Novartis Stock Dives After Ionis-Partnered Lp(a) Blocker Fails
Novartis (NVS) said late Friday its Ionis Pharmaceuticals (IONS)-partnered Lp(a) blocker, pelacarsen, failed in Phase 3 testing. The results sent Novartis and Ionis stocks tumbling in after-hours action. Lp(A), or lipoprotein A, is an emerging cardiovascular marker.
