Scooter Braun Gushes Over Sydney Sweeney ‘Partnership’
Scooter Braun kicked off his girlfriend Sydney Sweeney’s 29th birthday with a glowing tribute accompanied by a video featuring plenty of PDA.
“Happy birthday to the woman who is the exception to every rule,” Braun, 45, wrote via Instagram on Saturday, September 12, alongside footage of the couple slow-dancing in front of a castle. “The person who surprised me and showed me how life with true partnership can be lived.”
He continued, “You make me smile harder, laugh louder, adventure more, and dream bigger. You’ve made the ordinary feel exciting and the future feel like something I can’t wait to get to.”
The music manager further gushed over his admittedly “corny” romance with the Euphoria alum.
“A giggle can change an entire day. And I love how corny we can be together, because nothing else matters,” he added. “There are a million things I could say, but the ones that matter most are just for you. Happy birthday Syd. Many more celebrations ahead. I love you ❤️.”
Braun also uploaded a sweet video of the pair slow dancing in a street before he picked up Sweeney. The Housemaid star subsequently wrapped her legs around her boyfriend before they shared a kiss.
Sweeney and Braun were first romantically linked in June 2025 after meeting at Jeff Bezos’ star-studded Italy wedding.
“It is not serious,” a source exclusively told Us in September 2025, noting that Sweeney was “dating around and in her single era without having any pressure” months after she broke up ex-fiancé Jonathan Davino.
After several months of casually dating, a second insider told Us in November 2025 that Sweeney and Braun’s romance was “getting serious.”
“Neither of them expected it to turn into something serious at first and are surprised by how genuine the connection has become,” the second source exclusively told Us, revealing that Sweeney and Braun were spending time together in between the actress’ busy work schedule. “Scooter is extremely supportive and that is one of the reasons why she is so drawn to him.”
Per the second insider, Braun was “deeply interested” in Sweeney’s career and life, even offering “valuable perspective and guidance” that she appreciated.
Sweeney and Braun, who shares three children with ex-wife Yael Cohen, publicly debuted their relationship in May.
“I’ve met an extraordinary woman, kind and generous and smart, and real and down-to-earth,” Braun said on the “Second Thought” podcast that month, teasing that he has become a fan of Euphoria. “I’m biased … I like it. I think there’s been an incredible performance by a certain actress.”
Sweeney returned the favor the next while celebrating her beau’s 45th birthday.
“Happiest of birthdays to the man with the biggest heart I know ❤️,” Sweeney gushed via Instagram in June. “Thank you for all the living room dances and making me smile again. A good man is rare. A man like you is once in a lifetime.”

Taylor Swift Facing Pressure After ‘Negative’ Wedding Feedback
Taylor Swift‘s latest date-night appearance with her husband, Travis Kelce, has renewed interest in their married life and raised a question many people want answered: where are the wedding photos?
The newlyweds were recently photographed together hand in hand during a Manhattan date night over two months after their July 3 star-studded wedding ceremony at Madison Square Garden.
While Travis Kelce has offered up details about the night, Taylor Swift, on the other hand, has remained mum on the subject, fueling demands from Swifties to release wedding details and especially a look at her wedding dress.

Swift and Kelce stepped out for date night at Ambassadors Clubhouse New York in Manhattan’s NoMad neighborhood, dripping in style.
The outing, which reportedly marked their first date night as newlyweds, saw Swift turning heads in a dress by Stella McCartney and Kelce accompanying her in a more casual outfit.
However, the attention following the outing quickly turned to their wedding, which the couple had mostly been secretive about.
There has been no official photo of Swift and Kelce from inside the wedding despite the scale of the ceremony, and the silence has left a good portion of Swift’s fanbase asking for even the tiniest details.
According to the Daily Mail, one fan begged, “I just need to see the wedding dress. They don’t even need to be on her. Photos on a mannequin will do.”
Another reflected on the time they spent being a fan of the pop star and couldn’t fathom not seeing her wedding dress.

