Karol G made history Sunday night as the first Latina to ever headline Coachella, and she didn’t waste the moment. Taking the stage slightly behind schedule at around 10:30 p.m., the global superstar delivered a visually striking performance that blended storytelling, cultural pride, and a lineup of surprise guests.

Karol G kicked off her set with a cave painting-style video that introduced a narrative of a wild, free woman who loses her voice while trying to conform, only to reclaim her power and rise again. Moments later, she emerged onstage, launching into “Latina Foreva,” followed by “Un Gatito Me Llamo,” immediately setting the tone for the night.

The show quickly turned into a star-powered event. Mariah Angeliq was the first to join Karol G onstage for “El Makinon,” followed by Becky G, who performed their hit “Mamiii.”

The surprises didn’t stop there. Karol G also brought out reggaeton icon Wisin and Cigarettes After Sex frontman Greg Gonzalez.

While many praised the performance, not all reactions were positive. Some critics took to social media with harsh takes, with one writing, “The show was ultra raunchy with a satanic vibe. Really sick.”

Another added, “Temu version of Shakira.”

Others criticized the broader festival experience, with comments like, “Coachella is a perfect example of everything wrong about modern life. What was once a fun music festival for those participating has been entirely commercialized and now politicized.”

“Music festivals sure sound fun these days!! You get a side of social justice lecturing with your mediocre music, woohoo.”

Beyond the music, Karol G used her platform to speak directly to her audience, emphasizing that her historic achievement represented something much bigger. “It’s not just about me; this is about my Latina community, this is about my people,” she told the crowd.

She continued with a heartfelt message aimed at those facing challenges. “At the same time, this is about my Latinos who have been struggling in this country lately,” she said. “We stand for them. I stand for my Latina community. I’m proud because this brings out the best of us, unity, resiliance, a strong spirit.”

The artist went on to say, “We don’t do this because we want to take everyone out, we do this because we want everyone to feel welcome to our culture, to our music. I want everyone to feel proud of where you come from. Please don’t feel scared, feel proud. Raise your flag.”

Karol G has been vocal about body image in the past, even calling out a major publication for digitally altering her appearance.

In 2023, the singer criticized GQ Mexico after noticing significant edits made to her cover photo, sharing a side-by-side comparison with a bare-faced selfie on social media. “I don’t even know where to start this message. Today, my GQ magazine cover was made public, a cover with an image that DOES NOT represent me,” she wrote.

Karol G made it clear she embraces her natural look, adding, “My face does not look like this. My body does not look like that, and I feel very happy and comfortable with how I look naturally.”

She also revealed that her excitement about the cover quickly faded due to the changes. “I was very happy when they confirmed it would be there, but despite making clear my discontent with the number of [edits] they did [to] the photo, they didn’t do anything about it,” she shared.

The experience left her questioning the message behind the edits. “As if to look good, I needed all those changes,” she said.

Around the same time, Karol G also addressed body-shaming head-on after an Instagram user criticized her appearance in a recent post, specifically pointing out her stomach. Rather than ignoring the comment, the singer shared it publicly and used the moment to send a message of self-acceptance to her fans.

“It’s not about whether or not my body favors me, because well, that’s my body and that’s how it is,” Karol wrote on her Instagram Stories, before adding a lighthearted explanation tied to a recent viral moment. “The tummy was because of the hot dog that someone gave me at a show a few days ago.”

She then turned the focus back to her audience, encouraging confidence and self-love. “Never let comments like these distort how beautiful you look … Everybody is different … Everyone is beautiful just the way they are.”

Brooke Hogan at 2019 CMT Music Awards

Brooke Hogan has been very open about her relationship with her father, Hulk Hogan, following his July 2025 death, and in a recent interview, the former reality star shared more insight into what caused their years-long estrangement.

As the one-year anniversary of her father’s death nears this summer, Brooke Hogan revealed the fractured nature of their relationship that led to a complete separation of the once close father-daughter duo.

In an exclusive interview with Us Weekly, Brooke Hogan opened up about how Hulk Hogan’s inner circle led her to decide to distance herself from her father for two years before his death.

“He said, ‘You go this way, I go that way,’” she told the outlet. “That hurt. I could see what was happening with him with the people around him. I could also see his potential and see how life could be. And he just wasn’t there. I was pregnant with my twins. I was newly married. I just had to take a break.”

The married mother of two continued, “I don’t know if we would have ever reconnected, even if he were alive, because of the mindset he was in. He would have had to have a change of mindset and a change of company. I don’t know if he was there. I don’t know if he was willing to do that.”

Hogan Now Says That Despite Their Issues, She Is Glad Her Father Is No Longer Suffering

She shared with Us Weekly that Hulk Hogan was in severe pain prior to his death, and that she is at least happy that he is no longer suffering.

“I’m glad he’s out of pain. I know he was in a lot of pain,” the singer said of her wrestling legend father. “In a weird way, I feel like I have a better relationship with him now. I find myself just talking to him and saying all the things I wish I could have said.”

