Qualcomm Is a Rare AI Chip Value Play
It’s far from certain that Qualcomm QCOM 4.29%increase; up pointing triangle can become a force in the data-center chip business. But unlike other speculative AI chip plays, investors aren’t placing a crazy bet that it will be.
A quick look at the stock might suggest otherwise. Qualcomm’s share price has surged more than 40% since the company disclosed a major data-center customer during its last earnings call in late April. That exceeds the gains of most other chip stocks in that time.