Still addressing the singer’s wedding, one fan made it pretty clear there are consequences to not updating Swifties: “I’m unstanning Taylor because where are those damn wedding pics.”
Swift has previously been fairly open to sharing some details about her personal life with her fanbase, and they have come to expect it. However, the silence since the nuptials is particularly deafening.
The “Shake it Off” singer has shown no indication that she plans to even release official wedding photographs, but speculation abounds as to what the deal is.
Sources also stated that Swift knows jokes are being made about her wedding on social media, particularly the activities involving raffle draws.
One insider noted that the singer is acutely aware of the “online jokes surrounding the designer handbags gifted to guests.”
Speculations Surrounding Taylor Swift’s Silence Amid ‘Negative Feedback’

The lack of photographs has also made people wonder why the singer is withholding the wedding pictures, leading to speculations that it might point to plans for a future project.
A source told the Daily Mail, “Everyone is convinced she is doing a documentary about the wedding, or maybe even a music video to go with a song about the wedding.”
The source added that others are hoping Swift is planning to release a whole wedding album with several “wedding-themed music videos.”
Another insider had a different take on the matter. They suggested that Swift may simply be biding her time and waiting for the “backlash” surrounding the wedding to die down.
“There was negative feedback to the wedding. It’s like she needs some time to pass so the backlash wears off,” the insider told the outlet.
The “backlash” in question refers to the response from critics who were not pleased with the lavishness of the wedding, which led to street closures near the Garden, a huge police presence, and general disruption that allegedly hit businesses in the area.
Some critics have reportedly dubbed her “Marie Antoinette,” referencing the famous symbol of excess whose lavish lifestyle and willful ignorance of the struggles of normal people is seen as being partly responsible for the French Revolution.
Travis Kelce Spills On The Wedding’s Privacy

While Swift has been silent on the matter, her hubby has at least publicly provided information about the couple’s decision to keep the event largely undocumented.
According to Elle, Kansas City’s tight end explained on the season 5 premiere of his “New Heights” podcast that guests were required to surrender their devices.
“With no phones, you know, people not having to be on guard. It makes everyone be in the moment and be present,” Kelce said.
Kelce explained that they needed the wedding to feel “private” and Madison Square Garden went “above and beyond” to grant their wish.
He also described the celebration as “a very magical, magical night.”
Taylor Swift ‘Doesn’t Owe Her Fans A Glimpse Into That Day Until She’s Ready To Share,’ Source Says

Swift’s insistence on keeping the matter quiet is reportedly because she doesn’t consider it an obligation to give fans access to her wedding day.
According to a Daily Mail source, “She doesn’t owe her fans a glimpse into that day until she’s ready to share it.”
The source explained that Swift releasing the photos is not going to be “transactional,” that she’s not going to release the photos just to “sell an album or coincide with some big announcement.”
The “I Knew It, I Knew You” singer reportedly “loves” being able to decide what happens with her photos and who gets to see them, if any at all.
As fans continue grasping for details about the wedding photos, Swift maintains their privacy and is not likely to change her mind on the matter anytime soon.

Guy Ritchie’s ‘Indiana Jones’-Style Adventure Is Officially a 250-Day Streaming Megahit
Guy Ritchie has released several new projects in 2026, some successful and some underwhelming, but one of his most recent movies is finally getting its due on streaming. Ritchie opened the year by turning to Prime Video to expand the Sherlock Holmes universe via the Young Sherlock prequel series, which has been renewed for Season 2. Ritchie then returned to the big screen for the first time in a few years for In The Grey, the new action thriller co-starring Henry Cavill and Jake Gyllenhaal. The film bombed at the box office despite some heavy star power, but it’s gone on to become a streaming hit on VOD platforms like Prime Video. One of Ritchie’s projects that dropped straight-to-streaming in 2025 was Fountain of Youth, which has been billed as a mash-up of both Indiana Jones and Uncharted.
Fountain of Youth premiered last May, and with stars like John Krasinski, Natalie Portman, and Eiza Gonzalez at the helm, it’s safe to say Apple TV had lofty expectations for the epic action-adventure thriller. The film came out of the gates with some of the worst reviews of any Ritchie-directed action feature, but that hasn’t stopped it from becoming one of the top 10 most-watched movies in the world for the streamer over the last year. It’s even been in the top 10 for over 250 days now, a streaming accomplishment that few shows or movies ever reach. Fountain of Youth has even outperformed many newer arrivals, managing to cling to a spot in the top 10 while other movies come and go over the course of a few weeks.
What Is ‘Fountain of Youth’ About?
Apple TV’s official synopsis for Fountain of Youth, which earned poor scores of 35% from critics and 38% from audiences on Rotten Tomatoes, reads as follows: “A treasure-hunting mastermind assembles a team for a big adventure. But to outwit and outrun threats at every turn, he’ll need someone even smarter, his estranged sister.” Fountain of Youth was not given a theatrical release, and the film was instead dropped straight-to-streaming on Apple TV last year. Domhnall Gleeson, best known for his role as General Hux in the Star Wars sequel trilogy, also stars in Fountain of Youth, alongside The Boys veteran Laz Alonso. Stanley Tucci also stars.
Check out Fountain of Youth on Apple TV and stay tuned to Collider for more updates and coverage of Guy Ritchie’s future projects.