“He was kind of tough. It was hard to have tender moments with him because he just didn’t want to talk about it,” she said.

On March 31, Brooke Hogan released a new song called “Wanna Go Back,” which captures the loss of losing her father.

A clip of the song’s mournful lyrics was posted on Instagram.

“I don’t wanna go back, ’cause you were my world, and I was your girl,” she sings. “Daddy, you lying there made a fool out of me…what you did to me.”

In September 2025, two months after Hulk Hogan’s death, Brooke Hogan revealed that although she was left out of his will and cut off from his multi-million-dollar estate, it was at her request.

“It’s what I asked for, I stand by it with no regrets. My dad knows I’m a hard worker, and I have been surviving without his money for a long, long time,” she said at the time.

However, she did express her concern for ensuring her father’s estate, intellectual property, and trademarks are handled responsibly. Per TMZ, her focus has never been on financial gain, but on wanting more of her father’s “time, honesty, and love.”

Hogan Was Also Absent From Her Father’s Funeral

In a lengthy Instagram post, Brooke Hogan explained her decision not to attend her father’s funeral, noting that Hulk Hogan “hated the morbidity of funerals,” and she was sure he did not want one.

“My Dearest Daddy, You were my everything, and I will always be your girl,” her message read. “I am PROUD to be your daughter—for all the love, light, and goodness you brought into this world. Thank you for choosing me in this lifetime, and for loving me so deeply.”

“Our bond is eternal. That truth brings me comfort and hope, even in your absence. I love you more than all the stars in the sky, 4LifeAfterLife. Forever yours, Brooke,” she added.

She also shared that she appreciated the events and celebrations organized to honor him, but she chose to do so privately.

General Hospital 2-Week Spoilers April 13-24: Sonny’s Brutal Warning – Ethan’s Deadly Revenge Plot Ignites!

Published

on

General Hospital Spoilers: Sonny Corinthos (Maurice Benard) - Ethan Lovett (Nathan Dean)

General Hospital two week spoilers for April 13th through the 24th reveal Sonny Corinthos (Maurice Benard) being warned and Ethan Lovett (Nathan Dean) back and plotting.

General Hospital Spoilers Monday, April 13th: Danny Wants To Join The Mob

On Monday, April 13th, we’ve got Alexis Davis (Nancy Lee Grahn) getting upsetting news from her ex, Ric Lansing (Rick Hearst). So, he shows up at Alexis’ house and she shuts the door in his face. Can’t wait to see that. But then she relents and says, “Look, Molly Lansing‘s (Kristen Vaganos) not at home. Cody Bell (Josh Kelly) took her for a drive.”

And while Ric is glad that Molly’s getting good care from her boyfriend, the thing is Sonny sent him over to see Alexis and that’s because it’s big news that needed delivered in person. So, Ric drops the bombshell that Danny Morgan (Asher Antonyzyn) wants to join the mob. He wants to follow in his dad Jason Morgan‘s (Steve Burton) footsteps and Danny wants to punish the WSB for taking Jason from him. So, Alexis is going to freak out. She basically starfishes in her chair staring up at the ceiling kind of wide open in shock.

We also have Lucas Jones (Van Hansis) grilling Isaiah Gannon (Sawandi Wilson). He wants to know, “What were you two doing that required lifesaving measures?” So, I don’t know if this was a different situation or if Lucas found out that Isaiah was using some GH supplies. I mean, I don’t think he’s going to tell Lucas that he is treating Rocco Falconeri in secret.

GH Spoilers: Jordan in Bad Shape

Plus, Ned Quartermaine (Wally Kurth) tells Brook Lynn Quartermaine (Amanda Setton) he’s really excited about having a baby in the house again. However, there may be a hiccup. BLQ is alarmed by something. Maybe about Jordan Ashford‘s (Tanisha Harper) accident since she was on the road that night, or could be about the foster baby situation because Willow Corinthos (Katelyn MacMullen) hits an all-time low on Monday.

She may manipulate the Brook Lynn and Chase Harrison (Josh Swickard) foster thing for her own benefit because she’s desperate to stop Jack Brennan (Chris McKenna) from releasing the footage of her the night of the shooting. So, Nina Reeves (Cynthia Watros) asks Willow why she would do anything for the Quartermaines. And I’m sure it is about this messy situation and her trying to dig her own way out because she thinks that Nina might pick Charlotte Cassadine (Bluesy Burke) over her.

Meanwhile, Curtis Ashford (Donnell Turner) asked Stella if there’s been any change in Jordan’s condition because Stella comes out of a staff only area at General Hospital looking a little stressed. So, I hope Jordan is not going to need another kidney transplant because the one she has now is a mess from this car accident. As far as we know, there’s no serial killers around to donate this time.

