SpaceX Investors Brace for Volatility as Insider Stock Hits Market
SpaceX investors haven’t had much fun lately, with the stock down 20% from its IPO price. Another blow could land today, with $100 billion worth of shares now eligible for sale.
Up to 911.5 million SpaceX shares are set to become available for trading today when a lock-up period ends for some company employees and early investors.
These types of share unlocks are standard for company insiders after an IPO. But this one is worth watching, not least because of the scale. The release will more than double the amount of SpaceX stock that freely trades.