Ranking Khloé Kardashian’s Protein-Packed Khloud Chips
Reality star Khloé Kardashian has moved from reality TV to the snack aisle. After launching her Khloud protein popcorn, she moved on to a new product: chips. With three flavors to try – Nacho, Buffalo, and Sweet Heat – see which one we ranked as our favorite and which aren’t worth the price tag.
#3 Buffalo Was Our Least Popular Khloud Flavor

If you like chips that are marketed as Chile and Lime, then this chip might be right up your alley. Unfortunately for us, this didn’t have the bold Buffalo taste that we were looking for. It had a very astringent lime flavor that didn’t make it stand out.
#2 Nacho Was Missing That Cheesy Texture

It seems hard to miss with a Nacho chip, but this one didn’t do it for us either. There was very little cheese flavoring, and the powder didn’t stick to our fingertips like it would if you were eating Doritos or Cheetos. Perhaps it was the way the whey powder mixed with the cheese powder, but the ratio definitely needs to be adjusted.
#1 Sweet Heat Created A Craveable BBQ Chip

Sweet Heat was by far the best and the only one that we would buy again. These chips had a very strong BBQ flavor that we enjoyed. The sweetness was not overpowering and had more of a subdued honey flavor that perfectly complemented the BBQ. While the other chips weren’t as addictive, these were hard to put down.

So are her Khloud Protein Chips better than Doritos?
Check out our comparison of the two chips, where we compare the calories, protein, carbs, and taste!
A Quick Recap Of Our Khloé Kardashian’s Khloud Popcorn

Although Khloud protein has since branched out with unique flavors like birthday cake and cinnamon roll, the three OG flavors were Olive Oil and Sea Salt, White Cheddar, and Sweet and Salty Kettle Corn.
In our previous rankings, the White Cheddar rose to the top and was the clear winner. The whey protein powder and the white cheddar powder mixed together to create the perfect combination of protein powder and cheese flavor.

Olive Oil and Sea Salt were ranked last for just that reason. They weren’t salty, and they taste very strongly of whey protein powder. If you’ve ever tried cooking with straight whey protein powder and licked it off your fingers, you’ll know it’s not that appealing. It wasn’t any better on popcorn.
We kept going back and forth with Sweet and Salty Kettle Corn. We actually got two bags of this. One was a dud and had the same whey problem as the Olive Oil and Sea Salt. However, the sweetness was cranked to the max in the second bag, and we found that they might have actually been a bit too sweet. So be warned: your mileage may vary.
What Is Khloé Kardashian Up To Now?

In a recent interview with The Hollywood Reporter, the “Keeping Up With The Kardashians” reality star confirmed that “The Kardashians” will return to Hulu for its eighth season later this year.
She also addressed why she has no plans to return to acting and revealed the surprising new direction for her podcast.
Khloé also talked about how she is getting more comfortable behind the camera with her new reality show, “The Girls,” which features her famous friends and is currently available to stream on Hulu. She serves as an executive producer for the series, which stars Nicole Williams English, Olivia Pierson, Khadijah Haqq-McCray, Natalie Halcro, Malika Haqq and Yris Palmer.

“I really do enjoy it. I think with your friends, it’s a different level of work involved because it does get very personal. But I still really enjoy it,” she told THR.
“I like being a therapist in a way to people,” she continued. “But businessly, I find it really cool, really creative. I like the ins and outs of it all. So yeah, I could see myself doing more.”