General Hospital Spoilers: Just Helps Sonny

Sonny gets tipped off by Justine Turner (Nazneen Contractor). She warns Sonny that he is in way more danger than he thinks. Obviously, it is about Sidwell (Carlo Rota). And I think Justine may tell Sonny that Sidwell is certain that he stabbed Marco Rios (Adrian Anchondo) and is pushing for Sonny to be charged. Obviously, Justine doesn’t think he did it and she has feelings for him. Plus, Gio Palmieri (Giovanni Mazza) does something to impress Emma Scorpio-Drake (Brayden Bruner). Now, we know that Gio is going to invite her on a romantic trip to New York City soon.

GH Spoilers Tuesday, April 14th: Britt Runs Into Somebody

Then, on Tuesday, April 14th, we’ve got Britt Westbourne (Kelly Thiebaud) running into somebody, and it’s awkward. She and Lulu Spencer (Alexa Havins Bruening) have a tense encounter this week, and somebody shocks Lulu. So, I’m interested to see if Britt mentions that she thinks Jason didn’t shoot Ross Cullum (Andrew Hawkes) and instead he’s protecting somebody. I also wonder if Britt is going to get a glimpse at Rocco’s hand and starts to put the pieces together.

Plus, Willow confesses to something. Curious to see if it’s to Nina. You know, Willow may tell her she tried to kill Drew Cain (Cameron Mathison). But I think she would be crazy. Instead, if Willow’s going to confess, I think she should go to Sidwell and tell him what Jack is threatening her with. So, Nina is absolutely stunned and it could be because of Willow’s confession that she makes on Tuesday.

Wednesday, April 15th: Josslyn Does Some Snooping on General Hospital

Then on Wednesday, April 15th, we’ve got Josslyn Jacks (Eden McCoy) doing some snooping. So this week, she heads over to her mom Carly Spencer‘s (Laura Wright) place and talks to her and Valentin Cassadine (James Patrick Stuart). And based on what Josslyn says, Carly is looking quite shaken. Now I wonder if they’re talking about Cullum shooting. Josslyn may tell Valentin that she and Britt think that Jason’s protecting somebody and Joss may want Valentin’s take on this.

Laura Spencer (Genie Francis) gets a tip from Dante Falconeri (Dominic Zamprogna). And I wonder if it’s about the Sidwell stuff. Plus, Tracy Quartermaine (Jane Elliot) springs into action in a crisis. This could be about Brook Lynn and the car accident or about Brook Lynn and the foster baby situation. Ava Jerome‘s (Maura West) actions impress Sidwell. She’s been super supportive since Marco died and I think that Ava and Sidwell are going to get a lot closer soon. Plus, Curtis sticks right by Jordan’s side. He’s very supportive. You know, I think she’s going to be conscious soon, but I don’t think the medical crisis is over.

GH Spoilers Thursday, April 16th: Britt Has A Setback

Thursday, April 16th, Britt has a setback. Could be with her Huntington’s. Could be with the Cesar Faison (Anders Hove) cold fusion project that her life is literally depending on. Plus, Carly is shaken up. So many topics. Sidwell, Valentin, Jason, Jack.

Then, Josslyn gets suspicious. Now, she’s been trying to figure out who shot Cullum. And I wonder if soon she’s going to have a reason to suspect it was Rocco. Plus, Sidwell gets food for thought from somebody. And this may be about his assumption that Sonny’s the one who killed Marco.

And also, Lucas won’t budge. So, somebody may be pressuring him to move out of Wyndemere because it’s not safe. Could be Josslyn, could be Carly pressing him because she is suspicious. But he digs in his heels.

General Hospital Spoilers: Sonny Corinthos (Maurice Benard) - Ethan Lovett (Nathan Dean)General Hospital Spoilers: Sonny Corinthos (Maurice Benard) - Ethan Lovett (Nathan Dean)
General Hospital Spoilers: Sonny Corinthos – Ethan Lovett

General Hospital Spoilers Friday, April 17th: Ethan Lovett Returns

On Friday, April 17th, Laura wants to join forces with somebody. Also, on Friday, somebody has an interesting offer for Nina. And it might be Carly because we know that they have somebody in common and that is Jack.

Nina already threatened Jack with going to Carly about the things that he has been doing. So, we’ll see. I would actually like to see Nina and Carly working together, but I don’t know. There’s just too much history there.

So, Ethan Lovett is back in Port Charles on Friday. He’s going to work with Sonny to destroy Sidwell once and for all because Sidwell tried to kill both Holly Sutton (Emma Samms) and his half-sister Sasha Gilmore (Sofia Mattsson). Plus, Willow gets in Jacinda Bracken’s (Paige Herschell) face by the end of the week.

And this could be about Michael Corinthos (Rory Gibson) exposing her kids to Jacinda. Plus the Wylie Corinthos (Viron Weaver) hooker incident. Michael won’t like that and Willow may bring it up that Jacinda almost cost Brook Lynn and Chase the chance to be foster parents. Of course, I think Willow might be the one throwing a monkey wrench into that at this point. Also, Kristina Corinthos (Kate Mansi) is taken by surprise on Friday. And this may be by her ex-crush, Ethan.

General Hospital Spoilers Week of April 20th-24th

Then the week of April 20th through the 24th, we’re going to find out what Ethan’s been up to during his time away from Port Charles since we last saw him when he was put up for auction at a terrorist event. And Tracy bought and saved his life.

