Tech Stocks Slide as Odds of a September Rate Hike Rise

The stock market slipped in the wake of Federal Reserve Chairman Kevin Warsh’s Jackson Hole debut.

The Nasdaq Composite fell 0.5% on Friday. The S&P 500 dropped 0.3%. The Dow Jones Industrial Average was essentially flat.

Warsh didn’t commit to raising interest rates in September, but his remarks at the Wyoming economic policy conference sent the yield on the 2-year Treasury note spiking.
