How Citigroup Shares Can Keep Up Their Winning Run
For the first time in a long time, shares of Citigroup C 0.72%increase; green up pointing triangle aren’t starting the year in the discount aisle. So will investors keep snapping them up?
Following a 70% return in 2025, shares of the global banking behemoth finished the year trading solidly above book value, at about 1.1 times, and over 1.2 times tangible book value. Not since 2008 has Citigroup’s stock entered a year trading at such a premium to book, according to FactSet data.