So, he’s going to be in scenes with Sonny plotting payback as well as Lulu and many others. Nina is at a turning point after the offer that she got recently. And of course, Ethan is going to be plotting against Sidwell and is determined to make him pay.

Also, Britt’s desperate to finish the cold fusion project so she can be done with Sidwell and Cullum. But the question is, will they let her live? Cassius Faison (Ryan Paevey) is actually trying to protect her.

Lulu is going to reunite with her brother Ethan, and she really needs her brother right now. I do wonder if Lulu is going to tell Ethan what happened and what Rocco did, because she knows she can trust him 100%.

We should find out more about Jordan’s prognosis after nearly dying. Carly and Valentin struggle with conflicted feelings for each other. Alexis tries to keep Danny on the right path. Rocco continues to struggle with his guilt.

Kristina is going to spend time with Ethan, and Michael soon hears about Willow’s confrontation with Jacinda. Sidwell keeps plotting. Lucas is determined to help Britt and Cody and Molly get even closer.

Lena Dunham Claims Adam Driver Punched A Hole In His Trailer

Published

Lena Dunham at the Uk Screening of 'Too Much'

Actress Lena Dunham has a lot to say about her “Girls” co-star Adam Driver. Although he is best known for playing the villainous Kylo Ren and the redeemed Ben Solo in the “Star Wars” sequel trilogy, he first got his start as Hannah Horvath’s on-off love interest, Adam Sackler, for all six seasons of the HBO comedy. In her tell-all memoir, “Famesick,” Dunham went into detail on her high-profile relationships, her health struggles, and the years she spent on “Girls.”

In an interview with The Guardian promoting her memoir “Famesick,” Dunham admitted, “I also care a lot about having a set where people are happy, and feel free and heard and unafraid. Largely because I don’t want people to feel some of the ways that I felt.”

Excerpts from the book weren’t published in full in the interview, but the interview does note that he was allegedly “spectacularly rude” to her and claimed that he once hurled a chair at the wall next to her, punched a hole in his trailer wall, and screamed in her face.

“At the time, I didn’t have the skill to … it never entered my mind to say, ‘I am your boss, you can’t speak to me this way,’” Dunham said in the interview when addressing Driver’s alleged behavior. “And, at that point in my 20s, I still thought that’s what great male geniuses do: eviscerate you. Which is weird, because I was raised by a male genius who would never do that.”

“I have lots of amazing men in my life,” she continued. “Judd [Apatow] is a great hero of mine; Tim Bevan at Working Title is a huge part of my life and so is cinematographer Sam Levy. I just worked with Mark Ruffalo, the most thoughtful, sensitive, politically engaged, beautiful person. There’s plenty of them walking around. But there were years when I thought: Can’t I just make things that only have women in them?”

The Hollywood Reporter reached out to Driver for comment, but he has yet to respond at the time of this article’s publication.

Adam Driver Is Known For His Intensity

In March 2026, actor Dave Franco revealed that while he was doing voice-acting for his new Pixar film “Hoppers,” the recording booth had what became known as an “Adam Driver bar” installed due to his intensity while filming his “Star Wars” lines. In a clip from BBC’s “The One Show,” Franco said:

“So, when I first went into the recording booth, I remember stepping in, and there was this metal bar in front of me. I was like, ‘Guys, what’s the bar all about?’ And they were like, ‘If you wanna lean on it, you can.’ And I was like, ‘I don’t think I’m going to lean on the bar.’ Cut to the end of the session, I am gripping that bar with all my might. I’m dripping sweat.”

After Franco said that people in the industry seriously refer to it as the “Adam Driver bar,” fellow guest Wyatt Russell confirmed the name, saying, “I’ve heard of this! I was gonna say something, and I didn’t say anything.”

Franco credited Driver’s “Star Wars” role for the feature. “Yeah, so I guess when he was playing Kylo Ren, there was some voice stuff that he did in the studio, and I guess he just needed something to hold on to.” He added, “And he invented this thing that changed animation forever.”

“Adam Driver’s a genius,” Russell added, saying that the bar “really works.”

While promoting his film “Father Mother Sister Brother” in October 2025, Driver told the Associated Press that he and director Steven Soderbergh had spent about two years developing a “Star Wars” film, which they had called “The Hunt For Ben Solo.”

The film would have centered around Driver’s character, who appeared to have died at the end of 2019’s “The Rise of Skywalker.” Although Lucasfilm approved of the idea and tapped Scott Z. Burns to write the script, it was scrapped by Disney boss Bob Iger.

“We presented the script to Lucasfilm. They loved the idea. They totally understood our angle and why we were doing it,” Driver told the publication. “We took it to Bob Iger and Alan Bergman and they said no. They didn’t see how Ben Solo was alive. And that was that.”

In various interviews promoting his new film, “The Christophers,” Soderbergh has confirmed that the movie is dead and he has no plans to revisit it.

