Magnificent Seven Slide as Alphabet’s Stock Issuance Plan Raises AI Spending Fears
The market wasn’t overly fazed by Alphabet’s equity issuance plan, but the move did appear to revive some worries about Big Tech capital spending. Alphabet, Microsoft, online retailer Amazon, and Facebook parent Meta Platforms are the biggest of the so-called hyperscalers, and Wall Street expects them to plow hundreds of billions of dollars a year into AI.