Daniel Day-Lewis’ First Movie in 8 Years Officially Gets a Second Chance on HBO Max
Daniel Day-Lewis is undeniably one of the greatest actors to ever grace the screen. The only male actor in Academy Awards history to win three Best Actor Oscars — My Left Foot (1989), There Will Be Blood (2007), and Lincoln (2012) — Day-Lewis has a long and storied catalog of performances, which culminated in one of his very best in 2017. In Paul Thomas Anderson’s Phantom Thread, Day-Lewis had seemingly ended his career on a high, declaring his retirement before the film had hit theaters.
Day-Lewis had become tired of acting and drew a line in his career with Phantom Thread, even admitting that he didn’t want to watch the finished film. However, after almost a decade away, Day-Lewis was enticed out of retirement in 2025 with the chance to work with his son, Ronan Day-Lewis, who was making his feature directorial debut with Anemone. Described as exploring “the complex and profound ties that exist between brothers, fathers, and sons,” this highly unconventional slow-burner features Day-Lewis alongside the likes of Sean Bean, Samantha Morton, and Samuel Bottomley.
Anemone received a limited theatrical release in October 2025, only lasting two weekends in domestic theaters and being released in just 879 locations. Worldwide, Anemone earned $1.6 million, with the majority coming from domestic ticket sales. This was against a production budget of $14 million, with the Day-Lewis return not enough to help Anemone turn a profit. Now on streaming, Anemone has bounced back from its underwhelming box office performance, officially ranking as one of the ten most-streamed movies on HBO Max worldwide at the time of writing. This is made all the more impressive considering Anemone is going head-to-head with the likes of Alejandro G. Iñárritu‘s The Revenant and Blade Runner 2049.
What Did Critics Say About ‘Anemone’?
Much like its underwhelming box office run, Anemone also disappointed in its critical reception, illustrated by a mixed 52% average score on the review aggregator Rotten Tomatoes. For Collider, Ross Bonaime reviewed the film, labeling Anemone one of Day-Lewis’ “worst movies” and awarding it a 5/10, adding, “While it’s certainly great that Daniel Day-Lewis is back in his element, and Ronan Day-Lewis can craft impressive, imposing imagery, Anemone is just too much empty space, waiting to be filled with something.”

Bringing Up Bates’ Katie Bates Slams Pregnancy Rumors Again
Bringing Up Bates alum Katie Bates is hitting back at ongoing pregnancy speculation — again.
“Y’all, first we made it through flight 1,” Bates, 25, wrote via her Instagram Stories on Saturday, September 12. “Second, I promise I’m not pregnant lol.”
According to Bates, she has “struggled with motion sickness” her “whole life,” especially in the mornings.
Bates revealed earlier on Saturday that she and her husband, Travis Clark, were taking their two children on their first international vacation to Greece.
“Traveling with toddlers is always an adventure, but getting to take them along and experience all of this together as a family is something I’ll never take for granted,” she captioned airport photos of kids Hailey, 3, and Harvey, 23 months. ”So worth it every time.”
In a follow-up Stories slide, Bates noted that she had taken two dramamine pills in an attempt to get ahead of her motion sickness.
“Two dramamine deep and the motion sickness is still winning,” she quipped. “Hanging on for dear life over here.”

Katie, one of Kelly Jo and Gil Bates’ 19 children, hit back at pregnancy speculation earlier this month. During a September 5 Q&A session via her Instagram Stories, Katie admitted that she received “lots” of questions about whether she and Clark, 25, were expanding their family.
“No, I’m not pregnant,” Katie stated at the time. “[I’m] just soaking in the two sweet babies we have.”
Katie, who has been married to the nursing student since 2021, revealed in January that she suffered a pregnancy loss. Within hours, Clark issued a public apology for cheating on his wife.
This is hard to write, but I owe the truth and I owe an apology. I was unfaithful to my wife,” Clark wrote in a statement shared via his Instagram Stories. “I had an affair and repeatedly broke her trust. There is no excuse for what I did. This was my failure and my responsibility alone. I know that words don’t begin to express the damage I caused or the depth of the hurt I’ve brought into her life, but I am truly sorry.”
The pair, who recently moved their family to Texas, have since been recommitted to working on their marriage.
“I’ve been sitting in what I did for a couple months now, and I feel so much inside but it’s hard to find the right words,” Clark wrote in a follow-up upload in March. “At the end of last year, I made decisions I deeply regret. I’m disappointed, ashamed, and honestly, disgusted with myself.”
He continued at the time, “The last couple months have been humbling. A lot of hard work, therapy, time with God. I know I’m not owed anything, but I am desperately fighting for my wife and my family every single day.”

Rock of Love’s Daisy De La Hoya Says Corey Feldman ‘Saved’ Her
Rock of Love alum Daisy De La Hoya is crediting a dear friend for saving her life amid her addiction struggles and after previously revealing she is homeless and unable to work.
“I have suffered from addiction and I was in a situation where my addiction got very bad,” she said while speaking to TMZ in an interview published on Saturday, September 12. “I was being evicted and some really good friends of mine helped me. I’m very close with Corey Feldman — he’s, like, my best friend. He’s been my best friend for over 18 years now and I love him to death and he saved my life.”
She continued, “I was living in Las Vegas, where I’m currently doing a reality show out there right now with some good friends. And I was living there and he picked me up and, you know, helped me save my dog — took my dog in – and I ended up in Ocean Side [California] getting recovery and I’ve been clean now since February 29, 2024 … He just got my stuff — got my dog and put me back in California and I just spent all that time since 2024 just recovering.”
De La Hoya went on to claim that she “lost everything” as a result of her relocating to California for substance abuse treatment.
“I lost my relationship, I lost my apartment,” she continued. “I was homeless — like, legitimately homeless — and I spent all the time in shelters. I was assaulted. You know, I was unfortunately assaulted.”