First ‘Resident Evil’ Footage Brings Zach Cregger’s Zombie-Infested Video Game Adaptation to Life

Published

on

Austin Abrams Red Carpet Picture

2026 has been a fantastic year for Resident Evil fans so far. The release of the ninth mainline installment in the long-running survival horror video game series — Resident Evil: Requiem — has continued Capcom’s recent winning streak, selling a staggering 5 million copies in just its first five days on store shelves and earning rave reviews along the way. Between its new protagonist, Grace Ashcroft, and returning fan-favorite Leon S. Kennedy, it married both the terror and the over-the-top action that have made the series a standout over the years. Better yet, the release also comes in the year the franchise is celebrating 30 years of zombie-infected entertainment.

Requiem isn’t all that Capcom’s flagship has in store. On September 18, Resident Evil will return to theaters with a new film adaptation courtesy of Weapons director Zach Cregger. After two massive horror successes in a row, also including 2022’s Barbarian, this will be the former The Whitest Kids U’Know member’s first attempt at bringing to life a beloved universe with his own spin. Compared to the Milla Jovovich-led series and the ill-fated Welcome to Raccoon City, however, this will be an original story that still looks to harness what fans love about the games in a new way. Producer Roy Lee previously described it as a much different affair than Cregger’s Academy Award-winning effort, being “a roller coaster ride of nonstop action” that’s more about replicating the experience of trying to survive in a Raccoon City forever scarred by the t-Virus.

So far, though, details have been kept under wraps and, until now, even official images haven’t seen the light of day. During Sony Pictures’ panel at CinemaCon, however, that finally changed. The first footage was finally unleashed upon viewers with a light tease of the story Cregger co-wrote with Shay Hatten that has had those involved so excited about the film. However, the real focus is the horror, offering a peek at how the director brings his brand of horror to Raccoon City.

Cregger told the crowd that over the last several years he’s played “a shit ton” of Resident Evil, took the stage at CinemaCon to share a first look at his adaptation. Kicking things off is Euphoria and Weapons alum Austin Abrams, who finds himself searching in the empty darkness for a phone. After stumbling upon a house, he knocks to no avail. Still, he enters and uses the telephone to call his partner. As he leaves her a voicemail, we see horrific sequences play out that show the types of sinister entities that he’s up against.

Your Fate Has Been Calculated
You’d Survive In…

Your answers point to the world your instincts were built for. This is the universe your temperament, your survival instincts, and your particular brand of stubbornness were made for.

The Resistance, Zion

The Matrix
Advertisement

You took the red pill a long time ago — probably before anyone offered it to you. You’re a systems thinker who can’t help but notice the seams in things.

  • You’re drawn to understanding how the system works before figuring out how to break it.
  • You’d find the Resistance, or it would find you — your instinct for spotting constructed realities is the machines’ worst nightmare.
  • You function best when you have access to information and the freedom to act on it.
  • The Matrix built an airtight prison. You’d be the one probing the walls for the door.

The Wasteland

Mad Max
Advertisement

The wasteland doesn’t reward the clever or the well-connected — it rewards those who are hard to kill and harder to break. That’s you.

  • You don’t need comfort, community, or a cause larger than the next horizon.
  • You need a vehicle, a clear threat, and enough fuel to outrun it — and you’re good at all three.
  • You are unsentimental enough to survive that world, and decent enough — just barely — to be something more than another raider.
  • In the wasteland, that distinction is everything.

Los Angeles, 2049

Blade Runner

You’d survive here because you know how to exist in moral grey areas without losing yourself completely.

  • You read people accurately, keep your circle small, and ask the questions others prefer not to answer.
  • In a city where humanity is a legal designation rather than a feeling, you hold onto something that keeps you functional.
  • You’re not a hero. But you’re not lost, either.
  • In Blade Runner’s world, that distinction is everything.

Arrakis

Dune
Advertisement

Arrakis is the most hostile environment in the known universe — and you are precisely the kind of person it rewards.

  • Patience, discipline, and political awareness are your core strengths — and on Arrakis, they’re survival tools.
  • You understand that the long game matters more than any single victory.
  • Others come to Dune and are consumed by it. You’d learn its logic and earn its respect.
  • In time, you wouldn’t just survive Arrakis — you’d begin to reshape it.

A Galaxy Far, Far Away

Star Wars
Advertisement

The galaxy far, far away is vast, loud, and in a constant state of violent political upheaval — and you wouldn’t have it any other way.

  • You find meaning in being part of something larger than yourself — a cause, a crew, a rebellion.
  • You’d gravitate toward the Rebellion, or the fringes, or whatever pocket of the galaxy still believes the Empire’s grip can be broken.
  • You fight — not because you have to, but because standing aside isn’t something you’re capable of.
  • In Star Wars, that willingness is what makes all the difference.

