Stock Futures Waver Near Flatline as Wall Street Craves Diplomacy
Stock futures were largely treading water ahead of Tuesday’s opening bell as investors weighed whether hope for an Iran deal is enough to lift equities further.
Dow Jones Industrial Average futures added 0.4%, or 197 points. S&P 500 futures inched 0.1% higher. Nasdaq 100 futures ticked 0.1% lower after wavering at the flatline.
Yesterday, optimism that this week could bring a resolution to the war in Iran fueled a stock market rally, sending the Nasdaq Composite to a fresh record high. Oil futures and Treasury yields fell on hope for a deal.
