Gordon Ramsay’s restaurant group is expanding its footprint with the launch of a new site in Bath this year. The celebrity chef’s Bread Street Kitchen & Bar will open at the DoubleTree by Hilton on Walcot Street in August.

The chain was established by Ramsay near St Paul’s Cathedral in London some 15 years ago and now has branches across the UK and overseas including in Singapore, Dubai and Bangkok.

The Bath restaurant will serve the chef’s signature dishes including his beef wellington, fish and chips, and a Sunday roast, and will be open for lunch and dinner. Meanwhile, the bar will sell a range of snacks and cocktails including ‘hot honey margarita’ and ‘spicy mango colada’.

The restaurant’s interiors were designed by Stafford-based design company Aspinall Creative Studios and include leather seating along with “bespoke artwork and atmospheric lighting”.

“We couldn’t think of a better city than Bath for our next Bread Street Kitchen & Bar,” said Andy Wenlock, chief executive of Gordon Ramsay Restaurants Global.

“The city offers a compelling combination of a strong local community and a discerning international visitor base. Our commitment to exceptional food and drink, as well as world-class service, aligns perfectly with this market. We look forward to establishing a meaningful presence in the city this summer.”

Brady Smith, general manager at DoubleTree by Hilton Bath said that partnering with Gordon Ramsay Restaurants Global was a “hugely exciting step” for the city’s community.

“It is a partnership built on a shared ambition for creating exceptional hospitality experiences, and we are thrilled to be opening this August,” he said.

Ramsay’s restaurant group said the launch of Bread Street Kitchen & Bar in Bath marked “another milestone” in the brand’s evolution.

In February, the group opened a Bread Street Kitchen and Bar at Bishopsgate in London – Ramsay’s 100th restaurant.