Leading the fight against the undead will be an actor Cregger is very familiar withEuphoria star Austin Abrams. He was previously seen as local burglar James in Weapons, but it’s safe to say he’s getting a much bigger role this time around after meeting a grim fate at the hands of Aunt Gladys (Amy Madigan). He’ll be a medical courier navigating this nightmarish disaster, alongside Paul Walter Hauser, Zach Cherry, Kali Reis, and Johnno Wilson. There may be no Leon, Jill, Wesker, Ada, or Claire and Chris Redfield, but the film appears to be in good hands, with Cregger previously describing himself as a “rabid” fan of the Resident Evil games and expressing his desire to both adhere to the lore and the world while also making something that can stand on its own.

Resident Evil shambles into theaters on September 18. Stay tuned here at Collider for more coverage from CinemaCon throughout the week.

Brand New Day’ Footage Reveals the Devastating Impact of ‘Now Way Home’

Published

on

Spider-Man: Brand New Day Poster

For years, Tom Holland has kept audiences entertained as the perfect Peter Parker in a lineup of standalone Spider-Man films as well as several Avengers flicks. But soon, the smiles will fade to frowns when a much darker installment in Holland’s time as the web-slinging superhero comes to pass in Spider-Man: Brand New Day. Last year, director Destin Daniel Cretton took to the stage during Sony’s panel at CinemaCon to unveil the long-awaited movie’s title, so it’s only right that the attendees received a brand-new look at — well — Brand New Day. With hype only continuing to grow about the movie that will see Holland reprise his role alongside other in-universe favorites played by Zendaya and Jacob Batalon, as well as the eagerly awaited addition of Jon Bernthal’s Punisher, our new look has everything that Spider-Man fans could want and then some.

In our first look at Spider-Man: Brand New Day, we see the fallout of Peter’s selfless choices made at the end of No Way Home. Sitting by himself, he watches as Ned walks into a bodega to get a few mini kegs for a party. Taking matters into his own hands, he follows his forgotten bestie back to Ned’s apartment, where a party is already in full swing. The apartment is packed, so no one notices the stranger walk in, with Peter walking around the home before he notices a handful of newspaper clippings that reveal Ned’s been tracking Spider-Man’s heroic efforts.

After Ned catches Peter, he tells him that he’s been hoping to thank the vigilante someday for saving him and his pals back in high school. Just when Peter and Ned are talking about the prime suspects, who happen to be Mr. Harrington (Martin Starr) and Flash (Tony Revolori), MJ enters the room, leaving Peter — or Maynard as he introduces himself — breathless. In the most crushing moment of what we’re shown, MJ’s new boyfriend (Eman Esfandi) shows up, and they share a passionate kiss right in front of an obviously heartbroken Peter.

Queens, New York

🕷️ Spider-Man

You carry the weight of the world on shoulders that are younger than they should have to be — funny, loyal, and endlessly self-sacrificing.

  • You do the right thing not because it’s easy, but because no one else will.
  • You understand that responsibility isn’t a burden you choose — it’s one that finds you.
  • Whether it’s a neighbourhood mugging or a multiverse crisis, you show up.
  • Peter Parker’s lesson — that great power demands great responsibility — isn’t a slogan to you. It’s the code you live by, even when it costs you everything.

Hell’s Kitchen, New York

😈 Daredevil

You fight in the shadows between law and chaos, guided by a fierce moral compass that refuses to let the guilty walk free.

  • You use every tool available — your mind, your body, your faith — to protect those the system overlooks.
  • You’ve looked into the darkness and chosen not to become it, though the line has never been easy.
  • Matt Murdock’s duality — champion in the courtroom, devil in the alley — mirrors your own.
  • Relentless, conflicted, and unwilling to stop. That is exactly you.

Stark Industries, Malibu

🤖 Iron Man

Brilliant, driven, and occasionally insufferable — but always the person who solves the unsolvable problem.

  • You lead with your mind and back it up with resources, innovation, and a stubbornness that borders on heroic.
  • You started out looking out for yourself, but somewhere along the way the world became your responsibility.
  • Tony Stark’s arc — from ego to sacrifice — is your arc too.
  • You build, you plan, and when the moment comes, you’re willing to give everything. Because in the end, you’re Iron Man.

New York City

💀 The Punisher

You’ve been through fire that would break most people — and it did change you, completely. What’s left is unyielding, relentless, and operating by a code forged in grief.

  • You don’t ask for forgiveness, and you don’t expect gratitude.
  • You see a corrupt, broken world and you’ve decided to do something about it, consequences be damned.
  • Frank Castle’s war is born from love twisted by loss — and so is yours.
  • Uncompromising and unflinching — the world may not agree with your methods, but your conviction is absolute.

Asgard · Protector of the Nine Realms

⚡ Thor

Powerful, proud, and on a lifelong journey to become worthy of the legend you carry.

  • You lead with strength but have learned — sometimes painfully — that true greatness comes from humility and growth.
  • You’re larger than life, yet more vulnerable than you let on.
  • Thor’s story is one of transformation: from arrogant prince to worthy king, from isolated warrior to beloved protector.
  • You bring the storm when it’s needed — and the warmth when it matters just as much.