She added, “I’m not happy or proud of myself for what happened but I’m so grateful that I have recovered and I’m here today and my journey is still in recovery. I’m so grateful to not be on drugs.”
The former reality TV star revealed last month that she is currently unhoused and unable to secure any work in order to financially support herself in the wake of her addiction struggles.
“I’m poor and homeless, that’s the truth,” the VHI star told the Daily Mail in August. “I’m staying with a friend, but it’s a temporary thing, and I’m in school and looking for a freakin’ job.”
She added of her financial struggles at the time, “It’s embarrassing, and it’s very hard, but I keep searching. I don’t know what it is about me, but I guess God does not want me to have a job. I’d work at McDonald’s, Starbucks, anything. Maybe I’m overqualified or maybe I’m underqualified. I don’t know.”
Viewers were introduced to De La Hoya when she appeared on 2008’s season 2 of Rock of Love With Bret Michaels. After coming in second place, the reality star earned her own dating show called Daisy of Love.
While speaking to the Daily Mail, De La Hoya claimed she does not receive any residuals from her reality dating series, contributing to her financial issues.
“It’s still there on streaming platforms, but I don’t get any of that money,” she claimed. “The good news is that I’m still getting fans and people can watch it, but I don’t get any money from it.”
In addition to finding sobriety, De La Hoya revealed she’s also on medication for anxiety and a diagnosed bipolar disorder.
You have a different perspective after hitting rock bottom and losing everything. And I was lucky, but I’ve had to crawl my way back and I’m still crawling my way back up,” she said. “I don’t think of myself as being famous or being somebody. I just think of myself as a person who did a thing and wants to continue to be part of the entertainment industry. But sometimes I think I need to just give up on entertainment because at this point I just need a job.”

One of the 21st Century’s Most Stunning Sci-Fi Movies Is Officially Streaming for Free
It has been a solid summer for original sci-fi, although no movie has truly broken out at the box office. Steven Spielberg returned to the genre after nearly a decade with Disclosure Day, which grossed $241 million worldwide, while Ridley Scott‘s first sci-fi movie since 2017, The Dog Stars, has barely recouped half of its reported $70 million budget. J.J. Abrams returned to the genre as well, albeit as a producer. His new movie, The End of Oak Street, directed by David Robert Mitchell, has made around $115 million globally against a reported budget of $80 million. Spielberg, Scott, and Abrams, each of whom was at the front and center of the marketing for their respective films, are all synonymous with sci-fi. But the theatrical landscape isn’t what it used to be even as recently as the 2000s and the 2010s, when a bold original genre movie could come along and shatter box-office expectations. One such movie is streaming for free in the United States, as rumors of a sequel continue to swirl.
The film in question was released in 2009, and was directed by Neill Blomkamp, a first-time feature filmmaker who was adapting his own short. The short had caught the attention of Peter Jackson, who became attached to the feature adaptation as a producer. The jump for Blomkamp was similar to how directors Curry Barker and Kane Parsons transitioned to mainstream moviemaking this year after making YouTube videos. Also around the same time as Blomkamp, Fede Álvarez caught Hollywood’s attention with a viral sci-fi short, and was eventually hired to direct the Evil Dead remake.
Here’s Where You Can Watch the Sci-Fi Hit for Free
But we’re talking about Blomkamp’s District 9, a sci-fi allegory about apartheid, set in the filmmaker’s home country of South Africa. The movie starred Sharlto Copley and was a major box-office hit. It grossed $210 million worldwide against a reported budget of $30 million and received positive reviews. It now sits at a “Certified Fresh” 90% score on the aggregator website Rotten Tomatoes, where the consensus reads, “Technically brilliant and emotionally wrenching, District 9 has action, imagination, and all the elements of a thoroughly entertaining science-fiction classic.” District 9 received four Oscar nominations, including in the Best Picture category. You can watch the movie on Pluto TV this month, and stay tuned to Collider for more updates.

