North Shields accountants Hurren & Jubb merge with national group Streets

A Tyneside accountancy practice has joined a growing national advisory group after almost 40 years of trading. North Shields-based Hurren & Jubb Accountants has joined top 40 UK accountancy and advisory practice Streets, and will now trade as Streets Hurren & Jubb.

The Albion Road office was first established in 1988 and has built a reputation for supporting businesses and individuals across North Tyneside and the wider North East. Directors said joining Streets marks the next stage in the firm’s growth.

Shaun Jubb, director at Streets Hurren & Jubb, joined the practice in 2013 and was made director six years later. He said: “As the practice continues to grow, joining a national firm is the natural next step. It allows us to continue providing the personal service our clients value while giving them access to a much broader range of specialist expertise.

“Our team has embraced the transition, and our focus has been on making the process as smooth as possible for our people and our clients.”

The merger, which comes four months after Mr Jubb met Streets chairman and CEO Paul Tutin, gives clients immediate access to Streets’ specialist areas including tax relief, tax planning, grants and funding advice, as well as a wider network of technical specialists.

Mr Jubb said he has already seen early benefits for the practice, including boosted HR support, greater assistance with recruitment and access to a broader talent pool to support future growth.

He added: “From our first conversation, Paul was approachable, genuine and down-to-earth. Throughout the process he was always available, supportive and easy to deal with. What you see is what you get, and that gave us confidence we were making the right decision.”
