Taste of China Cockfield closed after family emergency

Taste of China Cockfield, based at 52 Front Street in Cockfield, Teesdale, confirmed the closure in a message to customers, saying: “Hi everyone, Taste of China will not be open until further notice because a family emergency has occurred.

“Sorry for any inconvenience and we hope everyone has a Happy New Year. Thanks.”

The Chinese and Japanese takeaway is well known in the area for its generous portions and wide-ranging menu, which includes vegetarian and Japanese options alongside traditional Chinese dishes.

Located in the heart of Cockfield, Taste of China Cockfield has built a strong reputation for flavourful food, freshly prepared meals and a warm, welcoming atmosphere.

No date has been given for when the takeaway may reopen.