NeNe Leakes Says Kim Zolciak Is ‘Not OK’ After Son KJ’s Arrest
The Real Housewives of Atlanta alum NeNe Leakes is revealing how former costar Kim Zolciak is faring amid her son Kroy “KJ” Biermann Jr’s arrest and disturbing allegations of sexual assault and having sex with a minor female relative.
“I recently spoke to Kim, I think it was last week,” Leakes, 58, said while appearing on the Friday, September 11, episode of the “Big Tigger Morning Show.”
“I just hit her up, wanting to know how she’s doing, congratulating her on [her daughter] Brielle [Biermann] and making sure she was okay with what her son [KJ] is dealing with — I know that’s a tough time and I know she’s not okay,” Leakes continued. “So I wanted to reach out. And I did, okay? I reach out to a lot of these girls. We just reach out to each other. But we’re not in contact on the daily basis.”
Zolciak’s 15-year-old son KJ was arrested in August on aggravated sexual assault and aggravated sodomy charges over an alleged incident with an unidentified minor female at a local gym. He was subsequently indicted on charges of aggravated child molestation, aggravated sexual battery, aggravated sodomy, false imprisonment and three counts of sexual battery against a child under the age of 16.
“The allegations being made against my son are nothing short of reckless and deeply troubling,” Zolciak, 48, said in part of a lengthy statement to Us on August 21 in the wake of her son’s arrest. “He categorically denies ever being involved with this woman or engaging in the conduct she has alleged. My son voluntarily took a polygraph examination regarding these allegations and passed. Additionally, an examination was conducted, and no DNA belonging to my son was found.”
Following KJ’s arrest, investigators discovered footage on KJ’s phone that showed him and an unidentified family member under the age of 12 engaging in sexual activity, according to Deputy District Attorney Caitlin McGillicuddy. Per prosecutors, they allegedly also found evidence of “multiple encounters” where KJ used “predatory [and] derogatory” language toward the victim.
KJ has not publicly addressed the latest accusations. Us has reached out to his lawyer for comment.
In addition to revealing she reached out to Zolciack in the wake of her son’s legal troubles, Leakes also gave an update on where she stands with all of her former costars and current Housewives.
“I’m cool with Kim,” she revealed. “Friend? You know, when you say the word friend, that’s just a serious word to me so that’s just… Friend? No. Associates? Yes.”
She continued, “If I need to call Porsha [Williams], K. Michelle, any of them on the show they all will answer. I don’t have no beef with them to the level that they won’t answer my call. Girls from the past, If I called Shereé [Whitfield] right now she would answer. Damn if I called Kandi [Burruss] she would answer. I don’t have enough beef with them where they’re just not going to answer my call. I’m not fighting with anybody — I call Kenya [Moore], she’s answering. Marlo [Hampton], she’s answering. Cynthia [Bailey] — I just spoke to her, like, two days ago. We just don’t have a beef. We’re just not close like people would think that we are but we don’t have a beef.”

