Holidaymakers heading to East Midlands Airport in the coming week could face delays when going there.
Jet2 has shared an update on road closures and encouraged its passengers to allow plenty of time.
Britons are usually advised to arrive at the airport two to three hours before their flights and they may need to allow extra time in the Midlands.
Jet2 stated: “We want to advise you of road closures surrounding East Midlands Airport and affecting the M1 Junction 24 Island, from December 13 to 19, between the hours of 8pm and 6am.
Getting to the airport may take longer

“Please arrive at the airport at least two hours before your departure time. Check-in closes 40 minutes before a flight’s departure time.”
Jet2 has ongoing advice for anyone heading on holiday to make their journey as simple as possible.
It advises customers to regularly check for updates on their flights and see if any delays or cancellations are likely.
It shared: “Please check this section of the website at least 12 hours before your flight for the latest flight information.
“Further information can be found by using the [Jet2] search panel by entering your flight number or route.
“In the event of flight disruption our dedicated Operations teams are working hard behind the scenes at our UK-based HQ to get you on your way as soon as possible.”
In other Jet2 news, the airline has announced routes to five brand-new destinations including Greece and Italy.
Holidaymakers will be able to choose from more options for summer 2025 and 2026 when departing from several airports across the UK.
Three new Greek destinations will be available this coming summer, introducing the islands of Poros, Aegina and Leros to customers.
The islands of Poros and Aegina can be reached by flights to Athens Airport from Manchester, Birmingham and London Stansted, with ferries or private transfers to the location.
