefit of some time and, just as important, some degree of ratings support from the prime-time schedule,” O’Brien said in a statement, per CBS News. “But sadly, we were never given that chance.” After O’Brien’s departure as host, Leno resumed his hosting duties on The Tonight Show, a role he continued until 2014. Therefore, not only was the dream of hosting the prestige timeslot swiftly taken from O’Brien, but it was clear that NBC chose Leno over O’Brien, which ignited a feud and left fans up in arms.
At the time, fans immediately reacted to the host change-up. Fans cheering for “Team Conan” made it a major Twitter trend, and the “I’m With Coco” image went viral, and more than a million people joined the two major Facebook groups supporting him. Fans took their outrage to the streets too, with “I’m With Coco” rallies in Los Angeles, New York, Chicago and Seattle, many wearing orange in honor of O’Brien’s hair. At the Los Angeles rally, O’Brien himself even showed up and spoke with the crowd. In 2010, Leno also added fuel to the fire by admitting to his role in the situation. Speaking about the best prank he’s ever pulled on The Tonight Show with Jimmy Kimmel, he said, “I told a guy that five years from now I’m going to give you my show, and then when the five years came, I gave it to him, and then I took it back almost instantly.”
Of course, while O’Brien’s departure, and Leno’s attitude towards the situation, angered fans, O’Brien’s show wasn’t perfect either. After all, in the years prior to his time on The Tonight Show, O’Brien stood out because he was openly weird, self-deprecating, and often deliberately anti-polished. Unlike traditional late-night hosts in the past, O’Brien was kooky, different, and unapologetically himself. But, when he moved to NBC’s most prestigious late-night institution, his unique form of comedy was tested. The ratings expectations changed, the audience for the show changed, and, in turn, ratings started to dwindle. Seven months later, NBC pulled the plug.
O’Brien Has Been Reinventing Himself Ever Since
But while O’Brien’s departure from The Tonight Show had him questioning his career, he’s been producing great content and growing his fanbase ever since. His next step after leaving NBC was hosting Conan on TBS, and ran for an impressive 11 years. In the meantime, he also stepped outside his desk and hosted the Emmy-winning Conan Without Borders travel specials and his hugely successful podcast, Conan O’Brien Needs a Friend. Soon enough, Team Coco grew into a larger digital comedy brand before being acquired by SiriusXM in 2022, and the podcast has since surpassed 660 million downloads.
His career reinvention continued to pay off when he hosted Conan O’Brien Must Go, a travel series that turned the Without Borders concept into a full-fledged hit and is now in its third season. O’Brien also made his major awards show host debut at the 2025 Oscars, bringing in 19.69 million viewers, its highest audience in five years. He returned to host again in 2026, and is already set to return for the 99th Academy Awards on March 14, 2027. He was also inducted into the Television Academy Hall of Fame in 2025.
Ultimately, while perhaps no career success could make up for the heartbreak that was losing The Tonight Show in 2009, Conan O’Brien has been steadily making a name for himself outside the scandal ever since. While his departure was painful, his more untraditional career path became a remarkably successful second act, one that guaranteed he always had the freedom to be himself.

When it comes to chic fall footwear, you probably instantly think about black boots or white sneakers — but Jane Fonda wore the sleekest, most rich-looking alternative (and it’s none of the above). We’ve been dreaming about it for over a year, and after scouring the internet, we finally found the luxe style.
At the 2025 California Conference for Women, Fonda showed up in a purple power suit layered over a brown top. She finished the look with pointy leopard-print loafers that demanded their own spotlight. This stylish Amazon lookalike is so similar that we can’t tell the difference, and it’s on sale for only $33.

One happy shopper wrote, “I bought these Musshoe loafers for a nursing convention where I knew I’d be on my feet, moving from hotel to conference halls all day . . . these loafers were a lifesaver. They were immediately comfortable, no painful breaking-in period at all.”
Another fan noted the high-end appearance. They wrote, “I get a lot of compliments on this pair of shoes, saying they look nice and expensive.”
Slip these sophisticated shoes on with a dress, wide-leg jeans or even a two-piece set to channel your inner Fonda. No matter how you style them, you’ll look bold, rich and mega confident.

Sebastian Stan Credits This Oscar-Nominated Movie for His Mysterious ‘The Batman Part II’ Role [Exclusive]
Sebastian Stan is no stranger to superhero movies after spending more than a decade playing Bucky Barnes in the Marvel Cinematic Universe. However, his decision to cross the aisle for Matt Reeves’ The Batman Part II was never simply about adding a DC role to his resume. Instead, the opportunity emerged from one of the most unexpected and transformative projects of Stan’s career. Stan joined director Cristian Mungiu at the Toronto International Film Festival this week to promote their new drama, Fjord, which follows a Romanian family living in Norway whose children are taken away by social services.
During an interview with Collider’s Perri Nemiroff at TIFF, Stan was asked what Reeves’ sequel could still offer him after his extensive history within the superhero genre. Although the actor carefully avoided revealing anything about his mysterious character, he did explain which previous performance caught Reeves’ attention. Stan revealed that his Oscar-nominated performance as Donald Trump in Ali Abbasi’s The Apprentice directly sparked his conversations with Reeves. The actor never imagined the controversial biographical drama would eventually take him to Gotham City, but Reeves was already familiar with the filmmakers behind Stan’s more independent work. He explained:
“Well, you know what’s interesting is all these directors, they watch each other, believe it or not, even if they’re doing different sizes and stuff. Matt Reeves, he knows Cristian, and he knew Ali Abbasi. He was a big fan of The Apprentice, and that’s how that conversation started. I mean, not in a million years did I think that doing that movie was going to lead to me having a conversation with that director.”
‘The Apprentice’ Led Sebastian Stan to ‘The Batman Part II’
For Stan, blockbuster filmmaking and smaller character-driven projects are not opposing career paths, but parts of the same theatrical ecosystem. He argued that both types of movies ultimately depend on one another, particularly as the industry continues trying to convince audiences to return to theaters. While he could not offer any story details, Stan did assure fans that Reeves has approached the long-awaited The Batman sequel with considerable care:
“These worlds consistently collide, and I think the thing about these movies is those movies need these movies. And these movies, to some extent, need those. It’s an ecosystem that they all have to thrive in. It’s all for the better of getting people to the theater, which we have to do everything for. But again, if all I can say about the movie is that it’s just to say there’s real thought behind that movie, and Matt certainly has thought about it for three, four years.”
Stan joins a growing ensemble led by returning star Robert Pattinson, with Scarlett Johansson, Charles Dance, Brian Tyree Henry, and Sebastian Koch among the sequel’s new additions. Reeves returns to direct from a screenplay he co-wrote with Mattson Tomlin, while the identities of several new characters remain officially under wraps.
The Batman Part II is currently scheduled to arrive in theaters on February 18, 2028. Stay tuned at Collider for the rest of Nemiroff’s conversation with Stan and Mungiu.