8 Most Fun Fantasy Shows of All Time, Ranked
Fantasy television has been one of the most popular genres in the world for a long time, but it really hit its peak in the ’90s and 2000s, with high-concept supernatural fantasies and elaborate world-building, covering every subgenre from heartwarming family stories to grittier, more complex narratives. Some of those iconic fantasy shows are deeply detailed in their storytelling and world-building, while others are pure fun, without any deeply layered message or glorious production. But what all of them have in common is their undeniable ability to entertain.
The last few decades produced some of the most iconic fantasy shows on American television, now considered modern classics. Even if some of these shows may not be as popular as they used to be, they’re still icons of the genre that continue to command dedicated fan followings. With that in mind, here’s our ranked selection of some of the most fun fantasy shows of all time.
8
‘Once Upon a Time’ (2011–2018)
A fantasy drama created by Lost and Tron: Legacy writers Edward Kitsis and Adam Horowitz, Once Upon a Time stars Jennifer Morrison as Emma Swan, who meets her long-lost son Henry and is brought to the town of Storybrooke, populated entirely by cursed fairy-tale characters. The story shifts between the real-world town and the fantastical fairy tale world that these characters originally came from. Besides Morrison, the series stars Ginnifer Goodwin, Lana Parrilla, Josh Dallas, Jared S. Gilmore, Robert Carlyle, and more in key roles.
Blending fairy tales and contemporary mystery drama, Once Upon a Time is a highly imaginative show that turns classic Disney heroes and villains inside out. The show heavily relies on dramatic dialogue, theatrical magic, and campy comedy, which might feel soapy but makes for an engaging comfort show. Hopeful and positive, Once Upon a Time is praiseworthy for the effective plot twists, imaginative storytelling, and the standout performances by Morrison, Goodwin, and Parrilla.
7
‘Merlin’ (2008–2012)
Created by Julian Jones, Jake Michie, Johnny Capps, and Julian Murphy, Merlin is a British fantasy adventure drama series loosely adapted from the Arthurian legends, depicting the close friendship between King Arthur and his court wizard, Merlin. In the show, a young Merlin (Colin Morgan) is sent off to Camelot, where he rescues Prince Arthur (Bradley James) and becomes his most trusted aide, helping the young prince fulfill his destiny of greatness. The series also features Angel Coulby, Katie McGrath, Richard Wilson, John Hurt, and more as important characters.
Merlin is a cozy low-fantasy show that puts a lighthearted spin on the folklore of medieval mythology with fascinating worldbuilding and stunning visuals that won the series a BAFTA TV Award in 2011. The show reimagines the ancient legends of Merlin and Arthur as two young contemporaries navigating identity, loyalty, and destiny. Their fun dynamic, shifting from bickering frenemies to devoted friends, forms the heartwarming core of the show, which has made it enduringly popular with fans.
6
‘Charmed’ (1998–2006)
The WB Network’s second-longest drama series, created by Constance M. Burge, Charmed follows the story of three sisters possessing magical powers that they use to protect innocent lives from evil forces. While maintaining a “normal life” in modern-day San Francisco, the sisters navigate the challenges and consequences of their unique abilities, which also impact their social and romantic lives. The main characters, played by Shannen Doherty, Holly Marie Combs, Alyssa Milano, and Rose McGowan, grew to become pop culture icons of their time and are still beloved by fans today.
The first primetime television show about a coven of witches, Charmed became the longest-running hour-long TV series featuring an all-female lead cast in 2006, a title it held until it was surpassed by Desperate Housewives in 2012. Fun and campy with a cozy ’90s vibe, Charmed is an immensely popular fantasy drama, even if parts of it may now seem dated. The show left a lasting legacy with its depiction of witchcraft, influencing future fantasy and supernatural shows and even sparking academic discussions surrounding the genre.
5
‘Sabrina the Teenage Witch’ (1996–2003)
Created by Nell Scovell and based on the 1971 Archie Comics series of the same name by Dan DeCarlo and George Gladir, Sabrina the Teenage Witch follows the titular teenager who learns on her 16th birthday that she has magical powers. Living with her two eccentric, centuries-old aunts, Hilda and Zelda, and their talking cat, Salem, Sabrina learns to control her newfound powers while navigating teenage trials, with hilarious outcomes. The series stars Melissa Joan Hart as Sabrina, with Caroline Rhea, Beth Broderick, Nick Bakay, and Nate Richert in other main roles.
Sabrina the Teenage Witch is a lighthearted fantasy that blends magical mishaps with silly teenage comedy in a breezy narrative style. The fantasy sitcom successfully captures the spirit of the ’90s and ranks among the best fantasy shows of the decade. While it was not a critical darling, Sabrina the Teenage Witch was a cult favorite that stood out at the time with its charm, wit, and layered humor.

‘Wizards of Waverly Place’ (2007–2012)
A fantasy teen sitcom that transformed Selena Gomez from a child actor to a global star, Wizards of Waverly Place revolves around her character, Alex Russo, a teenage wizard living in the titular neighborhood of New York City. Alongside her brothers, Justin and Max, Alex trains to hone her magical abilities but faces challenges in keeping them a secret while navigating her teenage life. Created by Todd J. Greenwald, the sitcom also stars David Henrie, Jake T. Austin, Jennifer Stone, Maria Canals-Barrera, and David DeLuise as main characters.
Wizards of Waverly Place is a highly entertaining fantasy sitcom that blends magic with relatable family comedy. The show derives its fun from the everyday mischief, chaotic spell mishaps, and funny sibling rivalry of Alex, Justin, and Max, and has been praised for Gomez’s comic timing and endearing performance. With its themes of family, friendship, and teenage life of the 2000s, Wizards of Waverly Place is a charming and cheeky modern Disney (TV) classic.