Brooklyn, New York · The Avengers

🛡️ Captain America

You believe in something bigger than yourself — and you fight for it even when the world has moved on and nobody else will.

  • You don’t bully the small guy, and you never stop when it gets hard.
  • Steve Rogers didn’t become a hero when he got the serum — he was always one. So were you.
  • Your strength isn’t in your fists; it’s in your refusal to compromise what’s right, no matter the cost.
  • In a world full of people taking the easy road, you’re the one who picks up the shield and stands up — every single time.

When Niall Horan Caddied for Rory McIlroy — and Fell on Live TV

Published

on

Remember When Niall Horan Caddied for Rory McIlroy and Wiped Out on Live TV?

Before Rory McIlroy became a back-to-back Masters champion, he handed his golf bag to a pop star — and the internet got one of its favorite sports crossover moments.

At the 2015 Masters Par-3 Contest, One Direction’s Niall Horan served as McIlroy’s celebrity caddie at Augusta National. The pairing of a global music star and the world No. 1 golfer was already drawing cameras. Then Horan slipped on pine straw, right before an on-camera interview, and the moment became a widely shared clip that fans still revisit more than a decade later.

Broadcaster Kirsty Gallacher, who was about to interview the pair, reacted in real time: “Oh no, Niall.”

How a Text Message to Niall Horan From Rory McIlroy Started It All

The story behind the unlikely pairing is almost as good as the stumble itself. Horan later revealed that McIlroy personally reached out to him just days before the event.

Speaking on the “Fore Play Podcast” in 2023, Horan said, “He just texted me like a week before. He said do you fancy carrying the bag for the Par-3. I was like, let me start crying. The old Irish thing has this connection. I guess, sure, and we have got a lot of mutual friends beforehand and we knew each other quite well.”

Despite the on-air wipeout, Horan was nothing but thrilled to be there.

“It’s just great to be at Augusta,” Horan told Sky Sports 4 in 2015. “I knew about a year ago I had the time off to come to the Masters. Then I met this man (McIlroy) and he asked me, ‘did I want to carry the bag on Wednesday?’ Of course, if the world No 1 asks you to carry his bag, you carry it!”

The Masters reigning champion Rory McIlroy spent the first two rounds of the 2026 tournament paired with 18-year-old Mason Howell — and left the young golfer with some sound advice. “Hopefully he saw that you don’t have to be perfect to shoot good scores,” McIlroy said to reporters after the second round of The Masters […]

McIlroy, for his part, revealed the arrangement came with strings attached — for him.

“The deal was if I made him hit a shot here, they’re playing in Boston when I’m there at the end of summer and I’ll have to go up on stage and maybe sing a few lines, so (I’m) not looking forward to that! It has been a great afternoon and he’s a great sport for doing it.”

Why This Viral Niall Horan, Rory McIlroy Moment Is Back in the Spotlight

The 2015 clip has resurfaced following McIlroy’s 2026 Masters victory, where he completed the career Grand Slam and successfully defended his title.

He became just the fourth golfer in Masters history to win back-to-back titles, joining Jack Nicklaus, Nick Faldo and Tiger Woods. That historic achievement has sent fans digging back through McIlroy’s greatest Augusta moments — and the Horan caddying clip sits near the top of the list.

Stoll, 38, and Poppy twinned in caddie uniforms that featured McIlroy’s […]

Horan isn’t just a celebrity who showed up for a photo op. He carries an approximate 8-9 handicap and is a regular at pro-ams. In 2016, he founded Modest! Golf Management to support young talent, growing it into a successful firm with clients on major tours.

The 2015 Par-3 Contest endures as a fan-favorite moment because it delivered something rare: two huge names from completely different worlds, genuine friendship, a live TV blooper and a story that only got better with time.

Now that McIlroy has cemented himself among golf’s all-time greats, the clip of his famous caddie eating it on pine straw hits a little differently.

Vanderpump Villa Season 3 Feature DadTok Despite Dakota Drama

Hulu’s first look at season 3 of Vanderpump Villa did not feature Dakota Mortensen amid his public scandal with Taylor Frankie Paul — but DadTok is expected to return.

Marciano Brunette confirmed via his Instagram Story on Saturday, April 11, that cast members from The Secret Lives of Mormon Wives would appear in Vanderpump Villa’s upcoming season. In the Thursday, April 9, trailer, there were guest appearances made by cast members from Love Island, The Challenge, Bachelor Nation and more.

Dakota, 33, and DadTok, meanwhile, were not mentioned or seen in any of the footage after news previously broke that he would be edited out of the show following an alleged domestic dispute with Taylor, 31.

The reality couple’s ups and downs were documented on Hulu’s The Secret Lives of Mormon Wives before production on season 5 paused in March due to an alleged February incident between Dakota and Taylor. They have since filed temporary restraining orders against each other, with Dakota getting primary custody of their 2-year-old son, Ever, while Taylor was granted supervised visits until their next court hearing.

