The Strictly Come Dancing star was eliminated first from the BBC show alongside his partner Amy Dowden.
Thomas Skinner has confirmed his return to BBC after missing the Strictly Come Dancing final last month.
During Tuesday’s (Janaury 13) instalment of Good Morning Britain, ITV viewers saw presenters Ed Balls and Susanna Reid speak to the former BBC The Apprentice candidate.
Last year, Thomas took part in Strictly alongside fan-favourite Amy Dowden. However, ahead of their debut together, Thomas received a wave of backlash online.
The star was eliminated first in the competition, which sparked speculation the votes were rigged to boot him off of the show over the negative publicity,
However, when speaking to Susanna and Ed, she read out a statement from the BBC which stated: “Strictly Come Dancing’s public vote is independently overseen and verified to ensure complete accuracy every week. Any claims to the contrary are entirely without foundation.”
During their discussion, Thomas spoke about his brief time on the show as he revealed more plans to work with the broadcaster in the future.
Addressing the rumours that he was going to take legal action against the BBC, Thomas shared: “I did have some chats with the BBC, I did.
“They said ‘You’ve been sent something you shouldn’t have been sent, it is what it is. We think you should get some legal advice.’ That was the chat with the BBC.
“I’ve got no rows with the BBC, I was on the Celebrity Apprentice raiding money for Children in Need a week after, and I’m doing bits with them next year.”
