Saudi Arabia has announced higher Saudisation requirements for private-sector marketing and sales roles, in a move aimed at strengthening employment opportunities for Saudi nationals and enhancing labour-market stability.

The Ministry of Human Resources and Social Development said the changes take effect from Monday, January 19, 2026, and apply to establishments employing three or more workers.

Under the first decision, the Saudisation rate for private-sector marketing professions will rise to 60 per cent. The ministry said the measure will be implemented three months after the announcement.

The decision covers a wide range of roles, including marketing and advertising managers, specialists, designers, public relations professionals, and photographers.

A second decision raises the Saudisation rate for private-sector sales positions to 60 per cent, also applying to establishments with three or more employees and taking effect three months after the announcement.

Roles covered include sales managers, retail and wholesale sales representatives, IT and communications equipment sales specialists, and commercial specialists.

According to the ministry, the implementation of the two decisions is expected to make the labour market more attractive, create quality job opportunities, and promote job stability for qualified Saudi nationals.