‘Lucifer’ (2016–2021)
Developed by Tom Kapinos, Lucifer is an urban fantasy series reimagined from and named after the titular DC Comics character created by Neil Gaiman, Sam Kieth, and Mike Dringenberg in The Sandman comics. Starring Tom Ellis as the central protagonist, the series follows the Devil as he abandons Hell and moves to Los Angeles as a nightclub owner, where his life takes an unexpected turn when he becomes a civilian consultant to the LAPD and encounters Detective Chloe Decker, played by Lauren German. Kevin Alejandro, D. B. Woodside, Lesley-Ann Brandt, Rachael Harris, and Aimee Garcia play other key characters.
While the show did not open to great acclaim, Lucifer quickly transitioned into a cult hit and eventually evolved into a massive streaming success. Part fantasy, part procedural, the show is enjoyable because it refuses to take anything seriously, but still delivers its story with the utmost charm and flourish. Powered by Ellis’s deliciously dark depiction of the Devil, Lucifer is thoroughly entertaining and often heartwarming, ranking among the best crime comedies of the 21st century.

‘What We Do in the Shadows’ (2019–2024)
Created by Jemaine Clement, What We Do in the Shadows is a comedy-horror mockumentary series based on the 2014 film of the same name by Clement and Taika Waititi. The FX series revolves around five vampire roommates and their daily struggles with the modern world, other supernatural forces, and sharing a house. The show stars Kayvan Novak, Matt Berry, Natasia Demetriou, Harvey Guillén, Mark Proksch, and Kristen Schaal, with Clement and Waititi reprising their characters as guest stars.
What We Do in the Shadows merges ancient monsters with mundane modern New York life in an exceptionally entertaining and uniquely creative way. The combination of absurdist fantasy and dark, straight-faced comedy not only feels refreshing for the genre, but also ridiculously funny. Even though it was a cult favorite during its run, What We Do in the Shadows has since remained an underrated fantasy series that deserves to be watched by a much bigger audience.

‘Good Witch’ (2015–2021)
Developed by Craig Pryce and Sue Tenney, Good Witch is a continuation of the series of Hallmark films of the same name, following the story of a good-natured witch and widowed mother, Cassie Nightingale, who starts a new life in the fictional town of Middleton with her teenage daughter Grace. When a new neighbor moves in next door, they start suspecting Cassie and Grace of something fishy, leading to silly mishaps. Catherine Bell stars as Cassie, with Bailee Madison, James Denton, Catherine Disher, and Sarah Power as key characters.
Good Witch is rather a cozy and heartfelt show and not high-energy entertainment like most fantasy comedies, making it a great pick for a comfort watch. The show’s success largely relies on kindness, community, and practical wisdom, with its magic feeling more subtle and grounded than that of its contemporaries. Good Witch was not just popular during its run, but continues to enjoy a dedicated fanbase and is widely praised for Catherine Bell’s charming depiction of Cassie, who is undoubtedly one of television’s best witches.

Lady Gaga Shared Motherhood Priorities Before Welcoming Baby
Lady Gaga predicted what she would be like as a mom nearly one year before reportedly welcoming her first baby.
“Disappear? I don’t think so. But look, I think music will be a part of our child’s life,” Gaga, 40, said on a July 2025 episode of The Howard Stern Show when asked whether she planned to take a step back from the spotlight after becoming a parent. “I also have to see what it’s like and what our kid needs, you know?”
Gaga has been engaged to Michael Polansky since 2024. News broke on Friday, September 11, that Gaga and Polansky, 42, quietly welcomed baby No. 1. (The couple has not publicly confirmed the news. Us reached out for comment at the time.)
While speaking with host Howard Stern, Gaga speculated on how her priorities would likely shift if and when she became a first-time parent.
“I just really want them to have a very safe and happy childhood, so you’re not wrong that that will become my No. 1 priority,” she added during her radio appearance after Stern, 72, guessed the pop star would go “all-in” on family duties. “You’re actually right on the money with that.”
Gaga was first romantically linked to Polansky in 2019 after the pair were introduced by her mother. (Gaga’s mom, Cynthia Germanotta, first met Polansky at a charity event.)
“I had never met anyone like Michael. He’s so smart and so kind. And his life and my life are very different,” Gaga told Vogue in September 2024. “He’s a very private guy and he’s not with me for any other reason than that we are right for each other. I think what I want my fans to know is that I’m just, like, so happy. I’m healthy.”
She continued at the time, “I feel like the last time they heard from me — in this way — was Chromatica, and that album was about an absolutely horrible time for me with my mental health. I was in a really dark place. I struggled for, like, many years before that. But everything started to change.”
According to Gaga, Polansky “wasn’t afraid to truly hold my hand” and get to know her on “a very deep level.”
“I didn’t know much about her and honestly wasn’t sure what to expect,” he recalled to the outlet. “I was struck immediately by her warmth and openness — she was so genuinely curious about what my life was like growing up in Minnesota.”
