Ex-Man Utd star Tuanzebe makes frantic dash to hospital after Liverpool draw against Burnley with wife in labour
AXEL TUANZEBE rushed to hospital following Burnley’s stunning stalemate with Liverpool – after his wife went into labour.
The defender, 28, played a key role in the Clarets walking away from Anfield with what could prove to be a crucial point in their push to avoid relegation.

Burnley snatched a 1-1 draw thanks to Marcus Edwards’ clinical second half leveller.
Florian Wirtz had initially put reigning Premier League champions Liverpool on course for victory despite Dominik Szoboszlai’s penalty miss.
But Tuanzebe did not hang around for the celebrations after the final whistle.
He was spotted making a frantic dash straight down the tunnel when referee Andy Madley blew the final whistle.
And Burnley chief Scott Parker confirmed that Tuanzebe was desperate to get to hospital for the birth of his child.
He said: “Axel’s wife has gone into labour. It was touch and go whether he would play as it was going on for about 16 hours.
“But we had a car outside with the engine running and he’s with her now.”
Tuanzebe joined Burnley on a free transfer from relegated Ipswich last summer.

And the Democratic Republic of Congo international has gone on to make 11 appearances for the Clarets.
He was thrust straight back into the starting line-up after returning from the Africa Cup of Nations.
Tuanzebe is expected to retain his starting place when Burnley host Tottenham next weekend.
The former Manchester United prodigy is desperate to improve the Clarets’ Premier League survival hopes.
Burnley remain eight points adrift of safety despite their shock draw against Liverpool.
