Celtic submit transfer bid for “most exciting prospect” Michael Noonan
Celtic have submitted a bid for one of the most promising teenage strikers in Europe as Martin O’Neill seeks to reinforce his attacking options in the January transfer window.

O’Neill admitted the change of venue for Celtic’s Scottish Gas Scottish Cup clash with Auchinleck Talbot will likely favour his side.
The West of Scotland Premier Division club had to move the fourth-round tie away from their Beechwood Park home to nearby Rugby Park in Kilmarnock, following police instructions.
The Ayrshire outfit and their fans were not happy with the decision and O’Neill could see why.
“If I wasn’t manager of Celtic, I’d be really disappointed,” said O’Neill, whose side laboured to a 1-0 William Hill Premiership win at Falkirk on Wednesday.
“Now, as I am manager of Celtic, then I’m probably quite pleased. Do you know what? It might (help us).
“We need to play a lot better than we did the other night on the plastic surface anyway. Perhaps that might help level things out a wee bit.”
The Hoops manager has also been vocal in his desire for more signings this month as they work to chase down Hearts at the top of the Premiership table.
“We are making progress. Remarkably, I think we are. We’re definitely a bit closer.”
His side travel to Tynecastle next Sunday and the 73 year-old wants fresh faces through the door before that all-important clash.

Celtic submit bid for Michael Noonan
While most of the rumours floating around have focused on senior options such as West Ham United’s Callum Wilson, Fabrizio Romano revealed this weekend that Celtic have bid for Shamrock Rovers striker Michael Noonan.
The 17 year-old has scored nine times in 46 appearances for Rovers’ senior side, and has been hailed as “the most exciting propsect we have in the LOI right now” by RTE pundit Keith Treacy.
Noonan would presumably immediately come into the senior set-up at Parkhead, but one has to think O’Neill would want a more experienced option brought in alongside the promising teenager.