“This year she’s invited back not only Stassi Schroeder, but also stars from the biggest reality franchises on TV, who are trying to escape the ‘real’ world … but can’t shake the consequences of it,” the synopsis teases. “These guests with messy pasts, hidden agendas and unresolved feuds arrive ready to sip champagne, spark romance and stir the pot as old rivalries reignite and new hookups heat up.”

The description concludes: “Fan‑favorite staff return seeking redemption while eight ambitious newcomers fight for their place to meet Lisa’s high standards. With a life-changing bonus on the line, some will thrive but not everyone will survive the wildest summer ever at Vanderpump Villa.”

There are several cast members returning from last season — including Marciano Brunette and Hannah Fouch — along with newcomers to Lisa’s team. Season 3 of “Euphoria” has finally premiered, ending a nearly four-year wait since its last season. Created by Sam Levinson, the new chapter brings back familiar faces, including Sydney Sweeney as Cassie.

In the opening episode, Cassie is now engaged to Nate, played by Jacob Elordi, with their relationship described by Rue (portrayed by Zendaya) as existing in a “right-wing suburban bubble.”

As she looks for ways to gain financial independence, Cassie turns to adult content creation in an attempt to build her online following, with scenes showing her staging provocative photo shoots.

However, much of the online conversation has focused on a controversial teaser moment in which Cassie appears dressed as a baby sucking on a pacifier and then dressed as a dog, sparking strong reactions from viewers.

Many described the imagery as “disgusting,” while others questioned whether the clip was real or digitally altered, though it has since been confirmed as part of the show.

The Actress’s Scene Led To A Major Outcry Online, With Some Branding It A ‘Humiliation Ritual’

On social media, fans of the show seemed largely displeased by the Sweeney scene, with many calling out the show’s creator.

A person wrote on X, “This is so embarrassing even for Jacob. But, how Sydney Sweeney can agree to do something like this? It’s like a humiliation ritual.”

Another said, “Hey, Sidney Sweeney …. you can set standards for yourself. This is repulsive.”

“So Sydney Sweeny saw this in the script and still agreed to do this?” a person asked, adding, “Both Sam Levinson and Sydney Sweeny and everyone who is involved in this should be banned.”

One more netizen noted, “This is weird as f-ck, don’t even know why Sydney would agree to do that.”

Sydney Sweeney Defends Explicit Scenes, Says They Serve Story, Not Shock Value

Sweeney has previously spoken out about the ongoing conversation surrounding her involvement in explicit scenes, pushing back on how audiences often blur the line between actors and the characters they portray.

In a 2022 interview with The Hollywood Reporter, she explained that this blurred line frequently leads to unfair assumptions about her personal identity.

While the “White Lotus” star has made it clear she has “no problems” with such scenes and “won’t stop doing them,” she has consistently emphasized that these moments serve the story rather than existing for shock value.

This approach is evident in projects like “Euphoria” and “The Voyeurs,” where her performances have sparked both praise and debate.

Speaking in a separate interview with The Independent, Sweeney shared that she approaches these scenes thoughtfully, working closely with creator Sam Levinson to agree on what is necessary for each moment. Still, she admitted that public reaction hasn’t always been easy to navigate.

Sydney Sweeney Calls Out Double Standards Around Nude Scenes For Male And Female Actors

Reflecting on her role in “Euphoria,” Sweeney expressed frustration that her performance was often overshadowed by discussions about nudity rather than her acting.

She also pointed out what she sees as a clear double standard in the industry, noting that “When a guy has a sex scene or shows his body, he still wins awards and gets praise. But the moment a girl does it, it’s completely different.”

More recently, Sweeney has drawn attention for her physical transformation in a biopic about boxer Christy Martin. She revealed that she gained around 30 pounds and underwent intense training for the role, describing the experience as both demanding and empowering.

More recently, Sweeney has also been getting attention for how far she goes for her roles. She gained around 30 pounds and trained intensely to play boxer Christy Martin in a recently released biopic. She described the process as tough but exciting, saying her body changed a lot and she became very strong.

Alongside that transformation, she has also faced online criticism about her appearance. In response, Sweeney took to social media to share a video highlighting both the negative comments and the rigorous training behind her new role.

Sydney Sweeney’s Rumored James Bond Role Sparks Buzz As Experts Say Franchise Could Benefit Too

Adding to her momentum, Sweeney’s rumored connection to the “James Bond” franchise has further cemented her status as one of Hollywood’s most in-demand rising stars.

The speculation gained traction after director Paul Feig publicly supported the idea of her taking on the lead role, suggesting she could step beyond the traditional “Bond girl” archetype and portray the spy herself, calling her a strong fit for the character.

Industry experts say that association with the long-running franchise could elevate Sweeney from a trending “it girl” to a globally recognized name. However, some believe the impact could go both ways.

Reputation specialist Ryan McCormick noted that Sweeney has already “arrived and has had a sustained level of relevancy for at least three years,” arguing that the franchise might benefit just as much, if not more, from her involvement.

He added: “Her role would likely draw core fans as well as a curious public to see if she has the potential to display a versatility in acting that we haven’t seen yet.”
